This movie is all about friendship, loyalty, greed and betrayal.
With its smart writing and solid acting (especially by Jesse Eisenberg) I can say that this movie is one of the greatest movies of the new century.
I hoped a lot from this movie because of The Conjuring and Annabelle but it was not so good. Story was very simple. At most of the scenes i was laughing instead of getting shocked. I was also to blame for getting so hyped up!
I got 10 minutes in and hash to stop. This film has the quality of a porno with bad lighting and horrible acting. This movie is crap.
Bad acting, dialog, script, lighting, sets, dressing, sound... This movie has zero redeeming qualities.
There are many problems with the movie. But for some reason, I was terribly distracted by Taryn's absurd use of boots. Does she sleep with them, or is she very particular about wearing boots right out of bed to walk around the house?
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was an interesting film and has an even better title. I wasn't quite sure if I was 'getting' the timelines at the beginning and felt a bit disorientated but ended up being right. Nice film, one of the better romance films I've seen but I suspect I might enjoy it more in a few years, once I'm older. Best Jim Carrey performance I've seen though.
Beautiful, well made, heartwarming movie. I love it. There's nothing wrong with it.
Hmmm.. So the story is pretty cliched, which maybe can be excused because it’s already an 80’s throwback film anyway, but..
It’s taking a pretty long time to get to the finale when there is a pretty big tonal shift which just doesn’t feel right. I think this sours the whole experience (horror or not) for most people.
Summer of 84 is another addition in this (tiresome) 80’s retro-wave, so if you are feeling nostalgic, this wouldn’t be my first choice.
There is bad, then there is insulting. This falls into the later category; I don't care if Bay wants to make his testosterone fueled action films for teenage boys. But when he starts to bastardize history and deliberately bend it to suit his own political agenda, I have to step in and call bullshit.
I love the pacing and the overall mood of the film, which is very calming and well built. The story is filled with little details. The use of colors is astonishing, and the children are amazing actors. It definetly touched me.
I really loved this movie, it keeps emotionally invested. And I loved the final idea, that actually there's no real certainty that our life has any more sense and purpose than of the clones. So make youself useful. That's the vibe I got from it and it's not that depressinb if you ask me. Motivating actually.
Not bad, not great, just an ok movie. Its a decent time filler or something fun to watch with the kids. The animation is good. There are a couple of funny moments but nothing laugh out loud funny.
Ashton is not bad, a surprise for me!
Things got too slow for a season of just 12 episodes :(
