I could do without the Elliot character. And I am not saying that to be homophobic, I am a gay man myself. He is just a horribly unlikable character. I find myself wanting to skip through scenes with him in it. Would it have killed the writers to put in a gay character that is a decent human being?
I tried but really struggled to get through a single episode. Highly not recommended. This stuff died in the 80's.
Oh, fuck off.
It's a mess of a naive masturbatory rock fantasy played out by a whole bunch of shitty actors and Malcolm McDowell.
Normally, I'd have a whole much of stuff to say... but this time, I just can't. The whole tone of the movie, especially after seeing the recent string of miniseries, felt kind of underwhelming. The plot had potential though. The plot wasn't the issue. Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh's chemistry fit pretty well together. I feel like other people didn't care for David Harbour, but I get what they were going for and I think they did reasonably well but definitely could have been better. I can't even blame him. The whole movie felt more like a Bourne film than a Marvel film.
The VFX were pretty bad.. like CW DC show bad. If you have even an amateur level of 3D rendering experience, you'll be able to spot every little thing that is CG. Every car, vehicle, or backdrop that isn't actually there stands out like a sore thumb. Incorrect lighting, overly reflective, just.. amateur AF..
On to the spoilery stuff...
First and foremost... I don't know who did it.. I don't know who approved it.. but this movie has committed an atrocity almost as egregious as Fox screwing up Deadpool in X-men Origins or Sony with Venom in the third Spiderman movie. They completely ruined what I assume was supposed to be Taskmaster. I don't even mind that they made Taskmaster a woman. If that was all they did, it'd have been perfectly fine, but they turned the character into a gimmick that got thrown aside and left to the unknown by the end instead of the badass higher level villain they could/should have been. Sure, they said they were taking her with them but.. that didn't get explained either.
I feel like they fell short on establishing a timeline. The movie starts out in the past, in.. 1995 I believe? and things jump forward and it took me a hot minute to figure out why the hell she was running.. Maybe I missed some text saying that it was post Civil War/pre Endgame. If I did, then that's my own fault but it honestly would have only been because I had such a difficult time focusing on the movie.
The entire movie feels more like an afterthought than an origin story. Loose ends galore. This movie was delay but still somehow felt rushed.
I must be one of the few who gets nothing out of this show. I think it's boring, unfunny, I don't like Loki (either one) and quite frankly I don't like the whole concept of the TVA.
But, hey, it's allright. Not everything is for everyone.
This is a big, huge, massive pile of crap. This looks a parody of a proper movie. The crappy humor, the absurd scenes, a 5 yoers old-written script it just makes me want to shoot myself. Won't comment the movie itself because it's not worth the time.
I wouldn't mind seeing a spin-off with Matias Solomon, his character is so much more interesting than Tom Keen. Maybe it's too early to say, but I think, Tom Keen has went soft.
This is so terrible I don't know where to start.
It's like a very very weak copy of The Middle, a very loud, tomfoolish, without finesse kind of copy.
Managed to watch the pilot and half of the second episode before I binned it.
I hate Jim, ruins the show every single time he shows his face...
This show really has become a parody of itself. What a terrible and boring episode.
compared to previous seasons this was so disappointing and boring.
Police Squad! was comedic genius, this show is just terrible.
Just finished this episode. Took me 2 days to watch...that’s how boring it was. If you decide to watch this episode, watch the first minute & last minute...everything else in the middle is incredible waste of time & adds no value. Think of it this way...it’s an hour of your life you will never get back.
So invested in this series, I feel compelled to see it through, despite the agonising grind, obsession with long sequences of meaningful looks from Elizabeth Moss, and a soundtrack that drowns out the dialogue.
The writer(s) and director(s) of this show have lost it completely, the story line is all over the place and I basically lost interest a few episodes back with the prequel episode as a tipping point.
Will only watch it til the end to find out if Raven finally will get the cred she deserves or not.
The California Highway Patrol did not endorse this movie...neither do fans of comedy movies
This is one of these shows where the producer simply doesn't know how to say goodbye. I mean the show was great but now they are just milking it. Like why mess up such a masterpiece. The story at this point is "blah". Look even Emmy Rossum got tired of this and said "f this. I am out. See you guys in the South Side when I see ya"
I didn't know they spoke such fluent English in Russia. They should've talked Russian! We have subtitles for a reason, yes?
They should’ve killed off Ivar a long time a go. What was the whole point of the Rus storyline? That was completely random.
The episode was shit. All the Disney plus shows are. They were supposed to be better than agents of shield. Bigger budget doesn't assure better content. Dissatisfied.
Mariah on hearing Ridenhour’s death ~~~ the acting was terrible
Over 30 years since its release, this is still the high watermark of the series and, indeed pretty much any adventure film. Ford is the lynchpin of the series, and unlike James Bond, it is difficult to imagine anyone else taking on this role in the future. What makes Indiana Jones works so well as a character and instantly connect with an audience (apart from being Han Solo in disguise) is his world-weariness and that he does indeed seem to be "making it up as he goes along." He makes mistakes and gets himself into trouble more often than not. The sheer pace, the reliance on practical stunts and Ford's performance here sets this film apart from some of the more ridiculous elements that mar the sequels and Karen Allen is a great foil. Every film of course has a great score from Williams, but the theme created for the Ark of the Covenant elevates the music to another level. But it is Ford that embodies Indiana Jones - the looks of relief, panic and determination that cross his face, sometimes all in one shot, is often priceless and he is the key to making this character work so well.
I didn't know they spoke such fluent English in Russia. They should've talked Russian! We have subtitles for a reason, yes?
And once again the freshly baked, first-time captain is the American Hero saving the day and awing the world against the bad, evil Kriegsmarine, which, as we all know, only consisted of sadistic Nazis howling over radio like a delirious drunken man while engaging the enemy. Straight historic facts.
And obviously the captain has a soft spot for the coloured cook Cleveland, who tragically parishes in an attack. Except the fact that the navy didn't allow coloured people on their ships until 1948 while this cheap propaganda piece is set in 1942. Except the Kriegsmarine was known to be the least Nazified service in the German war machine.
Why the directors/writers of cheesy sh*t like this always try to rewrite history, I don't know.
Seriously, watch "Das Boot" or "The Enemy Below". Don't waste your time with this garbage.
I won't remember a bit of this in six months. The acting is overall quite good, but the story-line is... boring? That's not quite fair. It's just uninspiring.
A cute movie but the more forgettable from Disney this year. Definitely shouldn’t win best animated film. It’s mostly just loud and sort of uneven. With Mirabei randomly bonding with family members.
I have seen the movie again since then and it has grown on me more.
Stupid, insulting and a real stinker. The Baby Boss made me wish there was a Planned Parenthood for films.
Technically marvelous but I felt nothing watching this. No thrills, no suspense, nada.
Wait. What!? WTF did I just watch?
