The Orville: 3x01 Electric Sheep
The Mandalorian: 3x07 Chapter 23: The Spies
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: 1x03 Power Broker

Not a bad show by any means but if I'm honest I liked WandaVision more. I feel like I am missing a lot of background.

The Mandalorian: Season 2

I am 50 years now, watched SW ANH the first time in the early 1980s.

This show did (so far) what I hoped the sequels would do.
Thank you Jon Favreau
Thank you Dave Filoni

Only problem I have with the plot is I don't care one bit for any of the factions. Belt, Mars, Earth - doesn't matter. They all have their own agendas. I want to know about the alien stuff and that is moving very slow.

Friends
Married... with Children

There are two kinds of sitcoms - the ones that you can watch every couple of years and still have good laughs about and then the ones you didn't even laugh at the first time. Now guess what this belongs to.
What I love the most about it is the total lack of so-called political correctness. A show like this would be impossible today because there would be an outcry and commitees beeing formed to get this off the air.

Oh what great were those times.

The Hurt Locker

All those Oscars for what exactly ? OK, the style and filming is good, looks more real with the shaky camera. Acting is OK but I don´t think it warrants a nomination for an Oscar. But the biggest issue - where is the story? This is just a chain of short stories whos only connection seems to be the general location and some of the players. You learn very little about the characters and their motivations. Character developement ? Nope. Therefore I found it impossible to relate to or feel anything for them. In fact I was mentally out of this after an hour.
And the number of errors in this movie is extreme (check IMDB) which could have been excused because a lot of war-movies have them. But with all the flaws in the story the pile becomes just higher.

And something else entirely: I wish we had ratings by demographic. Look at IMDB you see the rating drops with age.

Falling Down

Great movie !

You can watch a movie like this anytime because it doesn`t need CGI and SFX, it tells a stroy. And one that in todays society might be more true than in the 90s.

It doesn`t take much to put one over the hill.

The Mandalorian: 3x02 Chapter 18: The Mines of Mandalore

Visiting Mandalore was cool and I always enjoy seeing Kate as Bo Katan. I also liked to see Grogu getting more to do then just beeing cute.

But, again, there was little content aside from the final minutes. Before that we get to fight monsters multiple times and have to deal with a frightened droid (which I don't think was funny). And I think at this point they are overdoing Amy Sedaris anyway.

The potential of the show is still there but having in mind what the first two season did it's still far behind at this point. Now, the final scene was great and I'm looking forward to see what comes next.

Downfall: The Case Against Boeing

It's not only gross negligence on behalf of Boeing it's downright criminal. People should have gone to jail. Muilenburg should be in prison instead of receiving a 62 m $ farewell present. But as usual corporations just pay fines and are off the hook. And even the 2.5 billion are not hurting them as much as one might think. Yes, their gross profit stumbles in 2020 but their overall from 2018 to September 2021 is still over 20 billion $. And it will continue to climb.
Sadly this doesn't apply only to Boeing. It's like that all over the world. There is no responsiblity from manufactures, it's not about making the best product. Everything revolves around money, shares, stock prices, payments of boni.

It's a cancer that will be our downfall.

The Book of Boba Fett: 1x04 Chapter 4: The Gathering Storm

Again the show delves into the past and is all the more better for it.

And, man, do I hope the music at the final scene means what I hope it does.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: 7x12 Victory and Death

Those last four episodes had movie quality in terms of story telling, directing and presentation. Just an outstanding finale. That last scene was an absolute masterpiece. I wish the movies would have been that much engaging (I know it's a matter of personal taste but that's my opinion).

Triple Frontier

There is nothing original or remarkable in this movie. It's an honest action movie that doesn't try to be anything else. The cast is clearly what pulls you into this movie. A little bit less running time would have helped the pace as it drags a little bit after they went down with the helicopter. The ending was a bit dissapointing . Soundtrack is really good, though. Overall a good "7", something you can watch once.

The Space Between Us

The idea of a child beeing born on Mars sounded intriguing. So the movie starts interesting but quickly turns into a generic love story with a predictable plot and a forseeable ending. That needn´t be a bad thing but what didn´t make this work for me is the whole setup. The story supposedly takes place in 2034 and it doesn´t show. People are driving decade old cars for instance. And it seems to be pretty easy to just steal cars everywhere and drive around in them from state to state without beeing spotted althought they seem to have pretty good sattelite surveillance. I know that´s not the point of the story but you could have told it pretty much in any time period one way or the other. If the SciFi part doesn´t add anything to it beside the distance why use it at all? That all aside technically this is a nice movie. But, as I said, for me that is like getting an empty present.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch: 2x05 Entombed

How can you so completely f u this show ? Season 1 ended on such a high note and this is all rubbish.

The Batch are nothing but extras standing in the background. Was expecting Indy to come around the next corner swinging his whip. Look, The Heart of the Mountain ! Ooohh. Aaahhh. Seriously ?!

Star Wars: Andor: 1x03 Reckoning

OK, I buy in. There are some points in the writing that aren't top notch like jealous boyfriend or stupid soldiers. That's thin. But I want to see early stages of the Rebellion. And hopefully want to see Andor become a more likeable and deeper character.
So I'm more intrested about the possibilities the story could go right now.

Holy......what an episode. I had not expected such fireworks. The title is a spoiler in itself but we knew it would happen at some point anyway. If Fett would habe been half as good in the movies I'd cared about Mandalorians much earlier.
So, will a Jedi answer and if so who will ot be? Someone new or someone we know? Man, I hope this show will go on for many, many years.

Dragged Across Concrete

2h and 40 mins is waayyy too long for this kind of movie. It's like watching gras grow - you know it does but you can't see it. Every scene is streched out to the max. You could have cut an hour out of the movie and not miss anything of the plot. I am not opposed to long running movies but they should have content.
I read everywhere this has a great ending but I can' t tell. I was so bored after an hour that I couldn't bring myself to sit in front of the TV for another one and a half.
Dragged Across Concrete - That is exactly how I felt

This is actually a good movie. It´s not a hollow, CGI´d to death blockbuster with tons of explosions and little content. Although the story is not something new it is worth considering.

Masters of the Air: 1x03 Part Three

On one episode of "Band of Brothers" I once wrote that no show or documentary can ever relate what it means to be in battle. But this episode was tense, it was frantic and you can get an idea what these men went through. And you really have to be amazed that they did it again and again.
The airbattle scenes in this show are through the roof. It's not all about the action, though. We are reaching a point now where losses are becoming more meaningful for the viewer.

Ahsoka: 1x02 Part Two: Toil and Trouble

I admit, it's more the anticipation of what this will become (in Dave we trust) as the sheer joy about what it is now. All the pieces are there and they are slowly moving into place.
Once again we learn that an Empire does not dissapear over night, that it's remnants are still working to bring it back. Which makes total sense. I know there will be discussions about and question like "how can this be, why haven't we seen that or heard that before" These shows can delve into details no movie has time to explore. It's more like reading a book where you have to go through a lot of build-up until you reach the conclusion and I like that. Sure, there is a lot of formulaic stuff (add in another lightsaber fight) but the characters all get there time.
I'm really beginning to like Baylan who shows signs of being more then just Morgans evil henchman. His regrets about the necessity to kil Ahsoka had me raise an eyebrow. I like it when those kind of characters get more depth.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: 1x08 Alloyed

I don't know if this show is in the spirit of Tolkien and quite frankly I don't care. It's a darn good show and that's all I care about.

We have reached the end of the season. And even knowing only the Jackson movies I can already see a path leading towards them. But it has barely started yet and there is so much more to come. Having to wait for a year for the continuation, I sure will watch this season at least once more.

Halo: 2x01 Sanctuary

I have no idea what I WAS expecting to happen in this seasons premiere but THIS wasn't it.

I feel like I've missed an entire season worth of storyline. The one thing I did understand is that Madrigal is gone. Glassed. So much for all that resistance talk in season one. I guess it was all for nil. And what about the portal that's supposed to be there ? But if there is one person that survived it had to be Kwan.

New characters so far are awful. That new "boss" is a walking cliché. I would like to say I'm excitied to have the show back but after just this episode I'm more worried than excited.
