The most fascinating documentary I've ever watched. Gay black men, drag queens and trans women are the backbone of our current pop culture, and this film shows the backstage of it all. Unfortunately they still don't get credited, their culture is stolen by white folk and praised by other white people. But the lgbt+ community knows, and we celebrate them.

There are definitely some issues with this documentary. I take outing and closet-blaming very seriously and while I think politicians should indeed be reprimanded and called out for passing and supporting anti-lgbt legislation, no one knows what they're going through whilst in the closet, no one knows how badly they might be suffering, and they shouldn't be attacked for not being out. Yes, they should be attacked for their anti-lgbt policies, but not for being closeted specifically. I also thought the obsession with Crist got a bit too much by the end. And bisexuality IS a thing, and gay people love to pretend it isn't.
That said, this was a very interesting watch as I didn't know how many closeted gay men were in american politics and specifically in the republican party.

Such a powerful film and such a fresh take on activism. You can feel the anger in the performances and often it has a documentary feel to it. Absolutely loved it.

This was a bit boring but the start and the ending totally made up for it. Oh and all the close-ups of sweaty legs and shoulders that made my heart race just a lil'

Woweee Tab Hunter was GORGEOUS. I'd never heard of him but i wish he had been a star in the present he'd STILL be every girl's dream man but he could be out and proud at the same time and no one would care.

Amazing performance by Taron, i’m so in love with him. It’s hard to not draw comparisons with Bohemian Rhapsody, which i also liked, but I’m happy to see that this film wasn’t as afraid to take risks as the former was. It showed the good and the ugly, and it didn’t shy away from more disturbing scenes, which i applaud. The musical format also fits perfectly. Loved it!

this season wasn't very good...
only have season 9 left to catch up on and then season 10 with the main man back in town ayeeeeeeeeee
this is soo cheesy and predictable but it has an interesting enough way to deliver a message about life, death and grief. and zac efron’s an angel

As much as the fights were getting a bit repetitive by the end, this is still one of the most well-done super hero movies i've ever seen. It grips you from start to finish and it's hard to watch at some parts, but it truly elevates the genre in a way that hasn't been done since the Dark Knight Trilogy. It shows what real life would actually look like if there were enhanced people in it, without unnecessary comedy to lighten up the mood, without flashy fireworks (not that there's anything wrong with that, but something different is definitely welcomed right now). I just loved it so much.
The only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is cus from all the x men movies, this one included, Logan/Wolverine never really became a favourite, he's just not the sort of character that wins my heart over. Laura on the other hand... love her so freaking much.

i remember reggie and joelle were my otp in s1 and 2 but i don't remember half of their arc anymore because of how shit my memory is and how long it takes for these seasons to come out jhfhajhs either way i'm still mad this was all their episode is... im so confused about what is going on with reggie, i need answers.
apparently i need to regain my childhood innocence but making this a live action made me v uncomfortable with the whole beast thing LMFAO. but still, the movie's pretty beautiful

that was so freaking cute and such a nice send-off to woody! really loved it

that felt really cute and really genuine!
this is finally starting to feel like old school shameless again, bless
this show lowkey makes me uncomfortable now lmao not sure if that speaks in its favour or against it tho
THAT'S the Shameless i fell in love with all those years ago. They definitely got lost along the way but this second part of season 9 reminded me exactly why this show used to be, and could still end up being, one of the best. This family, these characters, these actors are amazing and if given the right material they can tug at your heart strings like few others can. I'm gonna miss Fiona so damn much. But i cannot wait for season 10. If they keep up this level of quality and with Mickey and Ian back?? Shaping up to be their best season yet. Let's gooooo november 11th!!!!!
not a dull moment in sight.
watched this movie cus my brother really wanted me to lol.... i could smell the white saviour complex coming a mile away. it’s 2019 can we please stop making movies about vile white men realising they’re f*cking disgusting? I’m not gonna pat you in the back for being a decent human being. i have 0 sympathy for this CP Ellis man. thank god this didnt get any hype or it might have gone on to win the 2020 Oscar for best picture lmaooooo
meh, this was veryyyy underwhelming
it started out really well but from the point when Destiny has the baby the pacing and the structure of the movie became weird.
the concept behind this film and the way it's realised is insane. really really really good.
wasn't a very good movie, but james mcavoy made it worth its while. i'm curious to watch the last movie of the trilogy! (unbreakable was amazing tho, but this definitely fell short)
what is chris nolan smoking every time he makes a movie?!?
no, seriously, i was proud of myself that i figured out teddy wasn't actually the killer and that natalie was using leonard's revenge to get her own with more or less 40 minutes left of the movie. i thought i'd managed to figure out the big plot twist ahead of time like i did with fight club and was feeling all cocky until the movie threw me another curve ball with Leonard being Sammy all along lol. amazing ending. amazing movie.
