a little bit disappointed they brought back jon snow too soon. but im glad sansa got a real ally to look forward to meeting again.
"My watch has ended...." - Jon Snow
So far, THE BEST EPISODE of the season.
Good job Jon Snow.
Decent episode, loved the Tower of Joy scene along with the final scene, a lot of dialogue that didn't grip my attention with certain chracters though unfortunately, but I know it'll all lead to something great in future episodes! 8.4/10 from me :)
Before this I was praying for Olli to die but I think I finally stopped and assessed the situation unbiased and realised that he's just a fucking impressionable kid who's parents got killed and eaten by wildlings, of course he did what he did. Also I'm a bit uncomfortable with Jon killing kids. He's supposed to be the good guy, the rare unicorn of this show. But I'm really fucking happy that he left the watch, totally saw it coming too. Will be awkward when Sansa arrives there though. Starks keep missing each other. Meanwhile Arya is finally becoming a proper Daredevil, hopefully she'll kick some major ass soon. And man, they are doing the tower of joy thing, we all fucking know what's in there, so just hurry up and confirm it. Poor Shaggydog. Ffs, stop killing Starks and their direwolves.
This episode was 100% better than all of Season 3 put together. It is so great to finally see Beth, Alison and Cosima's lives before Sarah saw Beth at the train station. I always suspected Beth knew so much more about the clones than the girls had realized.
Nice back story to Beth! Oh geez that poor woman was really backed into a corner :(
Okay, those worm implant things are gross as hell. My whole face is itching right now. But how come Sarah didn't feel it earlier? In the previous episode the guy could feel it moving in his cheek and the one in Sarah's jaw looks pretty big.
My poor baby Cosima missing Delphine. I'm so sad for her, she's such a sweet ray of sunshine but she's been through so much. I just want her to be happy...
Helena's having twins! Finally we're getting something nice and positive instead of constant suffering! She was so excited when she found out. And Donny's a real treasure. So kind and supportive and genuinely happy for Helena. I feel a little sorry for Alison, though. This whole situation must be difficult for her, especially since she's the one who wanted to have a family and struggled with her inability to get pregnant.
Felix looking for his biological parents will be an interesting storyline. It's nice that they adressed the fact that S and Sarah are basically related and that Felix might feel left out because of that.
The scenes where the story switched between Sarah and Beth were the highlight of the episode for me. They were very cool visually and I like that we finally got to learn more about Beth, since Sarah witnessing her suicide was what set the events in motion in the first place.
That goodbye scene between Beth and MK just broke my heart :'(
Another great episode, loving the dynamics between both Donnie and Helena and Donnie and Alison. I wonder what Felix' storyline has coming our way.
I laughed (Donnie/Felix), I cried (why Helena, why?), it moved me, Bob (Donnie/Helena). This season is bringing out the emotions in me. After last season, I didn't know if I could look forward to this show every week. Now I wish I could fast forward a week just to see the next episode.
The transition between Donny jerking off and Cosima examining the parasite was, in a weird way, perfect.
I loved everything about this episode!!!! Donnie and Cosima and Donnie and Krystal, oh lord this show makes for some absolutely hilarious moments. I absolutely adore this show, continuous pure genius!
Krystal Goderitch is a gift that keeps on giving. I absolutely love her.
Most horrific moment so far with the baby. Whow... no words. Great episode again. Love this show!
Donnie's face when he saw Krystal was priceless. I hope they tell her soon about the clone story, she's smart and can help them. This show is getting more and more interesting.
I love Krystal, she is smart, badass and yes, hot af.
That baby scared the shit out of me, this is getting creepier.
Pros
+Jon and Sansa along with the "Bastard" letter
+Drogo pyre re-enactment
+I'm excited to see how Jaime and Cersei's plan is going to work out, there's definitely going to be some unexpected twist that happens
Neutral
*Theon and Asha (Yara) reunion, wasn't bad and Theon's actor did great but I was not blown away by it. Still, it should make the Kingsmoot a little more shocking. It's going to need as much help as it can get since Damphair and Victarion probably won't be telling us why Euron needs to be prevented from getting the Throne like they do in the books.
Cons
-Ramsay killing Osha seemed a little out of place. I think it made sense but it was weird that he just has that one small scene and then nothing else. Just a nitpick really.
Danaerys finally had her first good episode in 1 and a half seasons, even though those buff ass dudes would've definitely killed her as soon as they realized how screwed they were, and if not them then the falling rafters probably would've gotten her. Also not convinced that the Dothraki would immediately back her after seeing their leaders burned alive and they obviously didn't give too much of a shit when she walked out of the first fire with her dragons. An argument could be made for them seeing it happen and having literally no leaders left but this is an ultra male-centric society and it's hard to think they'd change their minds after living their entire life in that way especially considering how much they despise magic. Still, it was a cool Odysseus like massacre and the parts before and after were all solid.
Great episode soured by an incredibly weak ending that made zero sense. Why did the coals instantly lit the floor on fire? Why did these battle-hardened warriors cower and shriek in the corner, instead of react? Why is the entire tribe bowing to some naked lady who emerged from the fire? Such a bad scene that highlights how astray this season can go without the books to guide it. Otherwise, the best episode of the season so far.
It was amazing to see some of the Starks reuniting at last. Bummed about Osha, she was cool. Fucking Ramsey continues earning the title of the most hated GoT character ever. Can't wait for him to get killed. Hopefully by Jon.
I found it weird that sparrows decided to punish Margery with a walk of shame too, considering her crimes are so much less significant then Cercei'. She literally just lied to protect her brother. A bit harsh maybe?
Finally Dany kicks some ass. I thought the actress refused to show her boobs though, but I'm not complaining.
Wow, so many things happened in this episode, and all of it was painful. It always amazes me how they can pack so many plots into each episode and still have it make sense and connect. Plus, a HUGE question that had lingered since the pilot was finally answered. Those last few minutes of the show with the Beth flashback were so heartbreaking.
So intense! Episode full of drama and science, which are the main elements of the show. There is more to come, for sure. The way the series is dealing with the Beth arch is fantastic, and they were able to create an emotional engagement between the audience and Beth/Cosima/Kendall in this episode in a way they have never done before. Standing ovation. It was amazing.
This might be my favorite Orphan Black episode so far. My god.
...aand I thought, it's a stupid idea to put in an unknown harddrive into your systems...obvious part there.
But now we know why Beth killed herself. I like that this season went back to this whole Sarah + clones story and away from Castor, although interesting. Poor Cosima though, so much suffering in that one scene for her.
I guess Cho openly declared war now. :)
Storywise it is not the greatest thing, but damn the martial arts scenes are incredibly well done and make up for it! If you like the fighting genre (IP Man) you will definitly enjoy this, otherwise you should probably skip this.
Daniel Wu and the Barons are of interest, the other characters are shallow imo
In a show with so many characters, one of the most emotional deaths was the guy with one word of dialogue. That's why Game of Thrones is so great.
Great episode, things are moving a nice pace. Wish they stop killing off the Direwovles though , that was hard to watch and especially to listen too.
Hold the door. Hold the door. Hold the door.
Oh my. That scene. Hit me right in the feels button a thousand times. That was so heartbreaking. I really couldn't hold that in. We love you Wylis. We always do :'( My Dad walks in during that scene. Awkward moment xD
It was nice to Danny and Jorah reconciling.
Sansa has matured a lot since the previous seasons. She's really learned to take care of herself. Good for her. She's been through a lot already.
We finally get some answers on the white walkers. That was really interesting.
Amazing episode. Really emotional. 10/10
Quite possibly one of the best episodes of the season--scratch that--show.
I like it when they have long, uninterrupted segments in one location. It really works and lets us settle-in on particular storylines, motivations and characters.
...and yes, the ending was incredibly touching!
The Hodor thing fucked me up. Sad he died. Also never expected to see a time paradox on GoT. And another direwolf bites the dust.
