Wheeler Dealers: World Tour: 1x03 BMW E30 - Germany

I might understand why a buyer does not want to appear on camera but why not tell us what the car sold for? That's the second time the selling price is withold and that's one of the things I'm interested in the most.

I like WD and have watched every episode since day one. But why do another spin-off for what is essentially the same show and in any case, has already been done before ?

So, Project Necromancer never really came to fruition because of what transpired here ? The database was destroyed, Hemlock died and Tarkin buried the rest. That could explain some things like, why Snoke looked so deformed. But this is still pre ANH and we know from "The Mandalorian" they were still working on cloning. So it couldn't been all over, couldn't it ?
Anyway, they wrapped it up better than I thought they might. But emotionally it was underwhelming. I never had the feeling that anyone of the good guys might die, they never felt in real danger. It's good they could finish the story because there was really nothing left to go with another season. But the final scene makes me wonder if they have other plans going forward. Wouldn't be too surprised if there would be Star Wars: Omega on the horizon.

Wether or not this is following the games storyline, and I don't care one way or the other, the writing is a jumbled mess. Throwing in more and more to make viewers come back for an explanation only to get more questions. Once in a while you have to give some answers. And nothing really has weight, things happen and I shrug it off. Next scene, please. They should rename the show "Hollow" because that's how it felt. And now we get "The Walking Dead" in space also. That was a massive facepalm.

I really liked the first season but this can only be described as dissapointing. Nothing is standing out, they follow all the generic formulae, all the tropes and cliches.

Note to myself:

Once you've decided to abandon a show for whatever reason, don't come back later the finish it. Trust your first instinct.

More “Uhhs!” and “Ahhs!”, with everything glossed over with SFX and impressive music to make it seem important. But where are the material assets? Give us something that we can eventually understand, instead of adding one mystery after another without any explanation. Many people say how great this all is, but give no explanation as to why.
I almost burst out laughing when the simple fact that the artifact Miranda had taken from the cave opened was portrayed as if she had discovered a god or something.
I really wonder if the writers have any idea where this is going.

Halo: 2x06 Onyx

I'm sure the Covenant will wet their pants when all those 5'11'' "Spartans" will be coming for them.
Seriously, the writing is really bad. There are some rare moments every now and then where I think this is picking up. But it's smoke and mirrors. The whole side plot with Soren and Laera is boring and seems to have no purpose. And what's the deal between Cortana and Parangosky? The Admiral promised her something in return for what she did which is what exactly ? Sending her back to spy more until she "dies" ?
I get the feeling this will be another show that dangels the promise of something huge before your eyes only to fail miserably when it is time to deliver.

Halo: 2x05 Aleria

It's OK. Tries to evoke emotions where there really are none most of the time.
Kwan's still boring and her arc (which seems to be important) feels so hollow right now. Halsey is so full of s*** you want to punch her in the face everytime she opens her mouth. There is zero character growth. Even her sadness and sympathy is faked. That woman isn't cabable of emotion.
It's also totally predictable. The boy not turning out to be Kessler and where Kai went could be seen in advance.
Visually though I think this is great.

After some time has passed I decided to give this another chance for the sake of the first season I liked a lot.
Now, I don't care if this is true to Halo or not. Never played it. I care for a good show/story. Period ! It wasn't awful, in fact in was good enough for me to pick it up again. But I have to agree that there were some really weird moments and those new characters are bad. And where the story leads I really have no idea. For the moment, I'm game.

I didn't find this episode really interesting or engaging. It's basically repeating stuff we already knew and have seen before. It should've been building up more excitement in a way that makes we loath to wait for the next episode. But it didn't, it was just only OK.
And of course there's another monster to be dealt with.

It is a good episode, not as strong as the previous but still good. It continued the more darker approach which I think serves the plot well. But the fate of the villagers doesn't get to me as much as the children's did. And them I didn't know until that episode.
And there is one bone I have to pick with the writing for this one. The Agent hides his radar echo but literally no one sees this ship coming in to an island that has basically unlimited view in each direction. That's the kind of detail that drives me nuts. It was also a bit to convinient how he managed to get the location from the pirate's ship. I, too, think it's Tech. If it were an unknown to this point character it would do nothing in terms of Drama. Because one thing I'm fairly sure about: this show won't close with a happy end.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch: 3x10 Identity Crisis

This episode goes to a place where Star Wars rarely went in the past. We always assumed how evil Palpatine and his Empire was/is but actually seeing it hits harder then you think.
The atmosphere in this episode is really one of hopelessness and helplessness. Yes, it reminded me of the prison in "Andor" and maybe there is your glimmer of hope. Because they got out of that one.

So let me see if I got this right. There was an issue with a cargo bay door before this and despite an airworthiness directive the United plane still was not re-fitted two years later. Than there was another issue where a door opened on the ground years later because of a short.
Makes you wonder why it takes so long to fix things, doesn't it ?

What are the odds for all those circumstances to happen so that the two planes collide in midair ?

I'm somewhat puzzle the Otter owner wasn't penalized for not having that essential system on the pre-flight checklist. If that would've been activated the accident doesn't happen.

The fire was an accident due to circumstances not foreseeable and the usual bureaucracy. But no one on that plane would have died if Larry, Mo and Curly actually knew what they were doing. I'm always baffled how numbskulls like this became pilots.

So, the engine is original Alpina but there's no building sheet for the chassis number. Furthermore it has the wrong exhaust system and brakes.
If you ask me, this is not an genuine Alpina. I still think this is a E30 that's cracked up with Alpina parts maybe from a wreck donor car.

Doesn't matter for the guy who owns it and that's all that matters in the end.

I'd much rather would've seen more about Crosshair's issues then getting a variation of the "Missions for Sid" type episodes from earlier. And of course we need some kind of monster. Totally predictable.

I really liked the scenes between Crosshair and Hunter. That's exactly what I was looking for. I would not have bought it had things just smoothed over. Crosshair has a lot of demons to chase.
But I'm also totally with Wrecker on this one: why has there always have to be a monster.

Ok episode but too predictable for my liking. Also, Omega trying to convince Crosshair all the time to do it her way and ultimately they need to blast their way out anyway makes the rest of the storiy appear rather moot.
I like the atmosphere and the reunion towards the end was nice. Now they have to reconcile and I hope they make it at least a little bit of an effort for them to achieve that.

Masters of the Air: 1x07 Part Seven

What can I say that I haven't already said about this show ? Every new episode grabs me like none do today. I have a lump in my throat everytime the end credits start to roll.
They made the right choice by not showing us extended action scenes at this point. We already covered that, we know what it's like up in the air. I found it very gripping to see what happened on base, with the new arrivals, when the planes come back, and what the pilots think about it at this point in time. It makes me shiver but it althought gives depth and scope.

This was a crucial time during the war. When the Mustang appeard the Luftwaffe's days were numbered. But like it's shown here it also meant a shift in strategy.

I have no doubt the final episodes will be great.
