If you're wondering about the air dates, then I have the answer. The moderator over at tvdb is a dinosaur and using his paper TVGuide dates. The proper air dates are posted at IMDb and the epix website.
I think, overall, it was an enjoyable series. I agree with others that this feels like it would have been better in short format. I'll also add that Detective Ledroit being queer felt out of place. Almost as if it was added in after the fact.
Wow. Lyra steps through that portal and ages 18 months and none of the characters seem to realize that they have all aged 18 months as well.
I can't believe neither doctor stood to the side of or behind a patient that just had hip surgery. That's not an operational error, it's just common sense. Not to mention if she had hit her head, then the hospital would be facing a huge lawsuit.
I wish they would stop trying to push the romantic subplot with Wilf and Flynn. They clearly have no chemistry and it adds little too the story.
I'm also failing to see why RI cares so much about stolen information in a stub. They can just as easily cause a devastating world war there and call it done.
Why was Karen at JSC? "Plot". Why did Molly Cobb need to be at JSC to tell Ed Baldwin how to fly the MSAM? "Plot". Why was Kelly Baldwin (NASA employee) breaking protocol by having unprotected intercourse and then carrying to term? "Plot".
This was a season full of poor writing and weak plot. I should have shut it off after the first few episodes.
NASA engineers having babies on Mars? Allowing someone with a very obvious mental condition into NASA? I barely made it through the last episode and 5 minutes into this episode and looks like more of the same.
I have to agree that this appears to be on par with what the CW puts out. I was hoping for a thrilling murder/abduction investigation. What I gleaned from the first episode is that this is a half-hearted attempt at bringing to light the presence of human trafficking. Unfortunately, there's just too many glaring holes in the reality of it all.
No remorse for that woman after she had her "children" eat a man that was trying to defend his wife and children. Not to mention all the other terrible things she's done.
Also, there's no "grazing" a child with a rifle round. That only works in comic books.
That Bolkow 208 aircraft is a 2 seater. The max carry weight is less than 600 pounds and there's no cargo area except under your feet. Jepp is easily half that weight and...the seats are narrow as it is.
That was never going to work in any scenario.
Do yourself a favor and stop the show after season 1. Every character in this show becomes either blatantly ignorant, self-righteous, self-serving, or just down right unlikeable.
Kristen is a garbage human being. Seriously tried to put the guilt on her husband? He didn't want to go back to Nepal. She told him to go. She's also the one that has been unfaithful, not once, but twice. This show has really gone off the rails since the middle of season 2.
So Leland commits multiple homicide on priests of the Catholic church and no police investigation? Some of those priests were also likely foreign nationals so goes far above state level. Grace undocumented? Yeah, sure, I guess the Vatican isn't as connected as they'd have you believe.
Furthermore, the Archdiocese of New York is the second-largest diocese in the United States by population, encompassing 296 parishes that serve around 2.8 million Catholics. To have 3 assessors of supernatural occurrences is laughable at best.
Lastly, the characters are now all so unlikeable that I'm left just wishing they'd all die and burn in hell.
This was like a Stephen King adaptation, but a flawed one. Stories like this don't work in modern day. One glaring plot hole is how does nobody in this universe know what a vampire is?
Um, I'll say this, they shot Bev and had an entire wall of candles to knock to the ground and set that place ablaze...Not very intelligent are they.
I gave this series a chance. I watched until episode 7. By now, it should be clear to all viewers that this was likely a thrown out project that may have started as a sequel to Godzilla 2014, but clearly developed into a CW teen drama. The title should be May: Legacy of the Randa love triangle aka next to nothing to do with Godzilla or monsters.
If the acting wasn't bad enough...This episode felt like it was added in after the fact and was done so by an intern. The dialogue felt forced and out of place. This is certainly no longer a series about Godzilla or monsters.
Incredible animation while sticking to the 90s era style. The story is an interesting one and even holds true to some modern day advances.
Virtual Reality Implant? How did her body not decay? Fascinating "what-if" scenarios. Even if the science isn't accurately explained.
Great show if you don't mind animation. The series finale will blow your mind.
Anyone tells you're that they're a Navy Seal is most likely lying. Seals don't go around sharing that information. Also, Mom has car keys and leaves daughter in unlocked vehicle and windows down? SMH. Bend that boy over your knee already. Worst mother of the year.
Did they Sargeant? There has never been a Sargeant in the Navy. Ever. Every branch of the military knows that.
Chinese/Japanese collaboration series with plenty of fighting, mystery, super powers, and a bit of martial arts mixed in. The first season animation isn't the best, but second is much better.
I have to wonder where the hell are these dozen or so police officers we keep seeing? They might as well deputize Duke at this point.
:joy: For someone that wants to help the town/city or Haven, Audrey is doing a poor job of it. Don't get me started on the "Chief" of police. This man has been assaulted and obstructed more times than I care to count. Also, when it comes to the abduction/safety of children, this country doesn't mess about. Nathan would have had that warrant on the spot. Not to mention, it would have been legal for Nathan to wait for backup and search the property while waiting for said warrant.
This show has such a warm cast of characters and a great performance from the female lead, Emily Rose. I believe that, unfortunately, there was network interference to spread this show out as long as possible. The reason being is that there is clearly a narrative here, but it takes a back seat to whichever "Trouble" is the highlight of the episode.
The problem I have with this being a police crime procedural is that the actual police are rarely even in the show. Nathan is anything but a detective/police officer. He claims to know all of the officers by their first name and yet never speaks to them. One other glaring mistake is that Nathan doesn't have a radio. In fact, nobody seems to know what one is in this city, er small town.
In short, if you're interested in a supernatural drama that you can have on in the background, then this is for you. There are also lots of allusions to Stephen King's works throughout. Don't take this one too seriously and you won't be disappointed.
Perhaps I missed something, but I find it quite a stretch that Audrey didn't want to investigate those coordinates. Last season she was so adamant about finding out about her origins.
It should be interesting to see next episode when Audrey finds out she doesn't actually exist either. I'm guessing that she and the missing Howard are from an alternate reality. Basing that on the fact that she has admitted to having memories of Quantico. Which you would think that she would be able to figure out by simply attempting to access an FBI building/database.
This episode reminded me why I dropped the show. People that grew up together couldn't sit down and figure out who was the imposter. Not to mention that 3 of them were "detectives". Still the actors have heart and really give their characters life. For that, I'll continue through the show and hope the writing improves.
This is not for fans of the original series. Raylan Givens' character does NOT fit in this setting at all. This is a cash grab plain and simple. The writers haven't "taken inspiration" from Elmore Leonard's novel. They have literally replaced the main character, a local detective, and replaced him with a US Marshal. Makes absolutely no sense and it's just garbage. Read the novel and skip the show.
