Do we look at the world with the eyes of Vaysha, the blind?
“Moonlight” is the kind of movie that doesn’t need great events, twists, a breathtaking climax, to support the narrative. It’s delicate and sensitive in the right measure, discussing important topics (bullying, homophobia) and leaving its mark.
I feel sorry for Bonnie ‘cause she really liked Adam. But it was about time. No wonder she felt connected with a man who was sober. The relationship with Adam was something toxic and disrespectful on his part: he knew he had a girlfriend who’s an alcoholic, who was once addicted to drugs and who struggle to stay sober, but still... He drank by her side, he slept next to her when he was drunk... Not everyone would be able to handle it.
Not to mention he was kind of pathetic with her. The motive was clear, but he had to play that argument (if we can call it that) that she was tired of dating a wheelchair man. SERIOUSLY, MAN, YO!
To offset this dramatic side, we had that Christy part which was awesome!
Pablo Escobar was a character who certainly took a lot of Wagner Moura, and he was amazing. He deserves recognition and I'm hoping he'll be nominated for an Emmy next year, to say the least.
So much love for Friends.
It has more scenes of drama than horror, so if you’re looking for that in this film, you won’t find it.
But I liked it. Julianne Moore is spectacular and Chloë Grace Moretz is great as the “poor Carrie,” although I think that she could’ve been a little better as the “vengeful Carrie”.
It’s a good movie. :)
Just watched for the second time. I have no words to describe how amazing this movie is. I'm already deciding what day I'll be watching for the third time! =]
There's no doubt that this is the best movie I've watched this year. I'm in love and I already want to watch it again.
