Anyone knows where I can watch it?
Just really a fun movie. You can just tell everyone set had fun filming it and the movie doesn't take itself too seriously at all. Best way to describe it is it felt like a 1.5 hour long reel. Don't have expectations of a solid story progression/storyline like that.
There are a lot of things that I admired about the Barbie movie. For starters, I adored the actual ‘Barbie’ world, both in its presentation and the way in which the physics of playing with toys manifests into the functionality of the setting. It’s bright, colorful, exciting, and displays nothing short of extravagant production design.
It has themes of what it means to be woman with some really powerful monologues. All around fun time good vibes.
First and foremost, I’d be remiss to not highlight the stunning animation style that the film incorporates. On a personal level, I’m very enthusiastic about the recent trend embracing the "spider-verse" animation technique, particularly in action-oriented animated films. In my opinion, this comic-book-inspired visual aesthetic injects a remarkable degree of versatility and intensity into the film's action sequences, elevating them to levels of excitement that otherwise would’ve remained unattained. The animation imparts a sense of swiftness, raw energy, and exhilaration, and this movie leverages it to its fullest potential.
Surprisingly, I think this might be the first time where I've witnessed these teenage mutant ninja turtles truly embody the essence of adolescence and act like real teenagers. This portrayal injected a distinctive and unique dimension into their characters and banter, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Cowabunga!!!
At its core, Past Lives is an exploration of the profound notion of pondering our most significant "what ifs" in life.
Unlike almost any other film I've seen, this movie beautifully captures the yearning and longing that arise when we contemplate the paths we didn't take. It lays bare the raw vulnerability that emerges as we confront the choices we made and the roads left unexplored. Yet, it also highlights the inherent beauty in such contemplation, revealing how we can find solace, inspiration, and personal growth by revisiting the untrodden paths. It delicately portrays the painful yet cathartic nature of this process, compelling even ourselves to confront our deepest desires, regrets, and unfulfilled moments.
I really can’t recommend this film enough. It’s simple, yet extraordinary, in its presentation, guided excellently by great cinematography, remarkable performances, and a gorgeous soundtrack.
Bravery triumphs
Outstanding storytelling of a common man with all odds against him, and raising through challenges to achieve triumph.
This is a unique and one of a kind story that builds slowly and immerses you in the world where the powerless becomes powerful with the inner voice awakening him and to the fullest. The protagonist, rises up against the oppressors and becomes a beacon of hope for the villagers. As he fights for their rights, he faces numerous challenges and confrontations, testing his own determination and endurance parallelly. The writer blends this socially messaged story with a simple fantasy which makes this unique.Overall a must watch.
The Art of War
Por Thozhil emerges as a Tamil cinematic marvel that seizes your attention right from its initial frame, maintaining its grip until an unforgettable climax. With its masterful narrative, captivating screenplay, and impactful acting, this production rightfully garners the praise it has earned. What truly sets Por Tholil apart is its ability to communicate a profound social message while maintaining a compelling narrative. The movie bravely sheds light on the harsh realities faced by the marginalized sections of society and the unscrupulous practices that exploit their vulnerability. It challenges the audience to reflect on the grim realities that often go unnoticed or overlooked.
Por Tholil is a thought-provoking film that touches upon issues that need urgent attention. It challenges societal norms and ignites a desire for change. It not only entertains but also educates and inspires. This masterpiece is a shining example of Indian cinema's prowess in storytelling.
The world forever changes.
Cinematography wise, Amazing. So immersive. Nolan knocked it out of the park as usual. So story wise, there were some moments where my heart thumping, smart dialogue etc.
But it felt more like a documentary than a biopic. I would've love to know more about Oppenheimer as a person rather than seeing a sequence of events that unfolded. He's such a complex character put into a unique situation, I really wish Nolan dived more into that part. Also, there's always so much happening, you can't miss a single dialogue or you'll be like: 'wait wth is happening who's that guy again now". You will know when you see it.
What truly sets Oppenheimer apart is its exploration of profound moral questions. The film delves into the ethics of scientific discovery, the consequences of playing with unimaginable power, and the weight of decisions that can shape the course of history. It leaves the audience pondering the moral ambiguities surrounding Oppenheimer's work and its lasting impact on humanity.
In conclusion, Oppenheimer is a tour de force in film-making. It combines exceptional storytelling, outstanding performances, and thought-provoking themes that resonate long after the credits roll. If you're a fan of historical dramas or simply appreciate outstanding cinema, this movie is an absolute must-see. It deserves every accolade and stands as one of the finest films of our time.
Definitely worth a watch, but make sure you brush up on your WW2 history knowledge or else you might not get the full context.
Mankind was born on Earth. It was never meant to die here.
I had a privilege to experience in the theater in a freakin BIG SCREEN. I wasn't a movie buff nor I used to go to the movies when this was released. But we had a screening at our place, and I freakin loved it.
It's a bold, beautiful cosmic adventure story with a touch of the surreal and the dreamlike.
It’s damn near three hours long. There’s that. Also, Interstellar is a space odyssey with no UFOs, no blue-skinned creatures from another planet, no alien bursting from the chest of star Matthew McConaughey.
Just as his Batman trilogy was far more philosophical and knottily plotted than the average superhero movie, Interstellar is sufficiently grand and challenging to bear comparison with those two touchstones of mind-bending epic sci-fi: Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey and Tarkovsky’s Solaris.
Hans Zimmer’s music makes the film seem even more colossal than it would otherwise: Zimmer invokes the original meaning of ‘pulls out all the stops’, rattling our teeth with reverberating pipe-organ chords. And the acting is as full-blooded as anything you’d find in an earthbound drama.
Next comes the wow factor that makes Interstellar nirvana for movie lovers. A high-tension docking maneuver. A surprise visitor. A battle on the frozen tundra. A tidal wave the size of a mountain.
Newton's third law – the only way humans have ever figured out of getting somewhere is to leave something behind.
You can erase someone from your mind. Getting them out of your heart is another story.
Some people find this movie boring and unnecessarily confusing, but I personally think that this movie is one of the most fascinating and creative movies I have seen. If you enjoyed Christopher Nolan's Inception, I bet you will love Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind. This movie made me GASP and literally go WHAT??
The plot twist is insane and I was mind-blown by the end of the movie. If you are thinking about watching this movie, don't hesitate and play it now, you will not regret. A perfect mind-twisting blending between romance and sci-fi.
The city shines brightest at night.
A dark satirical social commentary on the world of media.
Nightcrawler follows local hustler Lou Bloom (Jake Gyllenhaal) as he enters the world of crime journalism. Lou's journey and his cold, unfeeling character are both enjoyable and frightening. Congrats to Jake Gyllenhaal to playing this unfeeling sociopath perfectly.
The direction of this film feels a bit scattered at first but the plot wraps around to an interesting path. The ending leaves the audience questioning the constant bloodlust that drives viewership & ratings. Surely mass media can't be THAT bad, right?
And Lou Bloom is far from our hero. His manipulative, arrogance, and sociopathic mind will make any audience feeling uncomfortable. He's not someone you want to turn your back on.
4/5. If it bleeds, it leads.
Neo-Tokyo is about to E.X.P.L.O.D.E.
This is the best animated ever made. Katsuhiro Otomo is a true visionary. this movie is a wild futuristic ride from start to finish. The animation is the best I've ever seen. The voice acting is superb and the story is spectacular. It's the perfect anime film. You can tell from the start how much time and effort the animators put into each scene. Plus Kaneda's bike is one tricked out ride.
It was so captivating, fast-paced and jam-packed with action that I never realized how quickly 2 hours flew by. It's a mind-blowing cyberpunk action film that has a number of great things which include the simple but fresh story that is absolutely driven by action sequences and the gorgeous animation that encompasses every single bit of it. It's also a gory experience, so I can't recommend it for kids. For adults, it's a full-blown explosive ride!
Dude the best till date after so many days, It's all connected, it's a butterfly effect indeed. Good old BARRY and Eobard vibes.
Felt like I'm watching a quality TV Show.
Quality Cinematography, Story and Action
It's how you wear the mask that matters.
This is unironically the best thing marvel has ever done, AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN MAKE IT!
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is an absolute triumph that takes everything we loved about the original film and cranks it up to a whole new level. This stunning sequel is a true testament to the power of animation, storytelling, and the enduring legacy of everyone's favorite web-slinger.
This isn’t just any animation this is THE animation.
Truly one of the best films I’ve ever seen. A true masterpiece, a sensory overload in the best possible way.
Boy oh boy, hands down to Hobbe, My man.
We don't have the power of the state. We don't have the authority on our side, the cops, or the media. What we have are angry hearts. Clenched fists. Love and rage... and 15,000 watts of punkrock, - Hobbe Brown
Worlds collide.
Ezra Miller gave a stellar performance!! It was amazing to see Keaton as Batman again! The storyline took from multiple comics enough to feel familiar, but made something completley their own. Equal parts funny, clever, and touching. I laughed, I cried, I felt child-like joy!
The graphics in flash-time were interesting, as they showed relativity's effect on light at high speeds. The temporal realm was beyond awesome! 4D spacetime is not an easy thing to depict for our 3D brains, but they made it both fun and artistic. Just wait until you see what happens! I highly recommend viewing it on IMAX.
Falling in love is easy. Growing up is hard.
Dang! This was sad.
I mean good sad.
Really loved this movie - easy fun, genuine and honest, not over the top uncomfortable or too long, very endearing and just right. Godspeed Cooper Raiff - keep up the good work, can't wait to see where you take us next.
You are not welcome here.
Simply love how it was a completely unique and different take on the alien invasion genre. It had enjoyable characters, solid action, and fascinating tidbits.
So happy to have an alien movie NOT BASED IN AMERICA. This was a great twist and amazing concept of Refugee status. The animation is flawless, way ahead of the times. This felt rough and real. Highly recommend you stop reading and just watch it.
And yeah can't wait for District 10.
Three Years. I promise!!!
Once more with feeling.
Gotg 3 is a spectacular film, James gunn has done it again and i love his work on all 3 films and this one hits big, really enjoyed it and was left with full of different emotions.
A refreshing addition to the MCU, made me laugh, made me cry, and yes I ma going to replay the first 2 volumes.
Go watch it - you'll feel just in, apart from all the Marvel bullshit these days.
This should have been named wasted!!
Emotional Rollercoaster!!!
I recently had the pleasure of watching a this movie that focused on family emotional and unity relationships, and I must say, it was an exceptional cinematic experience. The film truly captured the essence of traditional village life and portrayed the significance of familial bonds and support. The acting was superb, with each actor bringing a depth and authenticity to their respective roles. The cinematography was also impressive, capturing the beauty of the rural setting and the vibrant village culture.
One of the standout themes of the movie was the importance of communication and forgiveness in maintaining strong family relationships. The film showed how misunderstandings and grudges could tear families apart but also highlighted how open and honest communication and forgiveness could mend even the most broken of relationships.
Overall, this movie was a heartfelt and touching portrayal of family emotional and unity relationships. It was a reminder of the value of family support and the power of forgiveness. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a heartwarming and thought-provoking movie experience.
that 'I am vengeance' dailogue at the end made me laugh a lot. :joy:
What is your humanity worth?
Ambani is the villain in this animated sci-fi series
He's the head of an indian telecom empire called 'Alliance'. Makers literally set fire to antilla and cooked him inside his own home.
I literally caught the fact that he is being portrayed as Ambani when I heard 'Alliance'(Reliance?):eyes::innocent:
Jana Gana Mana, A well crafted movie putting in pieces of some of the real life incidents into a good intruiging plot which combines with excellent screenplay and dialogues.
Your identity is their vote! Their Politics!
season 3 is just mind == blown.
