I enjoyed the first 3 episodes and will check this out but this is more a mystery drama than something I'd call horror. They don't set up an atmosphere compared to shows like The Fades or Outcast. When they show stuff the gore is almost childish, it's been 10 years + since the Walking or even Evil Dead spoiled us all. All you get is a few jump scares and I couldn't help but think of that quote "A horror with jump scares is like a stand-up comedian jumping in the crowd to tickle the audience". It's worth giving it a chance, but if you are a horror fan, don't get your hopes up.

@benhanchett Sorry for the late reply, must have missed a notification. Anyway, yeah the Fades is 10 times better. Weird but way better tone. Just be prepared to left hanging since it only got 1 season.
Like if Die Hard was a Christmas movie.

@saint-pauly Die Hard IS a Christmas movie !!!
i thought the episode was really bad directed. Especially their fight scene was really awful. 20 minutes of just stuff going around, what was the deal with him trying to half cover him with the jacket, was he cold. Very poorly executed

@great_vc By taking hold of his jacket he freed up his other hand while maintaining the choke. Same with kicking him in the nuts, by doing that the other guy had to move his hand so he could lock it with his left leg. This was dirty street fighting and excellent in my book.
I came for the Nine Inch Nails songs, I stayed for the fun and fascinating tale.

@lefthandedguitarist I figured the big twist would be that they found Trent Reznor in a coma
Wow. I don't know what it was exactly, but that episode hit me in the feels.
Something about seeing Boba go through the tribe's rite of passage was extremely mesmerising and powerful to me.
While I would like to give this episode a 10/10, the whole present-day stuff still really isn't doing anything for me right now. I'm a lot more invested in his bacta flashbacks with the Tuskens.
I guess that stuff is just kinda uninteresting to me currently in the series. I'm waiting for some serious sh*t to go down.
I'm really liking where this show is going. Looking forward to next week.
Side Note: Tatooine was once a water planet?! No way!!

@isaac_paech Look up "Tusken Raider COMPLETE Breakdown: 30,000 Years of History, Culture, Biology" on Youtube. I think you'll find it interesting
so, i never really got the chance to see Dexter, and i see to many shows to be able to binge it... i wonder if i should start this show?

@pedro I don't know what shows you are watching now but I'm 100% sure the original 7 seasons are better than half of them. Except for the series final ( luckily now only known as season 8 ) this show was amazing. I don't think you can really get into this new show without watching the other seasons.
So it was good of course, but I can’t say it was great and that’s because this is literally a Club de Cuervos rip off! Down to the Lasso play, the “cold hearted” boss lady, the dumb but likeable assistant, the hot girlie that’s part of the club, the same archetypes of football players, the same issues with the ownership, like I don’t understand why they don’t give credit to it?
And I ended up loving all the characters and rooting for them, except from Ted Lasso, like I get his purpose but also I don’t get him, I like him but the show could also thrive without him and that’s not like the best thing to say of the lead character?
Don’t get me wrong I like the series, I like Ted, I love the rest of the cast and I’m gonna watch s2!loading replies
@aars26 By that logic Club de Cuervos should give credit to a Belgian TV show called FC De Kampioenen that ran from 1990 for 21 seasons and 2 movies. It features a club owner only interested in women, a trainer who knows nothing about the game, a keeper that's more interested in beer and a female lead who is dating the star player. It are just comedic stereotypes in a sport played by the entire planet. Ted Lasso is umteen times better than that show.
ROYLEEEEEEEEYYYYY!!! I love them so much. And Ted Lasso you ruined Rebbeca's moment!!!! I still don't care about him, like I feel he doesn't fit his own show.

@aars26 After reading almost the same comment for 7 episodes I really can't help myself replying "Let it go" on this episode.
I check regularly to see if this show is streaming anywhere. I never have any luck.

@drknemesis legal is damn near impossible to find but any Jack Sparrow can find it in minutes.
I consider Doctor Who to be very similar to Star Wars. In the sense that it’s all Star Wars, you can have favourite characters and episodes, but saying things like “I don’t like the prequels they ruined it”, I’m sorry but you’re not a real Star Wars fan. This mentality can be used with Doctor Who. People who don’t skip whole seasons because they don’t like the person playing the character or the show runner is bad is not a real Doctor Who fan. This is what the show is, complaining about it won’t make you enjoy it more. Jodie is an amazing Doctor, Yaz is a great companion. You’re all just complainers.
I love this return to serial style set up. This episode is obviously all setup and there was a lot of characters to keep track of, but I really enjoyed this. I’m excited to see where it goes. I love this. Is it my favourite Doctor? Companion? Show Runner? No. But I understand and accept those things are out of my control. It’s all Doctor Who. And it’s all good.

@johnsonalexander150 I've been watched the doctor since the 80's and I think Jodie is doing an excellent job but the writers failed her. I endured the last few seasons because, let's face it, the quality has been going down since before Peter became the Doc. To me everybody complaining about the gender missed the message of the doctor. Just like the original MacGuyver it was a show about brains over brawn. I sincerely hope she gets the chance with better writing before she leaves. They did the same thing with Torchwood, that yank season was a stinker, but I remain a fan
This is feeling like The Walking Dead. Take an interesting plot and focus so much on drama that it becomes boring. I'm all for character development but I sure hope things start to happen in the show. This is no Falling Skies nor Colony but it sure isn't The Expanse either. Jury is still out

@nescobar-a-lop-lop It started out OK but then it used ALL the tropes : hybrid child, superweapon, good alien allies, the yank solution ( blow one thing up magic overall victory ) Sorry but compared to Babylon 5 it was a kiddie story
