Beautiful. Really so lovely looking, excited to see where this goes.
This one episode has more creative thinking than any other full series/movies I have watched. Best part is all the creative stuff happen in background . Its somewhat similar to 'Hells Paradise' anime.
Heard about the creativity of the planet and creatures prior to watching this. About how they aren't just semi altered Earth animals like most fictional creatures. Was wondering how that was possible so far into fiction and then I watched and realized, oh that is one hundred percent accurate. Wow.
Song Married life from Up making a rare cameo
:face_with_raised_eyebrow::face_with_raised_eyebrow:After his sister drives away we see the houses… neighbors house has 2 windows on the side… he has 1 in the middle and a attic window, but last episode she had the perspective of up high looking down on 2 windows
It's a slow burn but the dogma is really adding to the suspense. I can't wait to find out what they're processing.
The vibe of the company and building reminds me of the video game 'Control'. Esp with the director vibe of the CEO. So interesting that the show is set in modern times but has a distinct 70s setting, more so on the severed floor.
77 | They need to get out of there as soon as possible. What happened to Petey was completely suspicious. Mark should notice that and takes all of his words as fact. The music throughout the episode was hypnotizing us or brainwashing was the stronger word. Brainwashed just like all the employees of Lumon. What they did to Irving until he became conservative about Lumon was crazy to happen. Lumon not only made them work as employees but also as prisoners in their own life.

So who else spotted the Lumon box/packaging inside miss Cobels fridge when she opened it :smirk:. My second time through.
Is there something I'm not getting about the break room? They present it as a terrible torture but all they do is repeat some sentences
Hands down! the best episode so far. I absolutely love the creepy, melencholy music.
This show is amazing! So well made and the story is just so intriguing, weird and mysterious. So many questions and up until now no answers. But this keeps it interesting.
This show is really good. Definitely different than the other Apple TV+ shows that take a few episodes for me to actually get into them.
Theory:
Helly’s an Eagan.
Mark: "You know, Milchik's a nice man. When he says something, it's best to listen. 'Cause he can't always be nice like that."
I find this scary as heck!
I really like where this is going. Lots to keep me interested. Great cast all around too!
Permission to call this genre "satire/hell" moving forward.
Sitting there thinking how the show gives me Dollhouse vibes then Dichen Lachman turns up. Brilliant.
I'm so excited to see where this is going! Great cast - all these actors fit the vibe of the show so well.
I need to go back and rewatch the original now. This new series looks good and getting off to a nice start.
Wow, color me impressed! After watching the whole original series, experiencing the huge downfall it took, and the rumors that this show was gonna follow along the MCU woke tradition, I was worried for this. Luckly, thus far, this had me completely surprised in the best way possible! They actually ditched the silliness and childhood vibe of the original show and seem to be actually following the vibe of the 90s comics! Even adapting aspects that the original show ditched! And the animation is amazing, down to the perfection of the new intro!
If this keeps up it is gonna be the best Marvel Studios project in years!
Still down with getting that nostalgic rush every time the theme song plays.
that last scene with her could work as amplifier too :slightly_smiling:
The fight scenes with Sankta Neyar and Jesper's scenes with his mother! Really excellent episode. The reveals all across the plot!
“Eliminate hope, you gain clarity”
Did he just… did he just raze an entire village to the ground with one little hand motion
It does become more apparent that they’re rushing the story now though. Baghra just suddenly figuring out stuff no one ever even began to suspect.
And I am a little confused why they’re so tunnel visioning on that the amplifiers / the fire bird need to die, when Alina already “knew” the stag did not have to give its life, AND we’ve seen them use parts of people as amplifiers without killing them, like Baghra’s finger bone. Why are they now just entirely blind to this?
That was some fantastic fight scenes! Felt like metal and blood bending from Avatar.
What a beautiful bit of storytelling with Ohval too.
they really created a FULL new storyline and character and powerful weapon so that they could shoehorn in the crows… and i’m here weeping bc i love them
So this episode released early (and also has lead to the rest of the episodes being brought forward a week) and I genuinely could not be happier with it. It's everything I ever wanted it to be and more and will definitely be something I watch over and over again.
What the hell?!! How can this particular Star Trek series be so well conceptualized and well written??? It's just... UN-NATURAL!!
