Loved this show. Beautiful cinematography that is on experimental side, and haunting soundtrack to match it. The story is slow, but purposeful, and focuses on human struggle. A very believable portrayal of near future. I think they missed with marketing, trying to catch a greater audience, hence the lower ratings. I hope they don't cancel this show because of it, because it is one of the most unique out there. The First will forever be one of my favourites.

@jordyep I thought Godzilla: King of Monsters was a much entertaining than Godzilla (2014). My two cents. But overall, yes, this summer is truly disappointing for blockbusters. I have missed quite a few already, skipping them in theatres in favour of streaming, which is not a usual thing for me.
coven has been the worst of the bunch for me. im waiting to finish freak show to see if that still stands.

Great second season so far but where are the kids. Who’s taking care off them? That’s one thing I can’t figure out. Why have kids if u don’t want to look after them.

@d0ndada I think this is very typical of the wealthy families of the era. The kids were usually taken care of by the live-in help, and it was considered the proper way. I don't think it's that different nowadays actually. The wealthy are only ready to deal with the fun part of the parenthood, not the messy part.
Was anyone else getting irritated that when the kids (thought they) found Well Lady/Dodge/Lucas on the floor that they just kept standing around and not immediately looking for all the keys to take back from her?
I knew when all the kids tossed Dodge into the black door that it was probably Ellie because when Bode was at Ellie's house they didn't show her.
I didn't know nor expect the end parts with Gabe or Eden, which also begs the question then, where the hell is the real Gabe?
One other big question, did anyone else think that one paramedic kind of looked like Stephen King making a cameo appearance near the end?

@thenightwolf I was also confused about the real Gabe, and if Gabe even existed as a human or if Dodge just created him to infiltrate the group. I can't quite recall him before he inserted himself into the prank on Eden. Hopefully, we'll get some explanation.

Jeez Mia, you are supposed to be an adult and take a high road when confronting a privileged, but very traumatized teen. Instead, you decided to be a bitch. I really have a hard time connecting to Mia's character or feel sympathetic for her.

@ootony I disagree. She is a teen, and most teens of any background feel entitled and treat others in ways that in retrospective is horrible. Was her behavior propped up by privileged? Absolutely. But it also wasn't the only reason she treated people the way she did. There is time and place to call people out, but being sensitive to their trauma requires being a bigger person.

@wintermute2517 I don’t know what all these commentators are going on about, because I’ll take WW over any Marvel movie in a heartbeat. I was 26 when I saw it, and it made ME believe I could become Wonder Woman!
Well here goes. I did not like the movie. Out of all the Marvel movies, this was the weakest. Especially weaker than the two previous Spider-Man franchises. I did not want Marvel to go the DCU route and change the characters, especially Aunt May. The only people they correctly portrayed were Vulture and Peter. Why does Peter do all the Spider-Man stunts in a school which has cameras?? And why is Flash Thompson not a jock? Where's Spider-Man's origin? I want to see Uncle Ben, the wrestling match, hell, even Harry. That said, this is nothing compared to the Amazing Spider-Man series, which features my favorite portrayal of Spider-Man. 4/10

VIP8Not going to lie, I was kind of mad at the ending. After watching the entire series, it felt like there had been no growth and in turn, no happy ending. I was hoping that Annie or Fran would have learned something about themselves and change for the better.

@ad76 I'm sort of enjoying the ending. Life has no happy endings, just a series of ups and downs, and Annie and Fran have a lot of living and growing to do.
Personally, I liked the first movie more. This one is trying to do a lot: not one, but THREE megs, another creature surprise, corporate espionage, swimming at 25,000 feet, secret evil base, dino doggos, uncle with the clicky button going all Jaws 4 with the psychic connection with the shark... (Jiuming made me cringe so much). It's a lot, and not really thought through. Just meh for me.

@maurak I guess it makes sense for Amanda to back Will at this time. She was banking on Will still being under suspicion, so she could potentially get rid of two traitors and keep all the money, if she ends up winning. She also didn't know if she could manipulate Alyssa, or if Alyssa would backstab her, in case she stayed. She had the proof that she could not trust Will, and that made it easier to keep an eye on him and get ahead of his game. I am very disappointed that Will's dangerous move to throw a team member under the bus actually paid off, though. But that's just me theorizing without knowing how it all gets resolved.
