So this episode released early (and also has lead to the rest of the episodes being brought forward a week) and I genuinely could not be happier with it. It's everything I ever wanted it to be and more and will definitely be something I watch over and over again.
Wow what a ride. So much to process. Good laughs and also some tears. Will need to watch it again. Thank you James Gunn for the Guardians of the Galaxy
S2 felt boring and i lost interest.
Legitimately one of the worst films I've ever seen. I love the MCU but lately it's just been outright bad. Here's hoping Feige is smart enough to remove Jeff Loveness from Kang Dynasty, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Maybe James Gunn can sway me with his MCU swan song. We'll see.
This crap makes me wanna rewatch the infinity saga. Ill do just that
Oh god was this lame. Jonathan Majors, Paul Rudd, and Kathryn Newton sell the heck out of their roles but the plot was so weak. Some cringe acting by the side cast too. It felt like the actress who played Gentora learned to act by playing her role in the movie. The Quantum Realm was completely unimaginative. Most of it was like Star Wars, Kang’s minions were stormtroopers, there was even an Avatar realm in there. Zero points for creativity.
Like I said at the end of Thor: Love and Thunder, Marvel is SO done.
The screenplays of these Marvel movies seem more and more tired every time, the same things and plot twists seem to happen every time. Does it still make sense to keep dumping millions of dollars on them?
Oh my god. I was wondering if I'm too old for this kinda shitty-goofy-superhero movies, and I'm impressed by the reviews coming up. Nah man, seriously this movie is like a really really bad Rick and Morty episode written by an insta-teenager.
Sorry, I'm not a internet troll hater, I just regret paying for the ticket and wasting my time watching this lackluster film.
Overall, a pretty bad start to the MCU Phase 5, as the plot (which there was almost none of) was morbidly disinteresting and at times excruciatingly dull. Yes... there was action and the CGI was okay, but no where near as good as I thought it would be. Cassie and Scott's relationship prominently shows how Marvel are running out of original ideas.
Am I the only one who loved this film ?? I want to thank the cinema gods for this film. It was awesome.
Am I the only one who loved this movie?
Sure, it's not perfect. But it shoots for the moon and, in my opinion, mostly succeeds.
Why is trakt showing season 3 in up next? Sort yourself out!
Like a vest in a 3-piece suit, sure it's not trendy right now but that doesn't mean it can't be cool.
David O Russell delivers a film in a classic Hollywood vein, where a mad doctor and a black lawyer in 1930s New York stumble on a plot to overthrow the US government.
Like a cross between The Hudsucker Proxy and Nightmare Alley, the strong cast (there's only one actor I have difficulty with), true-ish story and flawless directing make for a solid theatrical outing.
I really enjoyed the movie, the acting was great, camera work was good, and overall it was good. I do understand people saying it doesn't have any suspension, but I do like it that way, a story telling easy movie to watch. Casting was amazing with a lot of guest stars, which I liked so much.
One of the worst films I’ve ever seen. First third was tolerable but then it descended into oblivion. All I could think about what my teenage son looking for a way to charge his phone. The only saving Grace was the slight but obvious twist near the end, but it wasn’t enough to redeem it from the eating of the vulture, which FTR is not to be done in real life at all costs, as it will make you violently ill. But Bex got down okay anyways. :joy:
This movie was beyond disappointed. I truly regretted watching it.
I saw comments around the internet about marvel becoming a big joke. I did not really understand what person's meant until after watching this movie.
Comedy seemed forced, strained and non-organic. 15 minutes in and I found this though I had to push myself to keep watching. I kept hoping the movie would get better sadly it went from bad, to worst to the worst thing ever.
The movie was rushed. The characters were fake. Zeus died without any real fight? It's a good thing he wasn't really dead. But the point is the movie just was a great let down
Wow, so campy! This was horrible. Thor was turned into a joke for most of the film. Natalie Portman and Christian Bale were fantastic. I was sorely disappointed in Russell Crowe as Zeus.
Even with low expectations, this movie was a disappointment.
This was painful. Waititi is so obsessed with trying to make every line of dialogue comedic, even when it makes no sense, constant slapstick undermines any drama and turns it into a spoof of a Marvel movie. I watched this in a packed cinema and there was very few laughs from the audience. Even watching Christian Bale eat the scenery wasn't worth it.
Maybe Taika needs to sit down with Gunn to get a lesson in how to balance delivering laughs and drama. Ultimately however the box office receipts will be sufficient shield for any criticism.
What a load of shyte!!
2hrs of absolute rubbish..!
I ended up walking out of the theater I just couldn't take torture in myself any longer why did they do this to this movie.
Fortnite: The Movie
The extremely popular mcu is on its way to the shit pits. So many plot holes and why are they going around killing everyone? I hoped that the villain would put an end to the Gods so that Thor would stop killing absolutely everyone. The characters are 2D. The story's unoriginal. The script isn't funny. The superheroes are selfish. The antagonist is sensible because of a sensible curse. Cinematography and props are great as per usual but I don't know how they'll be able to keep such a high budget if they're gonna be making crap like this everytime.
This movie is so bad I had no issue taking bathroom break because I didn't think I was missing anything. My understanding of Marvel universe was that it was about heroes battling evil, this movie does that for about 10 minutes the rest is them trying to crack jokes and Thor seems to be trying to maintain a fragile male ego which I thought he dealt with in the very first movie, hence why he became "worthy" of mjolnir. He honestly comes across like a dumb jock, and you have no trouble understanding why Foster left him. A waste of talent of Bale and Portman and a waste of such an interesting character Gorr. Perhaps they'll do a remake, soon .
This show has run at least one season to long. It has become really boring.
2 episodes in. I don't want to jinx it, but this looks like a proper Star Trek show. It's about time!
I don't know what to expect from season 4. Either it's getting good again or even worse than season 2 and 3
Now I have seen 2 episodes it's clear that this show is what many Trekkies have been looking for : mystery of the week with some food for thought, camaraderie, some humor and (if it's not to much of a bother) some pew pew flying stuff in space.
Mount, Peck and Romijn hit the ground running in their own spin-off but Gooding as Uhura is amazing. Can't wait for an episode focused on the medical team. Of course I can't help but like Ortegas and La'an, although I see some similarities with a certain Naomi Nagata & Camina Drummer, but I'm certainly not complaining about that.
The special effects are amazing and the writers do an excellent job with giving known characters more depth while still respecting what other writers have done. The way they get Pike's command style smack dab in the middle of Archer and T Kirk is very impressive. Strong characters but with flaws. This is a crew I would actually like to be part of, something that hasn't happened since Enterprise ( Team Trip Tucker all the way )
If they can keep this up I say : "6 seasons and a movie"
If you didn't shed tears throughout the entire episode... this didn't serve you well. It's just wonderful.
That line about going to sleep to get away from the nightmares was pretty good.
