So far it's way overly sensationalised. Will watch one more episode to see
Oh my God this is a terrible terrible excuse for a film.
Okay in a predictable way till the final third and then it descended into the worst film of the year
I mean none of it made any logical sense but I wasn't really expecting any logic, but this was just plain infuriating and awful
So I think the title is a bit misleading, makes you think it'll have more of an unsettling atmosphere.
Also I have an issue with the ending, not that it's bad, but it does perpetuate the stereotype that mental health issues are merely fake excuses that let criminals get away scott free, and even trained experts can be fooled.
I still really love this film, but the whole Harvey Dent storyline makes absolutely no sense.
interesting, I'd never heard of Martha Mitchell before. this is almost too short though, I'd like to know more.
This is a terrible film. Just terrible.
I'm sorry did Spock really say that the reason this serial killer murders women is because women feel more fear than men, and are easier to scare! say what now!
Kirk really needs to check himself, surely the crew and the ship come before his pride in his own abilities.
This episode annoyed me so much. If you shoot, stab and beat down your hero he does NOT get to stand up and destroy his opponents 2 mins later at least, not unless you are watching a cartoon.
Supposedly this is a classic, and part of the "canon" of great films. I dunno, seems all over the place and badly directed/written to me. But maybe that's because I can conceive of Mexicans as people not criminals. Also Brownface much!
This was not a good film.
Not good at all.
the first half of this film almost madee turn it off, but it pulled it slightly together in the end. it showed heart, not enough to make up for the bad writing and lack of characterisation in the first half. but enough to save it from being a god awful film
it's amazing to read the comments about these 'unlikeable characters' as I didn't think anyone was unlikeable. I mean they all had flaws and acted badly, but isn't that part of living?
I really loved the way it asked so many questions, and the fact that it says right up there it doesn't matter what the truth is, just what people believe. I'm not sure I agree entirely with that, in some cases the truth is a fact, but it works for this film
urgh. so pedestrian and predictable.
the role of Michelle could have been played by a lamp for all that Basinger had to do
not sure why this one got so panned on relief. it was pretty much what you'd expect from the premise. not fantastic, but enjoyable enough tosh
I enjoyed this. it didn't work overall, some was a bit messy but it also had some very emotional scenes that really hit. overall a solid bit of entertainment
one of my all time favourite films. I've researched it many times, slow and measured. a simple story well told and with great chemistry between Duvall and Costner.
have to say that although I wasn't too pushed on the trailer this was a really good opening episode.
I don't know if this is any way accurate but as a film it is very powerful. it doesn't shy away from the horrendous acts committed but yet has a strangely sympathetic approach.
very well acted and well worth a watch, but not an easy viewing
plodding and dull unfortunately. just didn't work at all for me.
this film didn't know whether it wanted to be a comedy or a horror, and so was neither.
but i didnt hate it, so I guess it wasn't terrible
It's an improvement over the first episode but nothing special. Lot of manufactured conflict and characters disagreeing with one another just to have arguments and "drama"
Not great to be honest. Doesn't feel like lotr at all, and way too many storylines going on. Some fairly weak writing
Well that was just terrible. Terrible and God awful.
This starts out somewhat interesting, but then is seems to warp into two different films that just don't gel at all. Scenes are held for far too long in an attempt to be artistic maybe? I'm not really sure why.
The central premise is also a bit hmmmm, i mean if that's what you wanna explore then okay, but do we always have to center every film around American protagonists and make them be the good guys when obviously they are not.
Maybe of the film explored more of the can horrific deeds ever be forgiven, and the actual impact of those acts it would have had more meaning. As it is it's all just a bit what was the point.
It certainly had a message to impart, but I prefer this to the glorification in other, later mob movies
Interesting, plenty of dark humour, and we'll told.
Everything was well done. But the story was just not for me, felt that id already seen the vengeance story in other guises, and would have liked a different take.
But then again it delivers what the trailer promised so I shouldnt complain.
That was a game. Tough on England, but so glad we won. Plus bonus point.
So close. And yet so far. Good game though
