Flashback episode that provides a lot of exposition but I actually found the story very engaging and even suspenseful and eerie at times. The way this episode ended was genuinely unsettling and creepy.
Wait that’s nick offerman??? I didn’t recognize him the last two episodes, and I only recognized him because of his voice.
Also that scene with Baltasar dancing has been the best thing I’ve seen in a while!!!
Now I want a show about a mexican fashion designer who has a side job as resort manager and also has a shady family and his best friend is Luna!
I'm actually quite enjoying this series so far. I find it genuinely funny at times, and by far the best thing about it has been the chemistry between the characters. The relationships between Emma and Noah as well as Sam and Violet both feel very natural and these actors have great chemistry with one another. Two different relationships but both enjoyable for their own reasons. Didn't expect much going into this show but I'm genuinely looking forward to the next episodes to drop.
A verry funny episode, great alchemy between the two actresses in the cellar , and less English subtitles for me:rofl:And BTW Katja Herbers is .... Dutch :joy:
Sure, anything about a cop killing a black person is called woke and instantly gets a 1 on here. In this show it was intriguing though. The whole episode was really good and not only about racism.
Though the episode was basically saying every cop is racist, even good “or no cops are good” cops are racist, like Kristen’s friend. Saying she’ll put in her report that Kristen thought she saw a black man her yard. I found that unnecessary and kind of forced into remind us the episode was about racist cops.
Ben trying to figure out how to get rid of his dream demon was good. As well as Kristen’s guilt about killing a man.y
That could have been worse. Subject matter wise it was a bold attempt. TV over all has been notoriously bad at handling this. Even Evil a show that is imo so well written i trust it could have done this poorly. In the classic refusing to answer fashion Evil does a pretty good job of having it's characters react in a pretty realistic way to a ridiculous situation even one that has a degree of merit in their world.
So Kristen finally admits that she did kill LeRoux. Does this give her absolution ?
This episode was intriguing, I liked it.
I liked the antithesis it showed, that when you're black you can get in trouble even if you are innocent, and if you are white you can get away with murder even if you confess
Woa, an old-school zombie (side) story out of nowhere? Amazing.
I like what the show is doing and how it opens people's eyes into the issues of the modern world in a such a spooky style.
That was a good one. So far, still a very good start to the new season.
Kristen should take her daughters on her cases more often, they completely change the dynamic of the show, ahah!
Also, creepiest episode, so far, probably. I wish they had developed more on the creepy half girl, but I guess not dwelling on things too much is what keeps this show from falling into clichés.
Isn't Ben supposed to be the brains here? He was able to phone call Kristen and David yet didn't think of messaging them instructions on how to find him?!
Great episode. Love Michael Emerson's character Leland. He adds the humor into the show. Scoffing popcorn in the church. Hilarious.
The scary jump I did when the tak-tak girl jumped on top of Kristen. hahahahahahah
I love this episode but fervently hope that the twist at the end is just to mislead us.
We will see!
The scene where the husband got up and tapped his phone rather than looking at the analog clock shows how much we are dependent on our handheld devices
Everyone needs to stop telling her she jumped especially the medic on the rescue boat. You’re jumping to conclusions, the better term should be you “fell”
her husband definitely pushed her off what i assume was a cruise ship or Yatch
this was a great finale and truly good twist, though some may feel it took a shortcut but oh well. excited for what the next season brings.
A perfect finale, setting up a series of resolutions that it deftly swipes away to leave our hero fated for future seasons. This has been a blast of a series and I can't wait to see what they do next.
it just keeps getting good, the cabin story and how it ends.. omg I love it. there are so many episodes i love from this series so calling this my fav one seems weird, but hey its just amazing show.
Rian does it again. This episode was masterful in every way, what a ride! A lot of praise should be directed towards the writers as well. The Zuckermans were unknown to me until now, but this was some really tight writing. Suspense on this level can only be achieved when every part clicks. More of this, please.
Probably the best yet. My favourite so far, followed closely by the nursing home episode.
this episode was an intense stuck-in-a-cabin movie... amazing
A format shift, with us not witnessing the whole crime before Charlie's latest job is introduced. Lots to like here, as usual. I'll be sad to see this show end.
I liked the open ending and how it didn't wrapped things up.
Maybe I shouldn’t say some of this, but that episode was so good! Nobody died - A+, I didn’t know how she was going to figure it out, and I thought Jerry was behind her on that road. I loved how they cast the Owens family - superb job on all fronts! Also, 2 episodes in a row that left me asking questions about our characters of the week! Keep it up, Poker Face!
Loved Ellen Barkin here. I find this maybe the best (and funniest) ep so far, thanks largely to her, and her vs Lyonne. The scene where the latter kept popping up around the stage to hiss presumed warnings to the former is pure gold.
