I love Charlie Day. The cameos in this movie are great. The movie was silly - but that’s the point. It was a social commentary of the ridiculousness of Hollywood. I really enjoyed it. It’s good for a bunch of laughs.
This was vulgar, silly, and HYSTERICAL. Solid cast choice. Fantastic soundtrack.
It really was great. Disturbing but great.
I don’t love live action remakes as a whole. For me, they lack the magic and nostalgia. But you better believe I made a point to try this one due to all the racist backlash.
I will say, this is probably the best live action remake Disney has made!
The cast is phenomenal. Halle Bailey was absolutely perfect in this role. Javier Bardem - helllllo Daddy Triton. Daveed Diggs as Sebastian? I mean has he ever had a role in which he didn’t blow it out of the water?! I even appreciated Awkwafina as Scuttle - even those I’ll admit it this initially gave me pause.
I didn’t love how they made Flounder. He was creepy. They coulda picked a cuter fish, in my absolutely-not-a-marine-biologist opinion! But if that’s my biggest complaint, good job Disney!
I have been a huge scream fan since the beginning. I will say this one was surprisingly very good! It has the campiness I live for (or die for?). I laughed, I yelled at the screen, I rolled my eyes, I cringed. All in all, everything I wanted from this franchise. Also my favorite character lived so I’m happy!
Can’t wait for the next one. I have already picked out who I want to be the killers, especially if it’s the last one.
Super cute movie! I loved it. Bob was so cute. Fantastical - Sam would definitely have some trauma happening. Great ending but let me just tell you - there are few animated characters I hate more than Captain!!! What a mean character for no reason.
I went in thinking I would hate this, but this was a pleasant surprise! Creepy Tim and Gay Pete Davidson are my favorites, but I found myself rooting for the main characters. Enjoyable movie, some easy laughs, and lots of smiles. A good one to watch after an annoying day of work.
Cute movie! I really enjoyed the adult actors... it was fun. The little girl was way over the top and annoyed me (sorry if that’s mean, but I would have wanted that warning!). All in all, a decent Christmas movie with a fantastic soundtrack.
Poirot is at it again! Interesting movie. The acting was great. Agatha Christie created some great stories.
I do have some questions that’ll never get answered. but overall, I did enjoy it.
Fantastic cast: Emma Thompson, Michelle Yeoh, Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding, Emilia Clarke’s eyebrows. Not to mention, great sound track à la George Michael.
I was going to say the movie was mediocre at best. However, it did make me sob like a baby. That says more about me than the movie (I’m a crybaby). But it’s a good movie to watch one time and move on. It’s got a nice meaning and awesome acting.
Also: LOL - Last Christmas I gave you my heart. Cannot determine if that’s clever or lazy, but after I finished crying I had a good laugh at that..
I am definitely not the targeted audience of this movie, but it was enjoyable! I won’t watch again, but it was cute enough.
I liked this movie. It only had a couple of funny parts, so don’t go into it looking for laughs. It also didn’t have too much of a plot. But I enjoyed the family dynamics and character development. Lydia is by far the best character.
All in all, a solid film for what it is, and not a terrible way to spend 90 minutes.
Twin Peaks if Twin Peaks made any less sense. I loved it. I have no idea what the hell I just watched but I loved it. I think if I wasn’t sober it woulda been even better.
This movie tackles serious topics while (whilst?) oscillating between dark and silly humor. I don’t think this will be a rewatch but if I had a Time Machine, I wouldn’t go back and change a thing. I think it was perfectly cast. There are some inconsistencies but the underlying message is there. It’s a good movie to watch while you’re avoiding responsibilities.
I am very confused. I did not hate it, but I am not sure how I feel. Acting is good and I am all about representation. But what was that?? Was the alien a balloon creature? It looked like an art project of a kite I could make.
The scariest part by far: when the Jupe kids dressed like aliens and kept turning the lights/sprinklers on… and then OJ punched one.
This was fine. Decent way to spend a couple hours ina Sunday. George and Julia have great chemistry; Kaitlyn Dever is wonderful in everything she does. Bali is a beautiful country. Fine, in every way.
I had to adjust my rating after sitting with this for a while. When I first finished I thought, meh. But now I found that I’m thinking about it a lot. One of those movies that somehow, good or bad, weaseled it’s way into my brain.
Was it horror? No, def not. But it had some creepy parts. I get scared easily, and not once was I frightened. Intrigued, sure. Did I get the wiggins? At least twice. But never scared.
I enjoyed it. Didn’t love it. But it was decent. Just don’t go in expecting to leave having that horror movie itch scratched, and maybe it won’t be the worst 90 or so mins of your life.
This was an odd movie - felt like 4 movie plots, and I didn’t really know what was happening. However! The acting was fantastic, and the dancing scene during credits was my favorite. I have no idea what it had to do with the movie, but I loved it. And so you don’t have to second guess your eyes or IMDb it, yes, that’s André 3000.
This was cute! Definitely would watch again. They did a good job with the graphics and loads of Easter eggs to the OG movies. I really enjoyed it.
I think the intended audience is younger than me, which explains why it didn’t hit home for me.
However what I DID love, I sure loved a lot: Kamala, the Flerkins, and the mid-credit scene.
I think it’s a fun, fast paced movie, and it will knock it out of the park for the more youthful crowd. I just think I’ve become more of a “get off my lawn you wacky kids!” than “how do you do, fellow kids?” and that’s not The Marvel’s fault.
Decent movie. Not great, not great at all. The funniest parts are on the trailer, minus a handful of other scenes that made me chuckle.
Will I watch it again? Definitely not. Do I regret the last 2 hours? Nah.
I had to call out of work the day after I saw this movie because of a migraine due to dehydration from crying.
I will NEVER watch this movie again. It had funny parts but I’m scarred for life.
Visually appealing. Overall boring. I didn’t care for the main character. She was annoying.
Some parts were fairly funny. It was surprising sensual. Not in a conservative-dont-show-your-kids type of way. But in a way that left me with a LOT of questions that probably were more inappropriate considering this is a Disney Pixar movie.
Favorite parts: when the grandmother died and poofed and at the end when the water dude told her that she needs her chimney cleaned. Overall, it was okay. I wouldn’t watch it again.
Probably my least favorite J Lo marriage movie, but it got a 7/10 because Jennifer Coolidge. “He didn’t RSVP!” - best line in the movie. It was dumb but not the absolute worst. Not a rewatch, but I don’t necessarily regret the last 100 minutes.
I watched this literally a couple of days ago and I can’t remember any major plot points… it was okay when it was on, and I liked it. But apparently it was very forgettable.
I woulda liked this A LOT more if it wasn’t a musical. I love musicals but this being a musical took something from it, in my opinion.
The story was cute. Leo is adorable.
Just be prepared for a LOT of singing.
As someone who works with kids, everything I know about FNAF is against my own will.
The movie was silly. When it tried to be scary it was laugh at loud funny.
It was both too fast and too slow. Clearly I am not the indended audience - which makes sense.
BUT. Matthew Lillard. :clap_tone1::clap_tone1::clap_tone1::clap_tone1: He is so underrated. What a brilliant actor. Love him.
I enjoyed the animation a lot, and the cultural diversity. However, this fell flat for me. Enjoyable but not worth the hype.
Incredible cast. Absolutely phenomenal casting.
I must not the intended audience of this movie… or maybe everyone else is just saying they like this to sound smart?
This wasn’t a particularly good movie. It wasn’t the worst? Sam Heughan is a beautiful man, even though his character was cringey.
I like Celine Dion, but can I tell you… this movie laid it on a THICK about Rene. She even had a line about how their relationship was just professional until she won Eurovision… it sounded VERY deliberate to distract from the fact that he was a groomer.
Besides them at grossness, the movie was fine? I won’t watch again. But I won’t judge you if you do!
Maybe it’s my fault for having expectations. Not even really high ones. But expectations nonetheless.
The animation was neat (the background was particularly neat in my opinion). There were two catchy songs that I already forgot.
I really liked the end. As in the credits - the animation there was fun. And they did tie it to other movies/universes and I really thought that was clever.
Not clever enough to want to rewatch.
