I loved this show! So many interesting eccentric characters with cool detailed designs, great music (some songs have been stuck on repeat in my head, like "Loser, Baby" & "Stayed Gone" to give a couple of examples), & a gripping story that has me genuinely invested. My only complaint is probably that there are too few episodes. More episodes, especially "slice-of-life" episodes where we are just spending time getting to know the characters, would have been very welcome. I'm very happy with the episodes we have though & seriously can't wait for season 2!
At first I was wondering how serious the movie was going to take itself but once I heard "sex perverts" then I was on board. It's definitely one of those movies you throw on with friends when you want to have a good laugh. Over the top practical effects were also a nice touch.
My favorite line: I’m 6’5”, 220lbs, and there’s two of me.
this movie basically confirmed my suspicions: mark zuckerberg is a bastard
This movie is all about friendship, loyalty, greed and betrayal.
With its smart writing and solid acting (especially by Jesse Eisenberg) I can say that this movie is one of the greatest movies of the new century.
The rating should at least be in the 90s for sure! Very inspiring movie for me personally. If you have an idea you are trying to get off the ground, watch this movie, then you will start working on it immediately after. Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross do an amazing job with the soundtrack. Interesting note that approximately 83% of trakt has been coded while listening to this soundtrack :)
Goodbye to comments under me. This movie is one of the best, compelling and interesting movies that has ever been made. Maybe it's just because I can relate to it, but this shit man......
Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers is 75 minutes of tits, chainsaws, a rather eccentric chainsaw worshiping cult, loads of awful dialog, and a whole heap of WTFs... 80s ultra cheap filmmaking at its best.
Yeah....They sure don't make them like this anymore.
Hollyweird hooker cult with a lust for the dark arts, combined with a detective who's looking a missing girl and all the weirdness involved. "...besides, she's got a great set of tits."
A fun mystery show, even though it got worse as the seasons progressed. Still, I saw every episode multiple times, and will probably watch them again. The best episodes are consistently the ones that take place in Cabot Cove, and it will always be funny how everybody is shocked when another murder happens there. With that murder rate, it has to be the murder capital of the world.
I actually always expected an episode where they would show that Jessica is a secret killer mastermind behind all these murders. even as a what-if episode. There can't be any other explanation for how a writer is associated with so many killings. But we never got one.
Galaxy Quest is one of the best parodies made in the last 2 decades...if not THE best.
Many laugh-out-loud moments and a cast that knows what they are doing, makes Galaxy Quest really watchable even for people that usually don't enjoy sci-fi. The late Alan Rickman and Tim Allen especially.
And oh yeah...Sigourney Weaver's breasts make a good figure too (pun intended).
The best Star Trek movie of all time; that's how you do it JJ Abrams.
Never give up. Never surrender.
It is a pretty entertaining slasher flick. Larry Drake as the killer makes an marvelous performance and he has some really creative kills.
Also it is pretty much one-liners: the movie which is fun.
This movie is wayyyyyy better than it deserves to be for a movie called "Dr. Giggles." But goddamnit if it ain't a blast! Bring logic into this and the movie can't happen....but ignore the biggest one (or two, or three) and you're gonna have a good time. All the things you want to happen with an evil, sadistic doctor happen in this movie, puns and all.
Really funny movie. The ones rating this as bad is missing the entire point :)
Great movie. Deserves a much higher rating.
I'm half tempted to give this full marks just for daring to play Radiohead's Everything in Its Right Place during your typical military in dropship scene. Anyway my boy Gareth knocked out another cracking piece of scifi. You really don't mind when a director takes a few years off and comes back with something like this. There's certainly a fair amount of Rogue One, Blade Runner and Terminator in the mix, the latter of which he takes the Judgement Day plot and turns it on its head defying expectations where I assumed it was going just due to the tropes of the genre.
There's also a lot of stuff on screen for 80mill in comparison to other recent effects heavy films. Gets you wondering if budgets elsewhere escalate to $200 mill mark due to talent demands or that something like this has less behind the scenes VFX artists but take longer to bake? I dunno. Either way, check it out. The trailer gives too much away (as always my opinion) however there's plenty more that isn't shown.
NB. Watch out for the Scarif Easter egg
Hilarious parody of the teen camp slasher movies of the 80’s. The most disturbing part of the movie was seeing Reggie Banister without his car and shotgun. It’s just didn’t feel right to me.
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘The Little Mermaid’:
Halle Bailey IS Ariel. She was absolute perfection. From voice to vibe, she captured her essence impeccably. I believe a star has officially been born.
Melissa McCarthy had veryyy gargantuan tentacles to fill. And I think Pat Carroll would’ve been incredibly pleased with what she did with her sea witch.
I thought they built upon the original film’s story in all the right ways. Fleshing it out to make a little more sense. Providing more substance. While not everything was picture perfect, it worked and gave fresh magic to a beloved story.
Bonus Thought: I thought it was a fantastic movie to look at, especially under the sea. Gorgeous colors and visuals. Eye candy all around. And that includes Jonah Hauer-King. :pound_symbol:snack
Super Fun and a glimpse into the America Trump and his supporters want.
I think the Purge series is better than people give it credit for, sure the subtext is basically just text but they have a lot of fun with it. This one isn’t the best of the series but mostly enjoyable, I like what they go for but feel it’s a weird cop out to undo the end of The Purge Election Year, but maybe that was covered in the tv show.
I have a feeling this movie (and all Purge movies) will one day be pointed to as having predicted the future of the USA.
One of the best episode !
i love both family guy and south park but between them, i prefer south park
Curious as Kyle said if you censored the episode "You've made a distinction what is okay to poke fun and what isn't. Either is all okay or none of it is"
Now HBO has removed this episode from streaming...
Great one if you don't mind me saying....
I enjoyed the film. I’m not a horror snob. Was a fun watch. You can tell the writers weren’t trying to reinvent the wheel without disrespecting the franchise. The Jackie Earle Hayley (Freddy) gave a valiant effort knowing the immense shoes that needed filled.
I give it a 6/10.
That was deep and a good watch with a sound cast especially Joseph with a fine performance.
