Enjoyable anthology. Worth a watch for Price fans, or fans of these kinds of horror anthologies.
There's a lot of really good things about the visual style, but it's otherwise pretty bad. Watch the blu-ray on mute.
Three stars + one for that ending.
OK man, what the fuck?
Very fun AIP horror comedy in the Corman-Poe tradition.
Fun movie. It's really bad, the acting is some of the worst I've ever seen seen, but it's entertaining. Kind of a hard movie to rate. It could be a 6, 7, or 8 on an entertainment factor. 1 or a 2 on technical proficiency, but who in the hell cares about that?
Kind of an odd mishmash of a film. There's better Italian post-apocalypse movies out there.
A much better movie than it really had any right to be
Not what you'd think of when you think of an Andy Milligan film. There's something good here, but I didn't love it.
Painful to get through. I'd rate it a one, but there's a couple pretty good lines in it.
Huh. What a bizarre film.
Atom-Age Wolf Man. Always have a lot of fun with this one.
Another surprisingly good Django "knockoff".
Has the slick action shots Italian westerns are known for. Some intelligent set-ups. Wasn't expecting much from these "Django rip-offs", but so far I've been pleasantly surprised.
Early Spielberg. I quite enjoyed it. It's not as good as Duel, but that's not a fair comparison.
It's alright. Probably would have been a bit better without Leo.
Jet Jaguar kind of makes and breaks this one.
Second Woody Allen film I've seen after the superb Take The Money And Run. Suffice to say this isn't as good.
Weird and wonderful. But not for everybody.
Good film, but not one of Scorcese's best. De Niro did a fine job and the camera work was reminiscent of a Sam Raimi flick.
Any great director can have a slip up or two. This is that. It's a shame too, cause it really should have been a bit better. Scorsese's 1941.
"This is not reality, not reality!"
"This... is reality"
Way better then the first one. Takes the concepts of the original to their logical extreme. A psychotronic, weird tale of pure cosmic horror. Everything the first one should have been.
I really like the ideas here, but I don't like that it's basically just a slasher film.
"Jesus Christ!"
"Not quite."
Tries to recapture the Evil Dead movies, but with bad cg plugin effects instead of bad practical effects and bad unfunny dialogue instead of bad funny dialogue. You can excuse a movie as being "unserious" if it's enjoyable in some way, but this is just torture (and not in the good way).
This movie would be way, way better if it just wasn't rotoscoped.
It's a major product of its times. I can't not love this one.
It's amazing how strong a legacy this movie has. How many scenes, lines, and images from it have endured and remained recognizable. Long after the MCU is laid to rest people everywhere will still remember Sam Raimi's Spider-Man.
Probably the best Children of the Corn sequel, not that that's saying much. Some fun, albeit pretty cheesy gore, and a few pretty creative camera angles.
