I wish I had known this was part of a trilogy. I loved Unbreakable and didn't realize until the end that Split was the second part. Now I have to watch Unbreakable again.
Elijah Price: First name: Mister. Last name: Glass.
Worked for me. The end of the trilogy. Ending could have been much better. I would like to see this franchise carry on, I would like to see more about the Group that ended the 3 lives at the end.:thinking:
I agree the other doubts, but the many travels of the scientist was because of him getting shot during the travel, there is some mentioning on that. That's why he is the only erratic. What I really wonder is what happens to the 2053 cop in the past
If you're looking for a historical accurate tale you should not watch this. There are more than "some events/persons that have been altered" for the story. The whole timeline of events is messed up. Meaning, many of those events happened at other times than shown here. This isn't a history lesson, it's a scripted drama. Entertainment. And that's totally fine with me because it does not claim to be anything else.
Historical drama is one of my guilty pleasures and this feels like watching something akin to Dallas or Denver in medival England. The costumes are amazing and having the oportunity of filming in this great locations is a luxury that makes this look so much better. The spanish accents are a little bit thick and sometimes it was hard to understand the actors. But in general they did a great job and I was especially taken in by Charlotte Hope.
Even from this mostly fictional depiction I gather that Catherine of Aragon must have been an interesting person and I might even take the time reading up about her. And if a show manages to do that I can only rate it as a success.
So, for all intents and purposes this was a woman's journey to becoming as much of a b**** as her mother-in-law.
"I'm not the guy you kill. I'm the guy you buy! Are you so fucking blind that you don't even see what I am? I sold out Arthur for 80 grand. I'm your easiest problem and you're gonna kill me?"
George Clooney kills it in this one! He's perfect for the role. The story keeps you at the edge of your seat and near the end the tension keeps growing.
Michael Clayton wasn't the movie I was expecting at all but I'm happy for that. Sometimes it is great to be surprised. Haven't seen that many legal thrillers but I might have to seek more of them out.
Best bit? The opening dialogue and the final scene. Starts off strong and ends on high!
Leaked footage of Daniel Day-Lewis announcing his retirement from acting:
"I'm finished"
I've seen a few times, only gets better every time and It's got a great message, both actors work great together and I recommend putting it on your bucket list XD
One of the closest seasons in history. A must watch!
Really good movie. The story was great. The acting was great. A bit slow, not a lot of action but it didn't really need it. I generally don't like flashbacks but they were well done and actually added to the story and the suspense.
The best movie I've seen in quite awhile.
Titanium > Any other lullabies out there
Pretty well done, but not really my cup of tea. I thought it was sad and kind of depressing, not scary. And I can appreciate that the acting is very good, and the story interesting and pretty unique, but I wouldn't call it the best movie I've ever seen. I have questions about the plot though, like who insists that their 13-year-old go to a high school party? What person with a nut allergy eats food without asking if there are nuts in it? Why was Charlie not carrying an Epipen? Why did none of the characters feel like they were connected to each other? Why did there need to be a demonic element? Is Ari Aster okay? Also I wish they'd done more with the miniatures, because that shit is cool.
2 hours into this movie, I saw some tits. So, I guess it wasn't a total waste of time.
This is almost a disgrace to our beautiful tradition Midsommar, but it's a beautiful movie yes. I will give it an honest opinion without all the ''Im a swede and I know how we celebrate midsummer''. This has the same kinda vibe as Hereditery but also completely different. I like how the movie was made specifically with real swedish actors that spoke real swedish. A lot was put into this movie and it was watchable. How on earth can you make a horror aspect movie that is so bright and with so many colors? I just don't get it. I enjoyed every second of this movie, even though the beginning kinda was slow it built up the story very good.
The death scenes of the elders when they jump off the cliff, is both a distrubing and a very well made scene. I kinda liked how they muted pretty much all the screams at the mans death. On a personal level I love when death scenes are muted cause it brings out so much emotions.
Went to the cinema just to see Cate ride a motorbike, wear a ton of cool clothes and be a general badass with a glorious fringe. Didn't leave disappointed, can recommend.
Fun and entertaining movie that left me with a smile. Anne Hathaway absolutely knocks it out of the park in the film and is the best thing in the film. This movie makes for a good addition to the Ocean's franchise.
Excellent movie! One that could be watched over and over!
wow Jean-Claude van Damme and Julia Roberts in the same episode, i should've watched friends years ago haha
"hey pheebs, wanna help?"
"oh, i wish could, but i don't want to"
mood
i just want a group of friends to watch soap operas with and yell at the characters to push each other down the stairs and clap together when they do
Heard about it tons of times, known the theme song for years, never knew who any of the characters are. Time to change that! Bit by bit.
"Dude, I just keep putting this shit on until I want to fuck myself!"
Myles Kennedy really has a rocking voice right?
Anyway Rock Star is a movie inspired by Judas Priest and how they replaced Rob Halford. Rock Star has a nice cast with Dominic West, Timothy Olyphant in smaller roles and Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston in the lead. They are all fine. They also have some true rock stars among the cast like Stephan Jenkins and Zakk Wylde.
The soundtrack is great though and the best part of the movie. Songs like Lick It Up, Stranglehold and Wild Side. We have the usual build up with the romantic plot, we have some fun antics like the Ferrari vs. Batmobile race and I really liked the way that the film ends kind of like it started. And damn I really love Myles Kennedy's voice.
So I really don't have much to say about Rock Star other then that I thought it was more entertaining when I was younger. Maybe it is because I saw the movie when I just started listening to hard rock more. Anyway it will still a decent rewatch.
