Computer decides that air conditioning is non-essential, even though computers very much dislike running too hot? Ha! Television logic.
"Don't debase yourself for a man who doesn't have a single tureen on board!"
That man is in my pocket like JZ after the elevator!! LMAO!!!!
though it seems season 2 is inevitable, I will miss in terribly in the meantime.
Was that class they showed an actual college class? "We Texans are the best and everybody else sucks"? Yikes!
Just a couple years after this episode aired the real-life Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra was founded. (It started its life under the name of "Minneapolis Philharmonia", though.) So, when this was written and produced, "Minnesota Philharmonic" was a solid fictional ensemble name to which nobody could possibly make less-than-desirable connections in real life.
Not in love with the return of the show's most annoying character and I don't really buy this Robbie and Tory romance dynamic, but key developments in other areas that really took me by surprise and makes up for that. Still my least fave ep of the season so far tho
Hoo boy, full-on Bill Cosby reference. How times have changed… That would never have even made it into the shooting script now, let alone gotten past the cutting room.
I missed Sarah Chalke speaking German!
"Do I need to hold the window closed the whole time?"
"No, Bob, only when I go past 50 mph"
Zips into a highway :joy:
It's a really sweet episode that somehow both expands Teddy and just crystallizes what we knew about him all along. He undervalues himself, but his unabashed interest and fondness for others is a strength, and he means more to them than he might realize. He's not as lonely as he or Bob may think, and it's nice to see the show give him his due.
