Damn this episode did really have everything. It was really good start to finish and the stakes are high as fuck. INVINCIBLE!
Well, daaaaamn!
Also, extra credit for ‘Morph Smash!’ and the sound of a strike when Jean smacks down Mr Sinister in the bowling alley.
Ayyy that was pretty good. Really hyped to see where the story ends up going. I really liked the characters this season and the emotions were high. I really like Mark and how he is developing. The multiverse stuff really irks me, but it seems like its done so lesgo.
Poor Nathan. I felt so bad for him.
This episode really gets into some complicated issues and nobody seems to have a good answer just like the real world. Can't wait to see how the finale plays out. One of the most thought provoking superhero shows of all time.
lets go dude we are so back
This episode softened even my coldest heart Madelyn prime loved her kid how her and jean connected is the main moment in the Episode. I want wolverine centric episode though he's the GOAT I love Wolverine man! the best X-Men XD
I truly can't believe how good this show is. Every episode is better than the last so far. I mean I'm actually shocked. I wasn't expecting to like it at all.
what the hell. i thought it was just gonna be one of those episodes focused on family drama... WHAT THE HELL
deep down I feel the season has gone a bit too quickly I hope they renew and do a slower pace for me it's the X-Men+Magneto such an important character to their story of fighting for equality which is applicable in any part of this world.I just hope they renew and continue coz the story is good and a lot..
Waking up early, bleary eyed and watching this show reminds me of early-morning cartoon watching when I was a kid. Except with more tears now!
That ending musical montage was brutal. Merciless. It had me ugly crying, wtf!
Episode 3, written by Stephen King. I loved it!
Genuinely surprised with how bad this first episode was. In ALL aspects. I hope the rest of the season will be better.
If you're a Dragon Age fan, you will love this. From the trailers I was worried it was going to be too much in the style of Castlevania or Blood of Zeus, aka adult animation focused more on action and killings than plot. And there is a fair bit of fighting, of course, but it was well balanced and the story was cool as hell. It felt just like the many stand-alone Dragon Age graphic novels do, with all the references to people and places fans of the series have long come to know and love.
And I'm not ashamed to say that the final reveal had me yelling with excitement. DA4 better be connected to the things that came to light with this show!!
Magneto be spitting facts throughout this series!
“Gods abandon those who believe in them”
Goddammit... This show just doesn't stop. Everybody wrong, everybody right. I understand motivation of every single character here.
well uh anyone felt bad that duplicate is dead
Bright Eyes was pretty much place setting for the three part finale but like with all of X-Men ’97 it did so with a punch. While we see pretty much the whole cast throughout this episode this was Rogue’s story more than anyone else. Seeing her process her grief through sheer rage as she rampages to find the people responsible for the Genosha massacre was harrowing. She goes dark in a way that really reminds you she started her place in X-Men as a member of the Brotherhood and there’s a satisfaction to seeing her go ape-shit on everyone from Captain America to General Ross and finally Gyrich.
This episode also sees how everyone is coping with events post Genosha. We see Scott’s simmering tension with the human politics blocking aid to the country, Beast moving further away from Xaviers mission of tolerance and Jean be.ing psychically haunted by the echos thousands of lives but short in the tragedy. All small but viscerally impactful moments throughout the episode.
Given the consistent quality writing I’m so excited to see how this story unfolds in the weeks to come.
Another home run. This show has me in a vice grip and I don't want it to let go. I actually stood up and cheered during the episode's climax (and I'm not a stand-up-and-cheer kind of guy).
Another great episode. A lot of plots can be explored after this one!! It's great to see and remember why you adore the X-Men.
Story telling is amazing. They don't brush over the complexities in relationships and they don't forget to show case the dynamics of the mutants. As individuals and as powerhouses. So many elements at play in such a short episode. Wished these were all released at once for me to binge!
I knew chaos was brewing the moment I realized I wasn't watching alone, THE WATCHER WAS WATCHING TOO!....and this episode delivered
This brought me back to a happy place, episode was just what I needed.
Happy to recognize some voices, and after checking, the original voice actors are back for Storm, Wolverine, Rogue, Beast and Nightcrawler!
Side Bonus: I learned that the actors who voice Beast and Nightcrawler were both in X-Men Last Stand.
That said, I found this too much like the comic series Claremont restarted, and I really didn't enjoy it; that said, I could be over nostalgic for my rating, I am not sure yet, but it did feel good to see.
Omg they are teenagers! I did not expect that
Scott Pilgrim: Across the Torontoverse
If you tune your mind way back in time to the wonderful era of the 80s ... you can enjoy this a lot.
A good episode, but I really had trouble adjusting to the slow pace after the thrilling last two episodes. I didn't like the first few slow episodes and the show switches back to that now it seems.
