While I gave it the benefit of the doubt there's way too many things wrong here. Not only as part of a franchise with a history, but all on its own.
Reasons this show is not a good Star Trek series.

Speaking in English with French accents is a terrible choice. (and ze germanz speak English тоо!). It’s a constant reminder of something fake. It’s an outdated practice, indicates that this has been dumbed down, lazy production. Look at any good recent movie or TV show, they let characters speak in their own language.
And whom is it for? Not for people who know fashion history. Silly dialogue, like Coco saying “what is fashion?l”. Unbelievable scenes with nazis. And looks like lower cost production than other series.
While impossible to follow Band of Brothers, this is done better than The Pacific was. I like all three, but Master of the Air is very well done and much more cohesive than its Pacific cousin. I'm wondering if and when they will do this with the Navy now that we have the other three.
I really went in 50/50 but highly hopeful on this. The acting is well done, the character development is not quite as solid as BoB but pretty good and better than Pacific.
I was thinking I may at some point try to watch all three at same time, organized by date of occurrence, this would give you a massive epic miniseries covering multiple engagements in WWII.
i loved everything about this show ! and i can't wait to see the last 2 episode
Listen up, folks! I gotta confess something here. This show has got me hooked like a fish on a line. And let me tell you, the lead character is the bee's knees of 2023 television.

This show is very quickly becoming my favorite show of the year.
It has everything from a very good writing to impeccable performances by an extremely talented cast, down to the kids, an excellent cinematography, great costumes and decors, not to mention a heart wrenching story of love, loss, sex discrimination and empowerment of a woman who just refuse to let the patriarchy (and remember this happens in the 50s) dictate how she should live her life and fights back in all the ways she can.
It has all the makings of a single season show, but even if it does not get more, in itself it's gonna be a treasure to re watch over the years.
WOW. This is a masterpiece of storytelling. The casting was stellar and the performances were magical. The cinematography captured the grittiness of occupied France and the horrors of the invaders were on full display. If I have any complaints in the storytelling they might be twofold, all Germans were portrayed as the darkest of evil (I don’t believe it was that black and white) and the connection between Werner and Marie was a little too much of a rushed fairytale at the end. But, the whole was a wonderful romantic journey, in the classical sense of the power of lofty ideals rather than in human attraction. I give this limited series a 9 (superb) out of 10. [Historical Drama]
I'm not feelin it. From the opening scene where the girl discovers her superpower via her period to the bulimic shrinking girl the show has all the creativity of a bologna sandwich. Forcing current teen issues into storylines to make it seem relevant and topical. The same as "The Boys" and "Supergirl" went. Television writers who force pablum on viewers like this should have been left on the Picket lines and Studios should have hired more intelligent and less sensitive, less emotional and less fragile writers. It's a wonder they can get any writing done at all since I would imagine they rarely leave their apartments and spend most of the time crying over "mean" people. I think that not every form of entertainment needs to be a lesson to society and should not be a form of social justice. They are just perpetuating the stereotypes of the depressed, anxiety ridden teen and the cruel, cruel world they think they live in.
S2 felt boring and i lost interest.
Why is trakt showing season 3 in up next? Sort yourself out!
This show has run at least one season to long. It has become really boring.
2 episodes in. I don't want to jinx it, but this looks like a proper Star Trek show. It's about time!
Just finished watching a couple of episodes. Firstly the cast is solid and the show has done a great job capturing the magic/realistic nature of the wild west. Plus there are some darker sides of the lawless of the times. I especially enjoyed the monologue coming from the young lead female lead. I hope this show will be part shocking (Brutality), informative, sad, exhilarating and picturesque. I just hope they don't mix too much romance into the storyline!
People keep voting without any episode is out, is kind of ignorant.
That said, I'm really happy about this and can't wait to see it. It's from Sheridan who's the mind behind Yellowstone, one of my favorite shows. The trailer looked good.
First episode was really amazing! Great pace, no silly fillings, all the Star Wars ingredients; from the mood, the races, the peculiar way of filming and transitions. Humor was nice and mild, but never overdone. I can't wait for the rest! <3
Filoni and Favreau have done it folks in my world. Let me have the shows and the kids can have the new movies. Good compromise.
The movie is AMAZING. I love The Temptations, their music, their style. This movie, may not be as accurate as some people would like it to be, but it's an amazing experience, filled with great acting and great music.
TEMPTATIONS FOREVER!
Finally... Part two of 'the golden compass' was never to come so this is something i am really waiting for!
More of the Alfred Pennyworth we all know and love
This TV Show surprised me as it shows Pennyworth of how he starts to deal with the Waynes and he previous life in the SAS before. I highly recommend this so far so good and it has got me hooked straight away hoping for more to come as I was so disappointed when Gotham ended.
Fantastic pilot episode - Paloma Faith brilliant. Looking forward to more.
May not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is very funny (and crude) - typical British humour. 9/10
I really liked this show - plenty of suspense and good story lines. Downside is the amount of subtitles - about 99% of the show is subtitled. I understand that it's a multi-country production, but watching subtitles is really annoying - I don't care if it makes the show more authentic. At least the titles are nice bright yellow instead of blend-in white.
the show should've ended with all of them dying due to the asbestos exposure
i dont know about u guys but asa butterfield AND gillian anderson? ive never been so on-board before
UPDATE: just finished it and MAN you all need to watch this. its a mastery of crushing cliches and good writing!
