Very overrated and dull. So much unnecessary garbage tossed into a meh subject like bookface.
Wow is this terrible. Nothing to see here... moving along.
Anybody know if this is available on any format?
I don't really care for Nazi era movies and not a big fan of Jessica Chastain. But I absolutely loved this film.
Solid Liam Neeson effort. The post credits are one of the coolest designs I've seen.
Classic John Candy and John Hughes.
Can't believe I got suckered into this garbage.
Kinda like a high tech Die Hard.
Finally got around to seeing this one albeit 20 years after it's release. Holy crap I'm sorry I missed it. Really, really enjoyed it. Not perfect but a solid monster flick.
Bingo!! Nailed it. Great addition to the franchise.
I was down with this movie until the mid credits scene. That just ruined the entire thing for me. Meh
one of my favorite movies of all time. Sam Rockwell's performance was classic......All I wanted me was a little cornbread.
Apparently by reading the comments here and on the 2011 version, not many know the original movie was actually The Thing from Another World 1951. All being based on the 1938 book Who Goes There?.
A hidden gem. Don't let it being a TV movie fool you. Very well done.
This movie is arguably my favorite movie of all time. And another great King adaptation.
I have yet to not cry my eyes out. Puffy eyes, running nose, trebling lips, so many tears I can't even see the screen.. THIS is what drama movies should be about; invocate real emotions while telling us a unique story, not bore us to death. I don't know how many times I have watched this movie, bit I know I will be watching it so many times more in the future.
Children's movie. Cannot say any more, as I was not a huge fan…
One of my favorite holiday movies. This is a rewatch of a rewatch. I love, love, love this movie!
The entire second half of the movie was completely unnecessary and ruined the film. It was enough that the thieves had to escape because they would die, and it could have been enough to let the audience decide whether they root for the home owner or the thieves without throwing in all the extra twisted stuff.
Hillbilly Oceans 11. It was a fun ride and a great setup for a sequel.
Another overrated dud from Stanley Kubrick, one of the most overrated directors of all time.
Talk about overrated. The jokes were rather pathetic at times and on the whole it just wasn't funny. 'you can't fight in here this is the war room'....pause for comedic effect. And thats as good as the jokes get. Simple word play of the kind found in a Christmas cracker. Genius. What abput those long boring monologues? Incredibly redundant.
It was suprisingly slow and boring as we hear relay message after relay message, with no sense of urgency either. The plot plays out like a panto. The characters were very cartoon-like and it just looked goofy for cheap laughs rather than actual satire. Obviously the subject matter and the fact it's Kubrick makes people cream over it. Sellers has a hard job considering the dialogue but does his best.
I don't want character... I want dogs!
One of the best superhero movies of all time! Zack Snyder brought the comic book experience to the big screen! A+
Such a shame that this was so weak....pathetic attempt at a horror
It's just bad. So annoyingly bad.
This movie is kinda old school in that it is heavily dialogue driven. So I guess that's why a lot of modern audiences don't like this. Surely don't expect a Frankenstein movie. I found it to be mostly interesting, especially the last half of the film. Elle Fanning is tremendous as usual.
Went and saw this today and its a great addition to the Alien franchise
What a great continuation of independence day..was worth waiting for
So intense and once again full of suspense as the master always did. Hitchcock hooked me right until the very end of it and all of that mystery was killing me! Birds never looked so scary and macabre and I guess I'll never look at a seagull the same way!
Hitchcock explored once again a possessive relationship between mother and son that reminded me of Psycho. It's also interesting to see how the characters develop their relatioships with each other and how their bonds grow throughout the film.
I believe some might have different interpretations of the end, other might feel kind of frustated because it's not very conclusive and I really don't know how to explain myself in the right way without spoiling anything. For sure it's full of metaphors and you need to see and interpretate the film behind from what you are seeing.
It's a very frightening and great film! Until now Hitchcock never disappointed me.
