That should have been it. On one side of the coin I can understand the endgame to That '70s Show being January 1st, 1980 which is what ultimately happen for better or worse. But on the other hand, having high school graduation be the series finale or the penultimate season feels more fitting for a teenage sitcom. Regardless, this season was my least favorite to date but only marginally so. No need to complain.

That musical though. We're at the halfway point of the show and the vital signs are not only stable but are pretty strong. All the story progressing stories in this season rest mostly under the shadow of the musical. Despite being the least popular and favorite episode of the season and the entire show, I be damned if I don't love it.

That teenage sex-driven drama. This season is the first to prove that despite the generational discrepancy, teenage problems are universally relatable and across all six teens, you are likely to relate to at least one of their experiences and knew someone similar to the others. The show also is continuing to do a great job at progressing both the adults stories and kids stories independently from each other while also having a second-hand effect in each others very effectively.

That great start. I will say it's one of the strongest starts to a sitcom I have ever seen. My early observation to the show is that it is "teenage 'Friends' a few decades prior". Every character is unique and fun to watch. This is especially impressive given the collective inexperience of the young cast.

The one with the not so subtle pregnancy. Did you know Rachel's having a baby, you will. Plenty of sitcoms have had pregnancy-focused seasons and storylines that I don't mind, hell even Phoebe was seasons ago. But for whatever reason, this one really bugs me most of the time. Whether it is the presentation of the supposed gravitas Rachel being pregnant is supposed to be or Aniston's performance during this time, it is some of the easiest set of episodes for me to pass on. Not bad, just meh.

The one where they return to form. I shared my thoughts that I felt that last season like Ross, the writers were on a break and the show thought differently. This felt like a strong return to the show where it shared an equal about of story progression and inconsequential plots that were all, by in large, equally entertaining. It is starting to become apparent in the show at this point that it is in the twilight of it's life.

The one that didn't need to happen. I don't really know what happened here but it seemed like all the writers except the one writing the Monica & Chandler stuff took the season off. Look, this season is fine but it's one the weakest and the weakest by far for me. It's was even a bit a challenge to find my top three but alas, I managed.

The one where the good times roll. Prime Friends continuing in Season 4 although this has my least episode of the whole series in it. The cringe of Ross calling Emily, Rachel, at the altar has made wince every time I've seen it and I simply can't watch that episode which is fine. There is so much good stuff here, leaves you wanting more. Sidenote, I really enjoyed the character of Kathy wish she stayed on longer. Paget Brewster felt like she fit in with the group, ah well.

The one with the strong outing. Best season yet and honestly one the best in the entire series. This is when we get to classic Friends when looking back at the show after the Ross & Rachel hookup/breakup saga. While their relationship hits beats again down the line, I always felt the first two seasons played on them a little too hard and left a slight albeit noticeable imbalance. Friends back to form.

It's fine. An unnecessary sequel to say the least. If Rick Moranis did not return for this as the case was for the series, it would be a much lower score. Moranis has the ornate ability to retain the essence of what made the first film so great. That being said it is just a lesser retread of the first plot with roles reversed, nothing more to it.

I will admit I am a MCU mark. Now with that being said, this film is in my top 5 MCU movies. It should be 'Avengers 3' rather than 'Captain America 3' and I would've loved to have had a more standalone movie under the Captain America banner, but then again the overall plots of 'Cap' movies have always been grander then simply Steve Rodgers - Super Soldier. Don't get me wrong, that is not me dismissing this movie in the slightest, but merely a bit of food for thought.

For me, if a film exceeds 2½ hours and I don't feel fatigued from it, I don't have to do a deep introspection to know how i felt about it. Even with all the players and everything going on, Civil War manages to tell a fantastic story that has its own conclusion that at the same time acts as a turning point in a much larger story.

A strong start to a smart show. Futurama does what many sitcoms, animated or otherwise, fail to do; deliver good content from season 1. The pilot is excellent and serves all the necessary origin story requirements. Then it dives immediately into the futuristic scenarios and satire that made this show so influential and irreverent.

As a rule of thumb, if I see a pop culture documentary, I will get around to watching it. 'History of the Sitcom' played a little differently than I thought. Rather than playing more linear in its entirety, it was more categorical. Each episode focused on a type or subsect of sitcom and from there played out a bit more chronologically. This worked out better, it didn't have to drag through the mud of the pre-Norman Lear days and helped with the pacing overall. A lot of folks from the sitcom world were interviewed which added a bit of legitimacy and validation to the whole thing. So far has been my first CNN docuseries, won't be my last.

This season tested my Patience. I like this show, I gonna get that out of the way right now. This season was too long for its own good. Had season 2 been 10 or even the old-school 13-episode set, it would've benefitted greatly. Tudyk is great as always and I enjoy everybody most of the time, but that's kind of the issue. Less is more and some of these characters can absolutely benefit from that as their shine was losing its luster for me by the end of the season. Season 3 is half the size of 2 so I'm looking forward to that. Beyond the season length, I'm still really digging the show. I do hope the showrunner has a destination in mind for the series, I don't think we need another Supernatural on our hands, 5-6 seasons tops.

Say Hello to the Queen of Dublin town. Mrs. Brown's Boys is an inexplicable favorite of mine. I'm usually not a fan of the man dressing as an old woman character schtick but I like Mrs. Brown. I don't usually laugh aloud at comedies I watch but I did watching this show. It defies what I typically enjoy and for that I'm grateful. This show is not critically great and I recognize that, but what it is - is fun. For less than three hours a series, I can't possibly complain. It may not resonate with everyone, in fact, I know it won't. But it's worth an hour's investment to see for yourself. Long may she reign.

Back to work Mammy. It has been over 10 years since we've seen a new proper series of Mrs. Brown's Boy and I have missed it. We've had plenty of holiday specials and a 'talk show' in between to keep the show from going cold, but I've really wanted some regular non-holiday-centric episodes for some time now. I never felt like the show ever ended properly and now it seems to have a second wind to change that. A shorter Series with four episodes as opposed to six this feels like a show properly back to form. Paddy 'Dermot' Houlihan seems to be co-writing the episodes with Brendan which may be the breath of life the show needed. Looking forward to hopefully seeing a Series 5.

He gets the job done, that's Eric C. Conn. That line can be heard at the top of episode 3 in a commercial and it can be heard in my dreams somewhere amongst the recurring nightmares of my youth. This doc plays pretty close to home for me and they are not overplaying the gravitas and celebrification of an attorney from Eastern KY. They covered everything in here some I didn't know and some I was watching unfold in real-time and it's quite weird to experience that in retrospect. For those who are watching this with a fresh pair of eyes, the appeal may not be there. But unlike some docuseries, The Big Conn doesn't try to waste my time and hits me with everything I need without feeling repetitive. An interesting look at a fascinating guy.

This is some underappreciated bullshit! This is a great example that a show can be filled with humor and doesn't have to be empty on the inside. The coating on the outside is a comedic fish-out-of-water story simple enough and doesn't need to be overcomplicated. However, when you crack into this nut, there is potential for good stories and great character development that Chris Sheridan & co. seem to capitalize on. Alan Tudyk's performance is top-notch and delivers me laughs in every episode. The supporting cast all seem just to get it and everything seems to click. There's something very human about this alien show and I'm digging it.

This is quite the intergalactic kegger right here. Men in Black is the type of movie I feel you have to go out of your way to dislike. Will Smith is at his peak here and I never was a huge Will Smith fan but did enjoy his Agent Jay character. Tommy Lee Jones is one of the greatest and can pull a good performance out of a wooden spoon. Vincent D'Onofrio is completely unrecognizable and becomes incredibly convincing as something not human pretending to be human. Barry Sonnenfeld always has an aesthetic that I enjoy and couple him with Spielberg and we have a winner.
