This is the first episode where I can tell that the character animations weren't created with the more underplayed English voice acting in mind. The contrast of the dramatic lip flaps with the deadpan delivery is a bit odd, but the animation is dope and I like the direction this is going so far.
Less bullying, more action scenes please, this isn't Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Worst chase scene in any tv show on any streaming service.
magic + tech = big bada boom?
oh ffs communicate people!
moss man back, still dead though.
sword fixed
oh, boom
dammit, stop killing characters!
Evil-Lynn was always my favorite, but now? Hot damn!
will he or won't he?
sailor moon transformation!
all's well that ends well?
oh .... Shit. Well.. Okay.. That just happened..
oh.. Oh no... Oh nooooo holy fucking shit lmao nice cliffhanger I guess
How would Edith’s little speech to Viv pull any weight whatsoever when she knows just exactly how brutal and dishonest Presidio are? Science vs family? Really lady, that’s your approach? Ugh.
And why did the show have to bring in so many tropes in the past few episodes? Here we get the “oh shit someone is out to kill us and they’re basically breaking the door but I WONT MOVE UNTIL I GET ANSWERS!!!” ... really? :expressionless:
Still a good show all in all, I enjoyed the story. The writing in the beginning of the season was more enjoyable somehow. They’re baiting for a second season, but I doubt it will be a good one. Unless they catch themselves somehow and stop it with the tropes. Give the characters some time to breathe, to develop themselves properly.
Yet another episode that made me shout "YES!" The way this show drags emotions out of me is so weird but I'm not questioning it.
Waking up early, bleary eyed and watching this show reminds me of early-morning cartoon watching when I was a kid. Except with more tears now!
Phenomenal episode. I wasn’t sure how or if they could come close to the heights of the season one finale, but they got close. Way closer than I would have expected. Angstrom giving Mark this much angst after he was done with is haunting. This is just something Mark has to learn to live with for the rest of his life. Something interesting I noticed is that every time it seemed like Mark was about to go berserk and lose control on Angstrom, his family was there to distract him and tame him down. Then when they were in another universe away from this, Mark had nothing to hold him back anymore. He needs that human connection that his mom and his friends give to him. I agree with him dropping out of school because of course (especially if he isn’t going to go anyway) but he definitely needs that connection with other people his age. And I hope he’s able to find that, but I’m nervous he’s going to delve deep into his viltrimite half and slowly begin to lose his humanity. I’m rooting for you, Mark.
Calling out discrimination and preaching tolerance? The X-men have gone woke!
-some clueless idiot.
I know Hilda meant well, but she should've read the footnote. There was no reason for her to be in a rush!
I like this episode, it's good, but it has so much potential and could've used a few tweaks to improve it. For one, foreshadowing for the footnote would've been useful. There is no indication that there would be side-effects or that Hilda should've read some footnote. And two, that enchantment is kind of useless. It gives them good luck for thirty days but then steals their souls. What's the point of that enchantment? And what do you do with your friends' souls, anyway? Also, that autotune on David was a bit weird.
But I like what they tried to explore in this episode. Alfur is fantastic and helpful, as always. And they gave Frida a reason to be there, which is nice. It was such a simple story, but it works.
7/10
There's some kind of feeling while watching this show that I just can't put my finger on. It's sort of a mix between melancholy and nostalgia that I have never really seen in anything before and that makes it so unique.
Warning: If you are going to watch this on Disney+, the episodes are NOT in order in the slightest in Season 2. Good luck!
The only question is, who could be powerful and large enough to imprison such a gigantic beast?
Okay first episode from a more than competent Star Wars TV director. Too much Leia and that Leia chase scene was God awful. Choregraphed by a child.
It's better that what I expected (after Picard, ugh what a mess), but still wish they just stopped droning on about 21rst century issues.
Also annoying that you have to follow all their previous garbage to connect the dots on this. Again, hopefully it doesn't get brought up much.
They've got a great set up, but all the time in the world to crap up the landing. Fingers crossed.
RIP Mal's friends:sob: i surprisingly really like them but they can't come to the phone right now, cause they're dead
what did that talking cat do ..
What?? No teaser? No stinger? No giant cliffhanger?
I've never saw a episode so humanized. You can feel the pain from the villain and the heroes. And the long take (car scene) was the best of MCU until now - I didn't remember any long take, just saying.
As Cosmonaut Marcus writes, "It was whatever."
There are some important messages but no revelations, lessons or challenges. Falcon just hears Bradley say, "don't do it", and does it and does fine, because...? So he had self-doubt, hears more doubt from someone else, but does it anyway?
SCORE 5/10
Didn't that planet have an unbreathable athmosphere in Episode 1?
Pretty obvious mistake - especially for a show meant to be binged...
Also: "Make sure you have no metal in your pockets" while wearing clothes with metal zippers...
The movie that propably had the most impact on my life.
I was little over 10 at the time I saw it first. My dad brought it home on VHS. From the first second my eyes were glued to the screen. Immediately after it was over I rewound the tape and watched it again which up to today, close to 35 later, I haven´t done with any other movie. I recorded it on audio tape so I could listen to it, even wrote down the whole thing on paper (that was well before the internet, folks). We re-ennacted the scenes, I had memorized every line. I cannot recall how many times I`ve seen it since then.
I would give it 11 if possible.
This episode just exist to spoiled you about The Sopranos, so with you never watched and want to watch Sopranos, be warned.
For the love if shit, people. Without the first 3 episodes we wouldn't have this episode. Without the first 3 episodes this one wouldn't be as impactful. It's storytelling and all part of a larger whole. Stop saying, "finally we're getting somewhere," or "this is what the show should have been from the start." Its a journey. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Holy shit.
Huh. This show is surprisingly gay.
One of the best episodes of x men. Period. Holy catfish it was good. Also did anyone notice APOCALPYSE in the opening. Holy catfish this episode was good.
I think this is the best episode of all xmen tas. Secondly I love how the music changes completely at the end of the episode. Little things like that make this show fire
Have people not realize yet that this is a low stakes, stand-alone kind of show?
"adds nothing to the MCU". No shit!
Does everything have to be fucking connected? Lighten up, DUDES.
I think I must have missed the announcement that there's gonna be one more season after this. I was under the impression that this was the final season, and the super long episodes made me convinced of that even more. I could have sworn I had read that this was supposed to be the end. I watched this entire season thinking the show was coming to an end, and now I've just watched this 2.5 hour long episode thinking it was a series finale, and honestly, I was left feeling very underwhelmed at it. I was thinking "Why haven't they actually wrapped anything up?" then I come on here and read comments to find that there's actually still one more season to go. I guess I'm kinda happy that they're gonna do another season, since that means they'll actually wrap some of this stuff up. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish this was the last season.
