The one when we say farewell. There are very few sitcoms that get to come to natural conclusion and a true ending. There are even fewer shows in general that manage to have a satisfying series finale, which is deceptively difficult to achieve. Friends manages to pull that very well and it was a very big deal when it happened, possibly the last big TV moment of it's kind. Every character seems to have made it to a good conclusion to leave on with the exception to Joey. That may have been the justification for his spin-off. An easier way would've been for him to be cast in a major motion picture and was soon to become big star beyond Days of Our Lives. But even still, it's a satisfying end to a satisfying show.

The one that's not for everyone. In pop culture, there is the saying you are either a Elvis fan or a Beatles fan. That statement was adapted in the late 90's to, you're either a Friends fan or a Seinfeld fan. Now I don't personally buy into neither ethos, I understand the logic behind it. There is a frame-of-mind compatibility when it comes to Friends. If you are looking for simple turn off your brain humor it'll work perfectly, whereas comedy with complexity and nuisance is what you're looking for, look elsewhere. in my opinion, is it the best show in the world? No. Is it even the best sitcom ever? No. But it's fun as hell and I do enjoy it very much.

A super solid movie entirely on its own. Granted, the third act is very MCU formulaic, the movie provides a unique look and style that hasn't been present thus far in the MCU. Made me crave for more martial arts action, perhaps some Bruce Lee or CT/HD will satiate that. Can't wait to see what's next for Shang-Chi.

"Death has come to your little town, Sheriff." So it begins... the long and splintered story that is 'Halloween'. What I loved about the first installment is the greatness of its simplicity. There is no motive, only evil; there are no rules, only chance; and there is no man, only monster. Laurie Strode is an excellent survivor girl, an evolution of the archetype in the right direction. She has the capacity to make smart choices, but as the fear increases the decision-making may be less effective. Donald Pleasence as Sam Loomis, a driving force and heart of the movie and franchise as a whole. It doesn't take a third of the movie to set the stage either, it just goes immediately and fills in blanks along the way while hoping you don't get left behind. That's not to say it's fast-paced as it is as methodical as Myers himself, but Carpenter is simply utilizing every single minute of his runtime efficiently. John Carpenter's original, in my estimation, is a cornerstone of horror movies and a fundamentally must-see film.

Up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, it's.... an animation pioneer. There is a reason people who have seen these theatrical shorts, tout them so strongly. Visually, few animated pieces to this day compare to these shorts. They almost look like oil paintings come to life they are so beautiful. It's not without its flaws though. The visuals and the length hide the simple stories quite well in the Fleischer Studios shorts, the same can't be said for the remaining Famous Studios'. WWII propaganda plagued four of the episodes with some casual racism sprinkled on (Jungle Drums... Dear Lord). Lois' behavior really hindered me on some of the episodes. She was abhorrently selfish to the point of making the situation worse to advance her career because she knew Superman would save her. But when a story worked, it worked wonderfully and is recommended.

Breaking News, it's less of the same fake MCU news. I do appreciate touching on Ross being appointed Secretary of State out of nowhere in Civil War and if this show had supplied more of this with the debated topics this "season" would have landed on the good scale for me.

That great teen sitcom. Despite itself this show is a great watch. I do believe this show should have ended at season 6, with graduation ending season 5 leading into a 'season of self discovery' with the each member of the group discovering what they wanna do with the rest of there lives and have one final hoorah before going their separate ways as high school friends often do after graduation. Regardless, they seemingly were pot-committed run the show until it could literally no longer be 'That '70s Show'. The show did suffer a bit for that, especially the final season, but overall it's a fun time.

The one where the end is near. You know I've discovered something while writing these comments. My favorite seasons are the ones that felt the most balanced across all the friends. We are also heading to a natural conclusion to the characters as well; Monica & Chandler well into marriage looking to start a family, Phoebe in a committed relationship, Joey maturing from as a person who can have more than short term flings, Ross & Rachel trying to have a separate lives while also and not allowing that to effect their child. Also I love that Paul Rudd, such endearing person.

The one with the consistency. While not the best season, in my opinion, it is episode to episode consistently good and that does stick out when I look back at the episodes. I will say that while given the fallout of Season 5's wedding, I understand the ramifications that came from it. However, a major problem I had with all of it is I simply never cared for Emily, not even a little bit. Happy to walk away from all of that going into the next season.

The One where Friends is finding it's groove. While still not their best season if you are in it and enjoying up to now you'll like the whole show as a whole. The one with the good start to a good show. They were still finding their footing as most sitcoms do in their first season. Advice for anyone on the fence about the show, if you watch season 1 and don't like it, don't bother with the rest as it only gets marginally better over time. The show gets finetuned rather than improved into further seasons and that's prevalent in the writing even as early as episode two. It quickly becomes apparent why this is one of the most 'played in the background' shows of all time.

Overall, very good season. There are some Infinity Stone inconsistencies from episode to episode but not so noticeable to distract during the episode, only after. Jeffrey Wright as the Watcher is great, hope to see him in live-action as well as Captain Carter. Bravo to the VAs who had to replace some of the OG actors for a great job at blending in. Looking forward to see what they'll do for season 2.

I like that movie... that is a nice movie. I have watched Shrek at least once every couple of years since its release and the charm has yet to fade. The fact that it manipulates fairy tales in the manner that it does is kinda genius. The plot of Shrek may seem formulaic and mostly predictable because it is, so were all those fairy tales you knew growing up and that's not a bad thing. Memorable stories are often the simplest ones and that's how fables, folk legends, and fairy tales often survive the test of time. Shrek with a twist of irony, has become a modern-day fable of its own. The animation, while it may seem dated to some, I find it exactly what it needs to be and a few flaws that are present feel pointless to be picky about it. Gotta say I love this 'whirlwind adventure'.

Peter says that being Spider-Man is his gift and his curse. I would say that is as true for Tobey Maguire as well. A gift in that this movie became a foundational pillar in which the superhero genre was built after a nearly fatal shot by Batman & Robin in '98 and his legacy as an actor is cemented. A curse in that after this performance, no matter what Tobey does, Spider-Man will always be hanging over his shoulder. That is a testament to the performance itself which is great. While I believe that there's been better Spider-Man's since then and despite him being in his late 20's in high school there has yet to be a better Peter Parker than the one here in the Raimi trilogy. The only complaint I've ever really had about the movie is why anyone would cover Willem Dafoe's face as the Goblin is beyond my comprehension. Other than that, this is always a fun rewatch and a great way to introduce someone to the Human-Spider.

"Somebody save me!" Keep pushing is the motto of this season. Gough & Millar were definitely pushing against an anti-superhero wall while making this show. Season 1 was barebones of what a Superman origin show could be. Season 2 began to press more on the alien side of his origins. This one continues that while also adding other comic book elements. Red Kryptonite, Perry White, & Supergirl (sorta) are examples of them trying to press further into established lore in a world trapped in the DC dark ages between Batman & Robin and Batman Begins. Most of the season consists of fallout episodes from the previous two seasons, which can be hit or miss. Christopher Reeve's continued participation in the show right before his passing was beyond fanfare, it's respect in the highest regard for him and his contribution to Superman. Let's move forth to the fourth.

Nearing a full century, The Wizard of Oz defines the word timeless. Every time I come back to this movie, I'm flabbergasted at how well it holds up. Thinking back, this was the movie that may have broken my aversion to black and white movies and television that frequently occupied our TV in my youth. I still would begrudgingly wait for her to step through the door into the colorful world of Oz. Even then I knew that it was that contrast between the two worlds that made it so special when we did arrive in Oz and upon our return to black and white Kansas there wasn't any of that vitriol for the monochrome world that we live in. I suppose that if you don't like musicals, the movie likely won't agree with you. Otherwise, if you've never watched or you haven't since you were young, give 'The Mighty Miracle Show of 100 Delights!' a whirl.

To seek out new life and new civilizations. Pulling the plug on the show was the right call after this season despite two more being pre-programmed in the intro's monologue. It wasn't all bad but this season did provide the worst episodes of the series as well as a lot of repeated episode formulas with thinly-veiled stories. Also, my anger with Kirk in 'Requiem for Methuselah', a fairly good episode, made me realize my biggest qualm with O.S. Kirk does not behave, learn, nor adapt from the experiences of past episodes, as is the woe of episodic non-linear television.

Its five-year mission, to explore strange new worlds. Some consider season 2 to be the best and I suppose there is an argument to have to that point. As a whole the production was definitely better, characters were fleshed out more, and some of the O.S.'s best episodes reside here. The problem is when episodes weren't great, they were usually quite bad, not many middle-of-the-road episodes. While not having many "filler" episodes in a season is good, having strong fluctuations of good to bad is not a great sign of things to come.

Top story tonight... the MCU should give this another try on Disney+. This is the fluff between cracks. Though I would prefer they make more one-shots having regular news specials to compliment the movies and series would be fun and have details that weren't needed at the time but are added context for hardcore fans. While I didn't care a lot about this, it was manly because I actually felt they were too short at times and they hadn't found their groove yet. Also, this got me thinking that Sony complexities aside, having J. Jonah's Infowars-styled Daily Bugle also as a recurring show or even podcast would be spectacular.

That damn Foreman. Man, I gotta say the regression of the Eric Foreman in the final episodes really piss me off. I was really liking this season and then the main character regresses 4 seasons because of freakin' Luke Wilson!? Yeah, that makes sense.:unamused: Anyway, my contempt for that poor choice for character undevelopment looks to contradict my score. But truth be told, I enjoyed 80% of this season very much.
