Why does Hannah’s “ghost” (or whatever she is) have long hair. Wasn’t it short when she died?
ID4 blew the door wide open to the sci-fi action genre. It was the birth of the blockbuster. Is it perfect ? That depends on how you view it. You can find flaws in any movie. The question is how much you let it affect you. Are there logic issues ? Yes. Does it matter ? No, because it is entertaining as hell and the story is much better then dozens of movies that came after this. Despite the fact it is now over 20 years old it has aged well. My opinion has always been that life photography SFX ages better than CGI.
In any case it is way better than the re-quel
You do not believe the story or the characters. Totally flat film that bores from start to finish
finally, I've been waiting for this season for too long! good to have ya back, bojack <3
Not only does Robert have a very nice hat, he also got the moves!
I actually thought this one was great, enjoyed it very much. I disliked everything they did in episode 7 (particularly separating the group, something that happens a lot in TWD and I'm not really fond of, even though it's obviously for production reasons) and wasn't looking forward to new episodes, was only sort of going to watch because I don't have a lot of shows at the moment, but I'm glad I saw it.
Even though I think it's very stupid that he simply left his family, Nick is still an interesting odd character and I see this whole episode as big example of it.
Also, I've noticed some parallels with this season 2 and TWD season 2. The way previous episodes were handled (people who want to save walkers, kept them locked up in a location, also the relationship between them and people who know better) and now this episode, which kind of reminded me of the Daryl-centric one where lots of bad things happen to him in the forest.
Will remain watching with cautious optimism.
This show makes me cry like a baby. It's so beautiful and emotional.. And all the dialogues and performances are amazing! One of the best shows on TV right now!
Well that was unexpected. What begins as a standard home-invasion horror takes an interesting turn that you either go with or dismiss entirely. I fell into the former category largely on the strength of the performances, especially Levi Miller, whose role could easily have not worked at all. There is also a natural feel to the dialogue from the start that is also funny, but equally ensures the dramatic twist that the story takes doesn’t completely feel like it hasn’t been earned in some way. The film also does a great job of gradually escalating the tension and building to each plot development that forces the audience to constantly reevaluate where the film is ultimately going to go. Well worth a look.
After the incident with the Witness, plus Eve's intellect and curiosity (she tracks murders and has come up with the theory of a female assassin being the culprit of these murders, even going as far as being impressed by her) has lead her to a secret investigation of the assassin and who she works for. It's Eve's dreamjob handed to her on a platter.... now what will be the price of this dream job?
Special shoutout to the Villanelle (assassin) wardrobe. Her clothes are great! She pushes for high fashion, expression and playing with aesthetics... but no matter what she looks amazing (whether everyday casual or party ready). Her pink dress with the black combat boots is ICONIC.
In her therapy session we learn to important things: Villanelle has an important history with someone names Anna, somebody that she is clearly emotionally connected to. And that her handler is he r only constant emotional connection. These two pieces feel like important part of the game that will be played against Villanelle.
With each new kill, we see how ruthless and smart Villanelle is. And it's so much fun to watch her. Her cleverness, to see her playful and in awe in the face of the death she deals.
I love Villanelle's excitment and pride in having an investigation set up just to find her... but what I love more is her shock when she learns that the pretty woman from the hospital who she had her speechless and brain malfunctioning and was very much into is the one leading the investigation. This is the kind of twist that throw our leads into chaos, that throw them off their game and that's when things get interesting, when they have to deal with being pushed, and Villanelle having the hots for the lead invetigator will force Villanelle many places, even places she never expected to go emotionally.... and I can't wait to watch it all unfold with the our two wonderful, talented and amazing leads.
Only two episodes in and this show has given us so much. It feels more like 4 episodes, and it's all due to the no filler attitude of the writing and that every shot has a purpose.
This episode is so interesting... it's a bit of a turning point for Eve. Before her chase of Villanelle was about curiosity, a challenge and a chance to prove her smarts. But with Bill getting caught in the crossfire of the chase, the investagation has change into vengence and justice for Eve. Now Villanelle has all of Eve's attention, just not the way she probably wants. On a side note: I liked Bill, gonna miss him.
Interesting interaction between Villanelle and Konstantine, it starts with him reprimanding Villanelle for playing with the targets and killing Bill, who was off limits. Since Villanelle can't follow orders, her next mission will be with a team; The chat quickly turns on Konstantine; while he thought he was the one in power, she just pulled out a card he wasn't expecting. A threat to his daughter. Villanelle shows him just a glimpse of the games she can play. He better not forget who the master chess player is. He threatens her, she will threaten right back and make it count.
I love meeting the new "team" Villanelle. The look of awe when Villanelle sees the other woman, there is definitely history between them and Im sure it's very juicy cause it leads to the other girl attacking her, like there are novels of unwritten history between them. And to add to the tension, their target is a "member of the british intelligence"... And Villanelle has a look on her face "please don't let it be my member of the british intelligence". Shit.;This next mission is going to be so much fun.
And so far my favorite moment of the series is when Eve receives her stolen luggage filled with amazing clothes and a bottle of perfume name "Villanelle", with a quick note of "Sorry Baby"... it's so personal, romantic and slightly unnerving cause it speaks to so much: Villanelle knows where Eve lives, that she has been following her and a note of romantic interest sending her clothes that are gifts you'd give to a lover or significant other. And Eve knows all of this.... and it scares her for it could mean for the future.
And we found our mole... Eve's former boss who she can't stand cause he's a douche. Which is the same target as Villanelle's team. Sounds about right.
This show's writing just keeps on giving. Every meeting, every glance, every hidden word has a payoff. The other assassin is Villanelle's ex. Oh, and Villanelle's real name is Oksana. And Oksana has amazing game cause she just got her ex to kill the 3rd assassin/ex's new lover. All of this while on the hunt for their targer. Like I said, so much freaking game. And two seconds later, Villanelle runs over the poor smitten girl, who should have know better really. This is the stuff i expect from great writing and great dark humour. You don't see it coming, but when It arrives, it wouldn't have worked any other way.
Fav moment: "Are you running or crying?" Both.
Great story, really enjoyed watching this movie. It's quiet, effortless and and just beautiful. The music is great too!
As expected, Eleanor filled in for Michael as the Architect and she nailed it like a motherforker!
My heart is broken for Chidi and Eleanor, though...
...But it's even more broken for the episode, itself, because this was clearly a filler episode and only after coming here I realised (and I was almost shocked) that it was a season finale. This has got to be one of the worst season finales I've ever seen. Ending a season on such a low note and devoid of any hype for the next one (we already had Chidi and Eleanor with their memories wiped out in the past but love conquers all in the end, etc.) because they opted for a filler episode seems terribly awkward. Also, if this was supposed to be the build up for the next season, I feel no excitement about it whatsoever. Is the show finally losing its pizzazz? I guess we'll see it later this year... Fingers crossed that the next season will put the "good" back into The Good Place.
Girlfriend got me to watch this, and I think she cried just as much as she laughed. Both really enjoyed it. Rose Byrne has always been one of my favourites from when she did Two Hands.
So heartwarming and full of emotions. I was planning to laugh and have a good time but instead, I laughed while crying and that was something that hasn't happened for a long time.
Oh damn, it's character actress Margo Martindale!
I didn't love this first part of the final season, I expected much more.
There were too many irrelevant side stories for the final season and too little of Bojack and Diane.
Bojack's therapy was just quickly summarized and Diane's new work and relationship were developed too fast. I also found that guy Guy cliche and boring. Those two journalists at the end didn't help this season either, they were too much over the top.
However, I think I'll like these 8 episodes more when I rewatch them with rest of the season.. I mean, if rest of the season delivers.
It would've been better if they released the full season all at once.
Not as good as the first one, but if you liked the first one, I think you'd like this. If you hated the first one, why the heck are you watching this??? This is a Hallmark movie that ended up up on Netflix since Folger's wouldn't sponsor it and they spent too much money on it. Not a terribly intricate plot and overacted in a number of places, but fun enough. 7/10
I enjoyed this part most of them all. I agree that the main event happens rather late in the movie but still, it was quite enjoyable as kids movie can be for grown up
Liked the time travel idea and clever use of first movie.
That Daisy scene was worth the whole show!
First episode of the current season I genuinely enjoyed, so far this last season has been more "miss" than "hit". Maybe thins will start picking up, now that we're approaching the finish line.
Also, you go, Jason!
I liked it better on a rewatch. Such a stacked cast. Most of the stories are great. Andrew Lincoln's still is super creepy though.
Wow that ending though, almost made me cry. Although the episode itself is kind of filler.
It's a good film. Not the best, but good. Michelle Williams gives her best in the role of the victim's mother and the cinematography is great in my opinion.
Every time I look at the title, I think of Bo Burnham's "We Think We Know You".
I don't like this new Chidi as much, but I think he is a much better match for Elanor.
Huh. I used to say "scribble scrabble" when I was a kid. Never out loud, though.
"Fighting you is the most fun I've ever had." Awwwwwwww. They're proper nemeses now. :')
Why did they place so much importance on Chidi? They literally did not need him for any of this. Any of them (maybe even Jason) could have come up with those ideas. Like they said, Elanor already had the idea of a Medium place. Both plans they came up with are what myself and tons of other fans thought of in season 2 or even season 1. I was hoping the writers would come up with a solution people didn't expect. This was a let-down...

Another Netflix crap. A group of idiots lost in an island with no brain and crappy dialogues. A waste of time
Okay, that reveal was bit abrupt - too abrupt, in my opinion. If that is really all there is to the island, I'm a bit bummed, the interesting part was all the mystery. On the other hand, everyone in that prison was really acting exceedingly weird (especially the warden), so right now I'm still wondering whether that's not a simulation too. I'm afraid it might just be bad writing and acting, though.
Maybe the only reason I rated this 7 instead of 6 is because it's finally over, and I can move onto something else?...
