I don't care if it isn't a real one shot, THAT scene was absolutely insane.
Did Aquaman just reference Loki and Azkaban in the same sentence? Lol
A cheap ending to a franchise I love.
Terrible story, they erase the character's memories in the very first scene (just like where the end of Chapter 2 left off) and then we spend most of the movie trying to get those memories back. It's frustrating, annoying and the characters are made dumb because of it. Basically, it took way too long to get back to where we were at the start. Eliminate that unnecessary plot and you don't have much left. Which is why it feels like nothing happened. It takes so long to get started too, a solid 40 minutes with no scares. On top of that they didn't even bother giving the entity a backstory. Every Insidious movie gives a story to their villain, however small it may be. Absolutely nothing here. Elise's story looked promising at the end of Chapter 2, well it's as if they said "never mind that" because she only gets two scenes and they're completely unrelated to how things end for her in Chapter 2.
What worked well is Dalton (Ty Simpkins) he shows that he's capable of carrying the movie on his own and I like what personnality they gave him. Some of the father son dynamics were fairly interesting but that aside, Josh (Patrick Wilson)'s story felt pushed and what's with his father scaring the shit out of him by running through a window only to later appear as an angel. What happened between those two scenes to get to that? Chris (Sinclair Daniel) was by far my favorite, her comedic relief was welcome. I believe she takes on the role of Specs and Tucker here. The one scene they had was awesome, I hope they get a spin-off.
The paintings: those were fabulous, creepy and I only wanted more of them and that weird teacher which the movie completely forgets in the second half. I won't complain about the jumpscares sinse they've been part of this franchise for a while but some of them were incredibly cheap and predictable. Every scene with Darth Maul was genuinely scary though and i'm not sure if him being scary is just PTSD from watching the first. Too bad he was barely in the movie. The possession scenes are the most memorable and I like how they beat the entity. It just feels like it happened too fast (like how did they get the idea to beat the entity that way?) and I couldn't believe the movie ended when it ended.
like predicted, that was absolute garbage

This show, just like a few other MCU shows, doesn't know what it wants to be. It's hard critiquing it when it's obvious it's just another empty series designed to keep & feed Disney+ subscribers, rather than delivering something of value to the franchise. A mere filler, an appetizer for their Daredevil show, which failed to appetize the viewers.
After binging this, I feel really nervous about MCU's Daredevil reboot. Will it just become another pale imitation of the Netflix series? Are they gonna ruin Matt Murdock's character by their sloppy writing, just like they did here to Kingpin?
I used to wish for the MCU to make the Netflix Marvel series canon, and continue their story. Now I kind of wish they'd leave it alone.
so so incredibly boring. i realy dont know what ive seen. such a waste of my time watching this
Fight scenes in the skating rink was great but otherwise this show is a bore. Also I don't care about the historical aspects to the character. Not sure why every new Marvel character needs to do this? They did it with Ms. Marvel and it was boring then, and it's boring now.
Really enjoying this still but probably the weakest one yet.
Don't get why the Chimera would stop breathing fire right next to Percy, when it has him cornered in a narrow hallway.
Think I'm going to need to read the books now.
This episode bugged me because the writers don't know the difference between poisonous and venomous and continued to utilize the wrong word over and over in the episode.
This show is 50% dumb love story (I say dumb because the director doesn't know how human emotions work) , 40% stupidity and 10% heist.
utterly disappointed
Ouch. I've watched some hot garbage before, and I'll likely watch another episode at least. But this has some issues. For one, Inhuman society is horrible. Monarchy, castes, those that don't get terragenesis manifestations are enslaved.
And what was up with awkward beach party. I'm glad they shaved off that hair, that was just awful. And Blackbolt is as compelling a character as warm, spoiled milk. I'm struggling to find anything redeeming in this rn.
My favorite thing about this episode was recognizing locations from lost.
Wow, what a hot mess this show is. I don't know who green lit this, but it was a huge mistake.
The acting is stilted; the writing and dialogue is painfully awkward ("Flyers are awesome! I love flyers!"); the show feels low budget 90s show with some OK special effects thrown in because it's the premiere of a Marvel property. It's obvious that the money spent for the premiere is not going to be spent for future episode -- they shaved off Medusa's hair within the first episode, my guess is so that they can save money in future episodes by not having to animate it.
The bad cliched decisions are all over the place. For instance, good guys wear bright colorful outfits. The bad guys? They wear all black.
The villain in the show is a puny plain human. It's also hard to bond with Black Bolt who doesn't speak and is a king of a city that enslaves citizens that don't have powers.
This show is going to be the first one of the 2017 season that I am removing from the DVR schedule.
