after watching the first episode: very underwhelming and whiny
oh no... this is just terrible
i wasnt ready for Sara to leave! i would love to see her in a future Top Chef: All-Stars with more confidence.
challenge: develop and write out recipes fit for home cooks
Chris: "i am being more adventurous with this recipe...this recipe would be definitely challenging."
outcome/elimination: not surprising
finale is exclusive to Rumble - luckily it's free to watch on that platform
almost entirely a recap episode - totally skippable after a few minutes of original footage
this episode felt like a Mad Libs script ripoff of Bob's Burgers The Gayle Tales from 2015
the half hour weekly release format isnt doing this show any favors...
he's definitely the "victim" in this miniseries, but it's an entertaining watch none the less
6 episodes (total runtime 5 hours 31 minutes) of this? half way through this episode they started casting for the community play re-enactment of this murder/investigation; nah, im good thanks. moving on to 'The Beatrice Six: Keith Morrison Investigates' without all the bloat and bullshit.
damn this is a good show!
any which way you cut it, Kathleen's death was unpeaceful and upsetting - and Toni Collette makes sure you remember that with every reenactment
there is never enough Toni Collette - im always impressed with her acting; just wow!
im underwhelmed by this show
i guess Rock M. Sakura was ahead of the curve two seasons ago with her fart jokes
half-baked storytelling - stuff happened, then exposition infodump by the family, ending in a cliffhanger
i dont understand Salvatore Esposito's acting choices for Gaetano Fadda - it's truly terrible
simple premise, single location...one of the better/best episodes of this entire series, imo
feels ALOT like Rick & Morty or something you'd find on Adult Swim...
someone must be a fan of 'Biker Mice from Mars' because they're constantly in background scenes
i usually really enjoy quirky, cheesy and/or satirical content, so i was excited for this premiere, but i ended up hating this episode and having a hard time finishing it.
entire story is told by exposition - acting is terrible too
nice variety of drag aesthetics in the TOP 4 starting this episode - any of them were worthy, but excited for the TOP 3 in the dash for the crown!
with the judges being less agressive and more constructive, i think it has lead to a great lineup for the finale
solid TOP 5
one of the better/best makeover challenges
Icesis Couture confident in her abilites and serving w/ professionalism
they keep throwing in new characters/names and subplots, and i just dont care - it's so convoluted
Lia Marie Johnson has been MIA this entire season, so far. idk if this was always intended (definitely doesnt feel that way) or if it was due to the very public issues in her personal life during the filming (from early 2016 to end of 2017) of this show. this season has really dragged with no forward momentum of the story (who/why). im really hoping it gets somewhere soon, because this season is getting boring quick
voice actor Jay Johnston will no longer voice Jimmy Pesto (total of 43 episodes from 2011 to 2021) - per reports, he has been publicly/formally “banned” from his recurring voice role
he last appeared in the Season 11 episode “The Bridge Over Troubled Rudy,” which aired in May 2021, and has not appeared in an episode since.
another one off filler episode - it's nice to see the cast of main characters get more backstory (via flashback) from Day One, but it's odd to do this 27 episodes into the series, right after a large story arc with alot of momentum, and leading into the season finale episode - it's grinded everything to a halt!
this episode has reached peak cringe level 100
