Definitely could have seen it coming, but... Ouch. Never a good feeling when a kid loses their mother.
Trudy: I don't even know why I'm talking to you two anyway, you can't even lock down a man!
Gabbi: shocked pikachu meme face
Burgess: takes a swig of the bottle of Vodka
The first Brettonio episode!
"I can’t leave my heart at the start of the shift and then just pick it up at the end. Maybe it’ll break me someday, but I just don’t care." THIS is why I adore Brett!
A couple of things about this episode:
It was one thing for Herrmann to be teasing Freddie so casually like that ( especially since they really just met and got to know each other ), but it's another not to apologise after being asked to a couple of times in a row... Not saying Herrmann deserved it, but... ¯_(ツ)_/¯
It's great that we're getting more backstory, but the episodes are lacking for me. I want that rush, that chaos of most if not all the characters remembering their fairy tale lives and panicking because Storybrooke is nothing like their past lives. I want Regina as the Evil Queen with her full powers wrecking havoc and controlling everyone as her mother did she, rather her play the mayor of a hideaway town with a hidden vengeance for one of its residents. It's becoming rather repetitive in that all the episodes are just backstory fillers for the main characters, and then the usual Regina vs Emma situation, just with a different plot. 19 episodes in and I'm hoping these last few ones that lead up to the finale will improve.
AMY ACKER !!!!!
that's it
that's the comment
By far the worst episode of the season thus far... Which is a little expected from episodes in the middle of seasons, but still. Apart from the fairy tale backstory, it's much too predictable and somewhat slow in pace, though I will appreciate the numerous plot twists that at least kept it entertaining enough to get through in one sit.
Confusing! They don't introduce the characters at all in the beginning, and the things that happen seem too fictitious to happen in real life ( though I guess you can reduce that to it being the 'Magic of Christmas' or whatever ). There are some bits of humour, and overall it is cute. Definitely a standout as it is full of queer goodness. Perhaps it was just because I was watching with a very large group of friends and we did talk over each other during, but other than Dominique being part of the film, I probably wouldn't watch it again.
"This guy on the top claimed the mountain on behalf of the gays." ICONIC.
Also that slow-clap in the end was too cute!
I can only imagine how hard working back-to-back nursing shifts can be, but honestly? I kind of blame Jessica for getting herself into that mess.
Irresponsible behaviour, if the road had more traffic when she was on it, there would have been many more casualties. That being said, I'm definitely not dismissing the fact that she was clearly over-worked and exhausted, but she knew what she was doing as soon as she decided to get into the car.
FINALLY the sins are back together!
ok but why episode is this better than the entire season it preceded?
You'd think that, after Sabrina found ways around so many things ( namely her initial dark baptism and the resurrection ), that she'd also do the same with finally signing her name in the book once again - especially when it was such a huge deal in the very beginning... But nope!
On that same note, I do realise this means we will get to see another, darker side to the character, but... The move felt awkward, at least to me.
By far the best episode of this season so far.
"Why must you always insist that the universe grant you special privileges?" THANK YOU, AMBROSE.
I do like that we get some background as to what Trish has been up to, but it's a little redundant. Only the last maybe 10 minutes actually add to the storyline of this season thus far as everything that has happened was already told in the previous episode, just in Jessica's perspective. Nevertheless, great directorial debut from Ritter - it's a niche little episode.
oh, how it hurt to see ryan back as tom... despite knowing his death was an integral part of the plot to move forward, i miss his character.
EXCELLENT episode! I love how creative these Blacklisters are and how the writers portray them through their first moments, all the way to their last. There's something so nuanced in every little detail we're given about them, from their environment to the way they interact with their victims. I'm not even that mad that Liz hasn't been reinstated and isn't on the field just yet - developing her through these therapy sessions is an interesting take and giving us more to her character. This episode confirms just how much I love this show and how amazing it can be when they do it right.
So they're convicting Nano of murder or homicide, based on circumstantial evidence and without the murder weapon... Ok. Pretty sure that's the only way they can let the show continue with a 2nd season.
Awesome episode to lead into the finale.
Omar and Nadia have a horrible and homophobic father, Ander's mum should not have outed Omar in the first place, Samu and Nano's mum is seemingly useless... and while Guzman and Marina's parents are right in taking precautions about Marina's pregnancy, they're still the parents that used a charity to better their status in society... So basically all the adults in this show except for Ander's dad aren't great people... Huh.
In any case, I'm glad it picked up, 'cos I was getting a little bored in the last couple of episodes.
Everyone's getting really annoying, especially Marina imo. At least the dynamics the characters share with others are still interesting - otherwise I'm actually kinda bored.
I just read the description and I already KNOW it's gonna be a knock-off, Walmart version of Kommissar Rex, the original Austrian show this show is basically recreating.
Meh. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad, either. I'm just upset that Oliver once again has to sacrifice so much for others and he will most likely die by the series finale because of it, so there's no chance of a happy ending for him down the line.
Conrad got his chickens haha!
Movie is almost 2 hours long and I'm not sure whether it's just the fact that rom-coms aren't my usual deal, but the pacing of this movie felt so slow - after the hour mark I was left wondering what I would do with myself. It's a cute movie, but the ideals behind it ( the whole, "rich and handsome white man will save you from being on the streets" ) are very much outdated. There are definitely warm, if not funny though fleeting moments, but it just wasn't enough for me in the end to want to watch again, so I'm glad I gave this a go anyway.
Is no one else amazed at how James, Nia and especially Kara all have the innate superpower to both save the world AND write complete and fully searched articles for Catco that are delivered on time? No? Just me?
Eleanor: If we want him to understand he doesn't belong here, we don't need a drawing board... We need to bust him open like a pinata.
Michael: We tried that in the Bad Place. The goo that comes out doesn't taste as good as candy.
Eleanor: No, dude, metaphorically.
LOOOOOL
This was such a cute episode!
