lance reddick was a great zeus but my heart also hurts every time i see a posthumous role of his :sob:
and the gabe post-credits scene WHAT A NICE BONUS
This was alright, but it didn't feel very finale-like. There were big moments, but the tone and pacing.. it just didnt feel like there was a climax. It was fun and things seemed to end happily mostly, but it just felt like there wasn't much in the way of stakes
I was hoping something more exciting would happen in the finale. The entire series was this journey to the underworld for a quick bit of chatter with Hades then off we pop?
Percy fights Hades, meets Zeus and discovers the identity of the real lightning thief. Bit of a different approach from the book for the big finale and the plot twist but I think it worked in favor of this television adaptation. Loved the visuals of Mount Olympus looking grand as ever but I was expecting a bigger reveal of Zeus' character. A nice touching moment between Poseidon and Percy though. Overall a solid and faithful first season for the series. Hopefully Disney sees this project through to the end adapting all five books in the series. Still patiently waiting on the series renewal.
Maybe it's just me, but I was expecting more! Obviously season 2 coming, so more adventurous next season?
I also would like longer episodes, every scene seems a little rushed. Overall, enjoyed the show. :thumbsup_tone1:
Man, rest in peace Lance, a great choice to play Zeus, he will be missed
As for all of the episodes, it is too short.
However, this one is one of my favourites, great pace.
THIS HAD ME IN MY FEELS TBH
The pacing of this show is all over the place, and it reduces the stakes and tension of the episode. But I'm not gonna lie "hold fast mom" had me choking up a little bit
Good episode, all be it too short.
One of the better episodes of the show for sure, really loved the underworld and all the obstacles they had to face there, STILL don't feel the threat or danger of this 'war' that's brewing but a fun episode overall!
I knew Procrustes looked familiar, he was the ferryman in the first movie.
First of all Woddy needs more screen time because I ride for that dude. Secondly. there is so much to unpack from this episode I don't even know where to start. Like what in the world????
Everyone needs a Woddy! His role is a little small but it hits every time
Another terrific outing. The scene between Leland and Sister Andrea is outstanding, and I'm already hoping for more of them going head-to-head. If the writers have any clue at all, then they saw the potential, too.
WTH is wrong with Kristen? I am more and more convinced that she will be the villain at the end of this season…
That was one the best eiposdes this season
This finale left way too many unanswered questions and I don’t think it was able to pay off all of the intrigue the show built. With that being said, some good emotional themes were there and I think those were paid off pretty nicely, but the payoff and answers to all of the mystery surrounding the plot felt a little lackluster. It’s almost as if they could’ve done something much more satisfying and cooler but instead what we got was just okay.
Definitely another setup episode, but at least there are some good character moments. They’re going to have a lot of stuff to bring together in the final episode.
This episode provided some answers but mostly just raised more questions. Felt a little like a bridge episode to set up the finale. Hopefully the mystery pays off.
". . . [My brother] doesn't really like tourists. Or anyone, really. He's been trying to kill me since he discovered that I am better than him. At everything in life." Baltasar cracks me up.
The exclamation of surprise followed by "His house is as horrible as his book" took me out lolll. This man is an author's worst nightmare.
I felt like that was a C-section. Good to know I'll likely be asleep! I can only imagine the added pain of not seeing the baby girl though. Alright, I thought Alex had something like early onset dementia/Alzheimer's, but now I'm wondering if he's schizophrenic.
Seems to be transforming from a typical mystery comedy to more of a sci-fi or fantasy thing? They're doing a great job of building intrigue and mystery, hopefully it all pays off.
What the heck was that ending!!!
I got goosebumps!
I m hooked, great show
Flashback episode that provides a lot of exposition but I actually found the story very engaging and even suspenseful and eerie at times. The way this episode ended was genuinely unsettling and creepy.
Wait that’s nick offerman??? I didn’t recognize him the last two episodes, and I only recognized him because of his voice.
Also that scene with Baltasar dancing has been the best thing I’ve seen in a while!!!
Now I want a show about a mexican fashion designer who has a side job as resort manager and also has a shady family and his best friend is Luna!
I'm actually quite enjoying this series so far. I find it genuinely funny at times, and by far the best thing about it has been the chemistry between the characters. The relationships between Emma and Noah as well as Sam and Violet both feel very natural and these actors have great chemistry with one another. Two different relationships but both enjoyable for their own reasons. Didn't expect much going into this show but I'm genuinely looking forward to the next episodes to drop.
A verry funny episode, great alchemy between the two actresses in the cellar , and less English subtitles for me:rofl:And BTW Katja Herbers is .... Dutch :joy:
