Marvel's Iron Fist 2017

Opposite of The CW's superhero shows, Netflix and Marvels produce amazing series based on comic books and provide us wonderful excitement. The show is super entertaining. These critics don't know what they are talking about. This show is made for the fans and only the real ones appreciate this more than anybody else. They need to loosen up and read comic books more, maybe we wouldn't have so much hate in the world.

Second season was actually good and the finale left me wanting a season 3. I don't understand why netflix cancelled the show after this season, maybe a weaker season 1 is the reason not enough people gave this one a chance. It definitely had the potential to have a great season 3 and they could have it been the last one.

All Marvel's Netflix series has the problem of going too far into the character's psyche and self-doubt and this is especially true for Iron Fist where the hero seem to question every single punch and move he does - something that made it a hard watch for fans who wanted a full-blown, fast-paced fantasy martial arts adventure with a dragon, which this ain't. It is more about a troubled man who complains - a lot. It had some great female characters in it though who was hell-of-a-lot better than the leading man. It got better as it went along, but it was hard to shake the terrible start from memory.

The second season is an improvement from the first. Watched the finale without knowing it's the finale and I was shocked to find myself wishing there were 13 episodes like all the other Marvel shows. Funny it gets cancelled just when I started to enjoy it. Meh. Can't say I'm too mad, though. But good season. I liked it a lot.

Very disappointed with this show after all the hype and definitely the worst of the Marvel's tv shows. After watching Daredevil, Cage & J.Jones, this falls flat on it's bottom. Danny Rand's character was painful to watch, actually 90% of the casting was off. The action/fight scenes were not thrilling at all.
Struggled to finish entire season, don't think l will be bothering with season 2.

Not as actively terrible as many people are saying, but no where near the quality of the the other marvel netflix shows. It is mostly just boring.

loading replies

This is a show I wanted to root for because it seems like a lot of people don't like it simply because Iron Fist is white. (He's white in the comics too, wtf?) Even if a large amount of "Woke" people are really just racists in disguise, it still doesn't change the fact that this show is also boring though. Compared to the other Marvel Netflix shows it definitely has a less likable lead, and a story that just drags. Iron Fist as a character gets more likable over time, but it takes all of Season 1 and the Defenders to get to that point, and by then you've already lost a lot of your audience.

Even if you haven't watched the other Marvel shows, nothing would pull you to this rather than say, Daredevil, but if you did watch it first it could very well turn you away from watching the others.

Danny Rand, o personagem mais chato, sem graça, imbecil, que tira qualquer um do sério, que já vi até o momento.

loading replies

Wow, they couldn't even make this show good enough to last until he got his superhero outfit. I guess he truly wasn't worthy of the fist.

loading replies

Another great show from netflix and marvel! the critics have rated it low because it stuck with the comics.
I feel like these days people have forgotten the meaning of whitewashing. You can't whitewash a white character; that's ridiculous.
The show is extremely diverse and very well made. It has strong female and strong non white characters. I don't understand the fuss.
If you go to Rotten Tomatoes, you will see 19% by critics and 88% by audience; that definitely says something. Ignore the critics, and watch this great show.

loading replies

The professional critics seem to be delusional, or more realistically, more concerned with political messaging rather than actually examining the show with honesty.

Iron fist, while not as good as Daredevil or Jessica Jones, is certainly far, FAR, from being as bad as 17% RT gave it. The execution is slugish at times, as is some of the writing, but the show is still quite enjoyable and a fun binging experience.

loading replies

I am fan of the show, they got the spirit of the story and it is hard to pull of the Iron Fist right but Netflix is doing a great job with Marvel, Daredevil was a hit and I really liked Luke Cage, Jessica Jones was a bit on the darker side but still good.

The Iron Fist is a bit on the complicated side because they are still defining who the Iron Fist is, and season 2 will be a bit more established and they can really jump into it.

And not to forget they already set it up for The Defenders so all leading characters from the four Netflix/Marvel Shows will be in one which I hope will be an action packed epic show, with a worthy adversary to boot.

I hope Netflix keeps up with the great original work they are doing and we want more from Marvel.

I just finished the whole series and apart from ep 9 and 10 it was amazing! I really liked the story and the fighting, probably one of my fav marvel stories so far. I'm not into the comics so i have got no clue if they stayed true to the story or not. But for a tv show it was awesome

It wasn't as bad as Luke Cage, but Iron First certainly isn't a good show without flaws either ... heh, actually my average episode rating is 5.615.

My biggest problem: Danny certainly isn't the smartest cookie in the world.
But he actually had pretty much nothing else to offer either, besides his problem with using his head just once.
Fighting? - Even here his character was annoying as ****. And Colleen was a much bigger joy to watch.
The craziest part though is that Ward, of all options, was by far the most interesting character, with the most interesting development and, compared to others, his decisions made actually sense from his perspective. Sometimes.

Watchable. But not inspiring. Boring fight scene, that too slow and feels cheap. Many unnecessary shots/action without deep purpose. Its very potential, but it needs better director & writer.

loading replies

I'm not angry that this show was a disaster, I'm just disappointed. No surprise though seeing as "Iron Fist" is not really a compelling(?) character for Marvel. If you want a good(?) better (?) show, go watch arrow. It follows pretty much the exact same plot.

I'll just leave this here.

The fight scenes are just horrific.

3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist’:

  1. This show gets a pretty bad rap, but it’s definitely worth a watch. The fight scenes are fun. The Fist is pretty cool. And the secondary characters are fairly solid, particularly Colleen. Season two greatly improves upon the widely-criticized first season. I was much more invested and, actually, it would’ve been nice to see a third go-around with these characters. Ignore the naysayers.

  2. I’m 100% a fan of Finn Jones. I just don’t think he was a great choice for this particular role. It’s the show’s biggest flaw. He’s incredibly likable and easy to root for, but there’s an intensity lacking from a character who has so much power to wield. I believe a different actor could have brought this series closer to the heights of ‘Daredevil’.

  3. Bringing Misty Knight and Mary Walker into the fold and giving Colleen the Iron Fist in the show’s final season were some of its best decisions.

I think Iron Fist is blocking its own path to become something better. Everytime I thought it was gaining ground they throw in stupid dialogue or dumb character decisions. Hell, part of the show even felt more like Dallas or Dynasty than a super hero show. And they really need to work on the way the action is presented. This all looked soft, you could easily recognize the rehearsed moves.

Netflix needs to step up big time for me to continue watching those Marvel shows for another season. With the exception of Daredevil none of the likes of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, or this have left a mark. And I'm beginning to wonder, of all the characters Marvel has at his disposal, those were the best to center the shows around ?

The show has problems but no that big, I don't understand the critics is a very well done show. Some times it feels rush or cheesy, but over all is very entertaining and well acted, I like it a lot.

All i can say about it that it was enjoyable but have some cheesy scenes and i think it's the most related marvels netflix show to Daredevil also i think Iron Fist make The Hand story clear to me because in Daredevil i didn't know who they really are.

please don't waste your time with this. its the worst ever that I've seen from marvel. the lead actor was not Even that great. I think "ward meachum" character development was what really kept the season going.

IT'S. WORTH. IT.

Don't listen to the critics. Just give this a try and watch it. I watched this in two days, and I must say, the story is compelling and you'll find lots of interesting characters.

If your a fan of the other Defenders series, than your going to love this show. Its absolutely fantastic. I'm not quite sure what the critics problem is with this show. When I say critics I don't mean the viewers. I'm fine with viewers not finding it to be there particular cup of tea. However, as I stated before, If your one who enjoyed the other marvel netflix shows than definently watch, you won't be disapointed. I was very warry about watching due to all the negative criticism it was recieving from critics prior to its release. After the first episode I was baffaled, and thought it stood up to the quality of the three series. I love them all. My personal ranking is Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron fist, and Daredevil. That it is not to say I think any of them are bad. So in short, you if like the others, you should like this one, and critics are fucking ass holes.

The fist season's writing was ok and saved by the amazing fight scene choreography but it wasn't enough to give it a high score. Had high expectations for the second season since it took place after the defenders, the 2nd season was getting new writers and he had a cameo in one of the other marvel shows where the writing was great. Although the fight scenes were just as good as the 1st season and the writing was a little better the ending of the season was stupid and is why the score is the way it is. If the MCU is planning on keeping Finn as the Iron fist hopefully they get way better writers because I'd like to see what he can do with good writing like we saw Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man No Way Home.

loading replies

The first season was good, the second season was bad.

loading replies

Not nearly as good as the other Marvel shows. They clearly didn't have enough story for a full season in either season, because about halfway through the show starts to drag and the drama becomes even more artificial and it's just boring. The dialogue sucks big balls, and the acting isn't great. Finn Jones in the lead is ok, he's not bad, but compared to Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter, he's a much less charismatic and convincing lead. The actress who plays Colleen is pretty bad. The guy who plays Davos is forgettable. Also why is the Iron Fist white, and where is his mask?

Season 1: 5/10. Considering bumping to a 6 because it's fresher than season 2
Season 2: 4/10

5/10 overall

loading replies

Season 2 was amazing. Season 1 was an endless string of useless battles and braindead voilence and pointless fist fights. Season 2 should have been the first and this series would have been absolutely amazing. I gave the first season a 4 out of 10 evaluation and that was being kind. Season 2 is easily 7 out of 10 and perhaps better. It's a shame this is going to be the end of it, considering I did manage to work my way through season 1 and I got only one good season as a reward.

loading replies

I found the first half of first season exceptionally slow (which I find is true of most of the Netflix Marvel shows), the second half of the season improves, however, I feel that second season in the post-Defenders first season the show really comes into its own. I am actually looking forward to seeing where things go in Season 3 and any further cross-overs that occur with Danny, Colleen, and Ward. One thing I will give Netflix Marvel writers, there is actual and real character development and growth, I just wish they would write things with a little more pace.

loading replies

The good in the show doesn't make up for the bad. I was surprised to hear it got renewed for a second season at Comic Con, then wasn't so surprised after reading the showrunner is going to be different. Maybe they will work on what made this show a huge failure. I can already see Iron Fist/Danny Rand bringing down the quality of The Defenders.

loading replies

Solid show, I have no major complaints, the characters are well done and the fight scenes are ok, The critics have grossly underrated this, though it is by no means a classic, it is a satisfying show to binge.

loading replies

Probably the cheesiest of the Big 4 Marvel TV shows (sorry, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., gave up on you:).
The story is very simple which I didn't actually mind, acting I found good about 50 % of the time, action about the same (it has nothing on Daredevil), though it certainly has its moments (like escaping from the Hand's compound - that was pretty cool). No complaints about the atmosphere, it's actually one of the best things about it.
The aforementioned cheesiness you can either get on board with or suffer through, so good luck with that :).
Overall very enjoyable to me and more fun than Luke Cage.

it's miserable. Not at all close to what the Iron Fist is supposed to be. Fight choreography is bad. Even arrow has better fight scenes.

IronFist was good, not great. I watched the whole series, not the best writing or story line. Unlike Daredevil or Jessica Jones where the characters and story line had a lot of depth, and a great cast of actors like Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, David Tennant as the Purple Man etc.. The first few episodes were sluggish and at times boring, wasted a lot of time living in the park and mental hospital and not enough time or flashbacks on the past 15yrs training and competing to become the Iron Fist. I thought the fight scenes were the worst, DareDevil had way awesome and exciting fights scenes then what was shown in the Iron Fist series. One of the few great action scenes which showed the true superhuman power of the Iron Fist was the last fight where he leveled the entire fire of the Rand building.
Better writers and directors could have improved the series. The lead characters were fine, just a lousy script

I can't stop thinking that this is Marvel version of Arrow. Anyway, I think when you watch Marvel movies or series, you know what you get, and for me, they're getting tedious. The same camera shots, the same color palette, and the same lights. The stories are becoming very shallow one after another, and you can't say anything except than "entertaining". No twists, no surprises, it just follows the same story line that you expect.
It's a mediocre show.

loading replies

It's a solid 6+ all day long. Is it an amazing 10? no. However it is watchable, the story is good, the support actors are fantastic at times. It has strong female roles. It is above average TV show, and nowhere near below average.

It's kinda depressing that it got so much hate just cause the guy is white. It would be like down voting a manga because the people are asian in the film and asian in the manga. Makes no sense to me. Him being rich is nothing more than a plot device, gives him ability to take a day off work unlike us regular folk etc.

A few year ago I would have given this show an 8 or maybe even a 9, however if I give legion a 9/10 so far, then this is a 6/7. Watch it, enjoy it.. It is what it is.

loading replies

Don't get the hate. It doesn't have the darkness or polish of the Daredevil, but it's still fun to watch. After reading the critics, I was fully expecting a complete failure, but this show is pretty good.

Great show and quite enjoyable! Not as good as the others but still fun. The shows storyline starts at 5 episodes in as the first 5 are set up for the rest of the season. I like how they included waster eggs at the others shows and villains from the other shows which might be hinting at who is the villain in the upcoming 'The Defenders' that is going to be released later this year.

Still as it's not as great, it's still enjoyable and definitively a fun watch

I waited until I finished the whole series before I made an overall judgment. I could care less about the political motivations most have online about this and saw the characters for what they are... people playing a character.

It wasn't that good honestly. I feel they were trying too hard with the drama and Claire was way overused... It wasn't terrible but it wasn't as good as it could have been. I feel if they went a bit campier this could have been way better. Can't win them all I guess.
