@celozzip No arguing if it's good or bad. it's two big spoilers for the plot

A bit confusing, so far. Who's pulling the strings? And I'm waiting for Sutherland's trademarked "Damnit".

@nicky2910 I'm waiting for "drop the gun NOW!!"
Why does Buffy not get paid by the Watchers Council?

@dbmeis I'm rewatching during my work (I hope my boss don't read this), so if I paid attention, Buffy and Giles don't work for the Watchers Council any more

@mogwaylaven I know it's been 15 years since the series ended, for example, I only went to see the finale in 2011. Marvel's series has a good amount of new-age viewers, who maybe someday want to see the series.
And that's that. This was a great series, but the last two seasons had Cory reallyyyyy out of character, and I didn't like how the writers turned Eric from a loveable goofball into a complete moron. The thing I don't get is, Topanga, Shawn, Cory, and Angela still had 2 years of college left, so why end it here? That said, I wish Morgan had gotten greater focus throughout the series, as she was left forgotten and neglected during the early seasons.
And they should've brought back Mr. Turner! He had a huge involvement in Shawn's life, and they wrote him off like he was nothing. There was no excuse for not having him appear in this or the graduation episodes.

@genesisx I just finished the series and I have the same thought that you wrote, the last 2 season was a little different from the others.

I enjoy this movie quite a bit. Around the time that this movie came out, I watched it quite a few times. I would take my copy (VHS) of it over to a friend's house where there were quite a few friends and we all would chill out and watch it. Some parts we just cracked up laughing at! Some years later I tracked down and bought a DVD copy. Also, as far as I know this was the first time that I had heard of this Brazilian martial art. I had seen it though for the first time in an arcade video game Street Fighter II, when I used to play the character who would do Capoeira fighting (in a fighting game) and his name was Blanka.

@thenightwolf Blanka is a Brazilian character

VIP3A Data episode, really. Exploring the wonder of dreams and visions and what it might mean to reach 'beyond' in the soul. It also has that thing which can happen when you're explanining something to somebody and then realise you need to tell that to yourself - relatable. Plus, I believe we may see here the inspiration behind Farscape's Pa'u Zhoto Zhaan, who would come 6 years later.

@leebotton I had the same ideia when I saw the blue woman! :grinning:
As soon as I saw the high school hallway, my immediate thought was, "What is this, Boy Meets World?" It's literally the same hallway, lockers, stairs, and trash can that Cory Matthews lit up a few years earlier. (Boy Meets World began in September 1993, three and a half years before Smart Guy premiered.)
The opening run of credits also showed me an unexpectedly familiar name: Danny Kallis, who's recognizable because I've been watching The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (and The Suite Life on Deck), which he co-created several years after Smart Guy.
And once we got a better look at the Henderson kitchen, it sure looks like the Matthews' kitchen, just without the island.

@dgw I knew I had seen that hallway in Boy Meets World.
His death was weirdly predictable but I’m not sure why
loading replies
@kieranlittleuk Yeah, it was predictable, I think there are two reasons, first, the time he was on screen and second, the fact that was the last day on work
How did all those people fall all that way and survive after being made back into humans at such height?

@jezzfreeman I had the same question..:joy:
I only started watching this show during quarantine but man did I grow to love these characters. Gonna miss them a lot. And I'm glad they got a nice sendoff with a great final episode.

@jshwlr The same here, stared watching during the quarantine.
Great episode! Took a while to get there, but the show really found itself with Episode 6 and 7.
My theory is that Laurie did it, or is at least complicit in covering for Jacob.
They made a point out of her 6am run far too many times, maybe she was on the way back from her run when she came across Ben and Jacob getting into a fight which she intervened with, fending Ben off with his own knife.
This links with the flashback of Laurie stepping in with the bowling ball, but this time she steps in with the knife.
I think she went to JK Simmons and was able to get the DNA sample after confessing to him that she was complicit in the murder of Ben, and now JK Simmons is using his outside muscle (guy in the Lincoln, guy forcing Patz to write the confession) to cover for the family.
They also made a big point about the Catcher in the Rye about people being one thing on the outside, but thinking something very differently. Laurie is the distillation of this. She has manufactured the persona of perfect wife, great career woman while she hides the secret that she's willing to do violent acts to protect her son and family. She physically manifests this metaphor by literally painting over the vandalism on her garage, covering it. Andy on the other hand was willing to just attempt to wash it away, which only faded it.Can't wait for Friday!

This season finale was similar to the premiere, messy. I was expecting some, if not all, the cicadas’ paths would cross, but they’re still all over the place. Also, did I miss something or did Tara suddenly teleported to Amsterdam to save Edwards?? Because I was so sure she was just in a gun battle in Moscow??
