That sidestory of the POTUS' daughter is somewhat nice as well :) Chelsea Arrington (a nice character), Ellen, and Erik Monks form an interesting trio. I wonder if that storyline will merge into the main one (e.g., if Ellen is a target and I wonder what role Erik will play).

The plan of Rose and Peter was kinda funny but also a bit too unrealistic/stupid. Farr reacted pretty calm given the circumstances.
That countdown for the disc decryption is super unrealistic though - you cannot predict how long it'll take (you can calculate how long a brute force attack can take in the worst case but you cannot know how long it will actually take to find the correct key/password - and you have to severely restrict the search space to even make it feasible).
Backdooring the White House was quite a crime :o :D
Farr should definitely stop her really bad habit of putting her ID badge somewhere and leaving it there pretty unattended. That defies the purpose of these badges (an OpSec fail)!

Rose also shouldn't have texted her location to that number without verifying that she's communicating with Peter (she should've verified his ID by asking him a personal question or, even better, asking for a key/codeword that they decided on in advance). Otherwise she could be texting her location to someone else if Peter would've been caught!

It was quite interesting to see young Viktor. He's an interesting character :) I like him but somehow I'm always afraid that he's on the verge of becoming "evil" without really intending it.

I also liked Heimerdinger's quote: "Those who shine brightest often burn fastest."

It is nice that Jayce still remembers that "Viktor saved my life once" and basically considers him a brother.

It was cool that Timo was in that book :D I wonder if he'll be a character in this show as well.

I'm irritated that Caitlin traded her rifle for the medicine. It must be one of her dearest possessions, right? She must really care about Vi (or at least about the mission). And Caitlin even hugged that person she just met (and that apparently ratted them out later).

Jayce voting Heimerdinger out was heartbreaking. I get why but how could he do that? Their relationship wasn't always easy but didn't he get his seat thanks to Heimerdinger? And he basically was his mentor. Jayce should've searched for a better way... :o I have a bad feeling about this decision!

It was great that Vi apologized to Jinx <3 That was right and necessary. Now I'm fine with whatever happens next. Powder might be too far gone or too crazy but at least Vi tried and basically did everything right. Therefore, it won't be frustrating if Jinx doesn't come back to her. I'm sometimes so frustrated by movies where the apology doesn't even happen...

Anyway, it was unfortunately a short reunion. But nonetheless a sweet one :)

PS: And that poor animal! It looks so cute and had such a bad fate... :o I was quite confused about Viktor at the end (he shouldn't understand that).

Oh, wow, what an amazing episode! IMO it's certainly one of the best if not the best.

There weren't many battle scenes but the political/story parts are just so great.

First, we got to see a bit more of the forrest on that colony. I saw that behind the scenes video and IIRC it consists of ~200 artificial trees that were placed in a bit studio so I wondered if that was really worth it if we only get to see such a small part. Anyway, it just highlights how much effort and dedication went into this superb show.

It seems like Cara didn't leave any letter/note for her parents (then again she probably assumed they wouldn't notice her absence). That must've been an extremely bad day for her parents. The fear of loosing both children... :o

Cara's revived brother didn't seem that well but that shouldn't be too surprising. At least he still seems to have his memories. I'm a bit irritated about the stop motion effect. That was already strange with the bird. It reminds me of old robots but doesn't seen appropriate for super advanced protomolecules technology. I wonder the reasoning for this choice but I assume there is an explanation.

The short battle scene at The Ring was also nice. It nicely demonstrated the immense speed of those ships and the sheer size of that ring.
Drummer was totally awesome and badass during this whole episode. Her coming to save the day was awesome as well as her initial rejection of Avasarala (plus of course Avasarala "highjacking" the video feed in the first place).

Then there was a funny baby hand :D I always envy such medical advances the most. At least it was a bit of a releave that even they cannot fix everything and had to resort to protheses. Not fun at all for them though...

Avasarala saying "Oh James, you're truely one of a kind." was so on point and also hilarious.

I was surprised though that Bobbie simply laughted off Jim's action. WTF?!? She was so pissed... But I guess she was mostly over it and it a (somewhat) good mood (good enough to join Amos though? xD).

Philip finally getting through to the truth was a big relief. Now, his character will hopefulyl get an important role in the next episode. I'm still unsure what he'll do though. Simply try to overthrow Marco but continue the mission or trying to end the war?

And last but not least there was the most epic scene of this episode: The handshake between Captain Drummer and General Avasarala. What an important and monumentus occasion. Tbh I had tears in my eyes.

F**ing Holden!... :o I hoped that he'd at least have a better explanation but I'm not surprised at all that he didn't.

Ok, first things first: I was quite irritated that Cara waited so long to try to save her brother. I wasn't sure if she was waiting for everyone to leave (which seemed most likely) or didn't yet think about it. It kinda bothered me a little bit seeing all these people in their house, talking casually while her dead brother is lying there. Couldn't/shouldn't they at least give their family a bit of time to grief in private!?! Anyway, I assume Cara's reasoning to wait with her plan was either to protect that animal (if the others learn about them they'll surely run some tests that those animals won't enjoy) or she thought that no one would believe her. Waiting seems very risky to me though as brain cells start to die after around eight minutes, IIRC. If the animals cannot revers that (and I guess it might be very difficult to reverse) she'd risk her brother having permanent brain damage (or she isn't aware of that yet - after all she's quite young). Unfortunately we have to wait for the next episode to see how that'll play out. I guess we'll learn much less about the Laconians than I thought.

Monica continues to be at the center of the action (or close to it - too close in this case!).

Marco seems to be very very bad at loosing. And Philip standing up to him didn't seem to make thing any better. Only Rosenfeld seems to be able to reason with him. She's totally badass btw! Not afraid to openly speak to Marco and disobey his orders.

Then there was Jim's explanation for what he did and it was really really bad. I already expected that it was for Naomi, out of a gut feeling, and not thought through but that explanation with not being able to have killed Philip and be with Naomi?!?... :o Wake up Jim! It was Bobbie who fired that missile and you didn't even give the order (he instructed Bobbie to wait). So that explanation is just BS IMO. Anyway, it's Jim, I guess... He might be dead though once Bobbie finds out :o :D

Camina was extremely pissed at the end and totally badass. Marco won't have it easy at all now. I'm just a little bit surprised that Philip still sees Camina as an enemy.

They could describe Quentin's final scene in the mirror world as "Alice sees a lot of beautiful sparkles." :D

But in all seriousness: This was a very nice and beautiful ending. For me this would also be a fine conclusion for this show but I definitely don't mind that there's a fifth season (let's just hope they won't mess things up and the end will also be so beautiful).

At first I didn't really care about Quentin's death because we already know this isn't the end for him, that he'll meet Penny, and IMO Alice should be ok (not ideal but hey, it's not like she never messed up). But when I saw Elliot it hit me and I became quite sad. He didn't even get to say goodbye - that must really suck... :o At least he still has Margo though and already got to tell Quentin how he really feels about him. Then I got a little bit annoyed that they burned all of his things instead of keeping them as a memory - I got the gesture though. But then Julia cried and I got really sad again. Luckily it ended beautifully. Julia finally got her magic back and the futures for the others looked bright as well.

All in all, the fire, songs, Penny's narration, and Quentin's happiness were just so heartwarming and beautiful :) <3

Edit: And the many magicians working together was so awesome as well!

Oh wow, that was an epic one!

I'm glad there was more to that rockhopper(?). It's nice that the bird mother is fine, although it didn't look that healthy/strong yet. Cara seems a bit naive though :D "It's fixed"... That's good but I'd be quite unsettled about the fact that something on that planet could fix their drone. I guess this is due to the protomolecules? Anyway, I guess in the next episode we'll learn more about it and how they'll likely revive Cara's little brother.

The message from Prax was great as well. I'd love an increased focus on such scientific aspects if there was more time.

Monica is in quite a lucky position. She certainly has a lot of impact and reach. That soldier was concerning though... :o Hopefully that explosion at Ceres wasn't caused by the inners! Luckily it seems very unlikely that they would hurt their own but one never knows...

That battle at the end was amazing! The railgun shots were epic and I'm glad their genius plan worked out. Marco did take a huge hit there. I wouldn't want to be him, loosing a 3v1 battle to a small ship... xD I'm also really glad that Bobbie took the shot but Holden disarming the missile sucked (but not that much since it would've been over too fast - however, if that gets out, Holden (that idiot!) will be in really really deep trouble... :o).

5.5/10 - I was so hyped for this but unfortunately it was quite a letdown... :(

The CGI, cinematography, and audio/sound is nice but I didn't like the writing (at all!). I was expecting a cool Sci-Fi movie about AI with interesting concepts but IMO this is fantasy and not Sci-Fi as it lacked any science (I really cannot remember anything technical/scientific - I guess the highlights were "off", "standby", and "coding error"...). I also didn't find any meaningful deeper meaning and couldn't really relate to any of the characters. I only remember one (IMO) bad AI movie (Chappie) as I really love AI based movies but this was really meh (I don't hate it but I don't like it either - it basically left me emotionless - nice visuals, cool sounds, but a dull story, unfortunately). IMO the story was as full of plot holes than a Swiss cheese :(

I watched this movie in the cinema and don't remember any reactions apart from 1-2 laughs at cheap jokes (like the "I just switched it off"). I just sat there after the movie, watching the end credits and trying to think about deeper meanings, the story, etc. but the only thing that came to mind were the visuals and audio.

It makes me a bit sad that the budget was wasted on a story that felt way too cheap. Even without interesting Sci-Fi concepts it could've been better by focusing more on fantasy world building (like some recent Star Wars shows (apart from the main movies!)) or comedy (like Marvel movies/shows). I was also annoyed that many kinda important characters died - there was so much death in this that I quickly stopped caring about it as it simply became the norm or a least a theme...

It even ended with a boring (IMO) open end (and I do not hate open ends in general!).

Anyway, IMO the story is quite meaningless and contains too many plot holes.

8.5/10 - I cannot really keep up with things on my own but it's awesome! :)

Damn, that did suck. I wasn't sure if he's good or bad and that seemed to seal his fate without a way out. I'm super glad that they've been wrong and he isn't Sauron!

The result was quite epic:

I did fear that the Elves might seek war with the Dwarves to save their race but I'm relieved that theiy're better than that!

Galadriel and Elrond really have a strong friendship as well.
Halbrand and Lord Celebrimbor were interesting.

So Halbrand is Sauron?!? What a twist... :o Seems like Galadriel touched the darkness quite literally :o

Tbh I'm still unsure if that giant stranger is Gandalf or not... He does at least seem to be a wizard (/ wise one). IIRC there were 5 wizards but I only remember 3 of them. It would make a lot of sense if he's Gandalf but there are also things that don't really seem to quite fit.

Damn, as if the last episode didn't already hurt enough... :o RIP Purin. What an utterly tragic past...

The adventure of the think tanks / Tachikomas was kinda nice. I'm slowly getting used to their high-pitched voices and can increasingly relate to them. The crying was weird but nice.

And it starts to look better! I was excited when they started constructing a virtual personality of Purin :) But I'm also worried! They have lots of data about her but not all. I'd feel way better if they could've saved/digitized (uploaded) her brain (since she was only shot in the body). I hope her virtual personality is complete enough (in theory it would never be perfect, unfortunately).

It also looks like they already started printing her a new body. I guess Major won't be the only member with a fully synthetic body then... But IIRC Major still has a human brain.

Oh dear... Very exciting but I'm not sure if that was a good idea :o At least 1A84 was compatible with her human brain. Let's see how that'll work with a cyberbrain and what 1A84's intentions will be...

And let's see how everyone will react to Purin's "return". (Pretty interesting and sweet how the Tachikomas decided to delete their memories.)

Oh, dear, it's getting real! I liked the fun times with Geralt and Ciri but I guess the story has to progress... :)

I was relieved when Vesemir said that he's hopeful, not desperate. And it was awesome when he said "forget it" to Ciri <3 But unfortunately Ciri was too convincing and he was too weak. Then Triss attempted to save the situation but she got too scared. Ciri and Geralt probably need her - I hope they can convince her to help when she calms down but it doesn't look good at all at the moment... :o At least Geralt came back at just the right time <3 Ciri is already super strong and I wouldn't mind her becoming physically badass like a Witcher (vs. mainly through her chaos) but I don't want a darker version of her (currently she's still a bit of a happy and innocent princess).

The scene where Yennefer spit that alcohol in the face of that evil mage was the best one xDDD Yenn's still super badass, even without her chaos!
It just sucks that she got betrayed that way... :o Tbh I even want her to get a little bit of revenge (that traitor should learn her lesson).

The ending seemed very concerning (Yennefer vs. Ciri)! I hope she doesn't agree to that... Unfortunately she doesn't know yet that Ciri is Geralt's child of surprise :o

PS: Istredd and Geralt are especially interesting together as they both love Yennefer. Not sure if that can end without drama but at least Geralt knows now that Yenner is still alive.

Oh, wow, this is difficult to rate. It's technically very good but I don't really like it. So I'll go with a 7/10.

The good stuff:

• Exceptional sound and sound effecs (with headphones this was brilliant!)
• Beautiful visuals (not always but some really good shots!). I would've loved to watch it in 4K but Netflix only offered it in FHD and I bought the BD before I had a 4K display.
• Some things are physically (pretty) correct
• TARS is funny
• The extreme weather on earth is interesting (especially since we're heading towards that future, unfortunately - a couple of days ago sand from the Sahara made it to Germany and came down with rain which was quite an interesting phenomen, IIRC it's nothing new though but I never experienced or at least noticed it before)

The bad stuff:

• It's darker than a DC movie
• There's so much artificial drama and often at teh cost of physical correctness
• Lot's of things don't make sense (IMO especially the time stuff)
• It is difficutl to follow. One gets thrown into the story right away without any explanation or intro. And we only got fragments of what happened on earth (how the population got decimated).
• I don't like the documentary style but it was fine as there were only few such scenes Dumb car chase (dangerous!)

So in the end it was an interesting movie but I don't really feel good after watching it. The drama is kinda fine because it's basically there from the beginning to the end so I didn't start to really care about any of the characters anyway (which is normally a bad thing but in this case I prefer that). The thing that get's me though is that it shows how much we humans don't know and unfortunately that's very true (so my thoughts signifficantly amplify that). We could even be living in a simulation. We basically don't know what living/existance is. We can observe our environment and create models for how things work and use that to predict the future but we don't know how the universe was created, if there's only one, how long our universe will last, etc. And that makes me question the meaning of life. I like living but does it even matter in any way at the end? Will humanity have a lasting impact or will we just be some dumb virus in our galaxy that tried to spread but failed.

Quite scary to think about such stuff... So I'll better end this review now :)

9.5/10 - Another absolutely great episode <3

That decapitation scene was well cut :D Visually it kinda wasn't really brutal at all (apart from the blood at the end) but it was very clear what happened. I liked that style.

It was quite heartbreaking when Caitlyn's plan didn't work out. "It's gone." "It was all for nothing." That really hit me. I'm just relieved that they got to talk to the council so it wasn't really all for naught.

Speaking of that: It really killed me how Caitlyn's mom kicked the door open and stood there with the gun xDD And it was so lovely that Caitlyn brought Vi to her home. It was quite amazing to see Vi react to everything new. And the two are of course so sweet together! And they fell in love faster than I thought.

If Jinx wasn't insane before the procedure she's probably proper crazy now... :o That final scene was quite scary - I hope Caitlyn will be fine.

At least Ekko is still alive :) I'm so happy that he met Heimerdinger. I was afraid that he'd do something stupid or get into trouble but I expect that it'll work out very well now. It's awesome how he wants to offer his assistance to the people of the undercity (and that scene with the kid was lovely). He's much more grounded than I though (I already really liked him before but that probably makes him the best (smart, kind, etc.) character). I really want to see Ekko and Heimerdinger work together now! :)

It looked like Viktor's plan didn't really go well... :o And IIRC he was even aware that Sky is into him. Quite unfortunate! I guess that won't end well now...

And Vi has her gauntlets - at last :)

6.5/10 - Lots of action and CGI but little story.

The intro started off well. Those sounds don't get boring :D The scenes at Cybertron are very cool, especially due to the flying ships. I still remember how cool that was when watching it at the cinema in 3D <3 For some reason especially that last scene when "The Ark" got shot down but that cool missile(s).

It's also interesting how Optimus described their race as "mechanical beings". That seems quite oversimplified (something like cybernetic beings would seem more appropriate - mechanical stuff doesn't get far...).

The most interesting part of the story was that alternative motivation for the race to the moon. It could kinda make sense.

However, Sam's new girlfriend (Carly) is a really boring/stupid character IMO. It looks like they just wanted her to be hot (and I don't even find her hot for some reason). She kinda feels like a blonde barbie doll: Beautiful but dull (ok, maybe that reference is inappropriate - no offence intended). Anyway, she feels neither smart nor tough so I'm not interested (apart from the British accent of the actress). That story about the breakup with Mikaela feels also like real bullshit... (but I guess there's no real alternative - other than letting her die at least).

Sentinel prime was a cool character for a bit. The smart "technologies inventor". However, him turning didn't quite feel right (his behaviour feels to inconsistent).

Chinese guy was fun for a bit btw. But then they took it way too far...

It also sucks that many transformers died in a frustrating way. Ironhide getting shot in the back by Sentinel Prime and Que dying unnecessarily as a prisoner at war.

I loved "Monsters" (Paramore) during the end credits though :)

Oh, wow, what an epic masterpiece!

I doubted one last episode would be enough but they made it happen <3 IMO this is indeed a satisfying ending.

The highlight was of course the most epic battle ever! So awesome with so many different aspects. I loved their plan with the many containers coming out of the ice hauler and the evasive maneuvers plus hard landing were both very intense and fascinating to watch. And those huge railguns! Them being on the ground put such a different perspective on things. I'm loving it! Then there were so many different kinds of combat (ship vs. ship/railguns/humans/etc.), torpedos, PDCs, etc. And Amos and Bobbie were such heroes. Plus of course the soundtrack and sound effects made everything even more epic.
I also absolutely loved the political discussions at the end. This show has a way to make politics so interesting :) And of course James just had to pull another major stunt... xD

Some nice quotes:

• Cara: "If I die the dogs will fix me."
• Avasarala: "It's this kind of bullshit that has left all of us with fewer ships."
• Avasarala: "Don't you fucking do it."

It's a satisfying conclusion to this awesome show but I certainly wouldn't mind if they manage to reboot it. It doesn't seem like there's a lack of content to tell :D It's also nice that Philip escaped / ran away. It's a very satisfying yet very open ending.
