I don't know if it's the actress, the character, or both, but "Auggy" is the most obnoxious and irritating character I've seen in quite a while. Tiresome af, tarnishes any scene she's in.
No idea who greenlit this piece of manure. Looks like someone watched a couple of bad action-comedy films and then tried to write one... I cannot think of one thing that is decent in this one - writing is really, really bad, music is generic, fight scenes are "fantastic" as in they are not related to reality at all :(
If this was a film it would be awful, but someone decided to stretch it to EIGHT episodes. If only it was semi-decent...
Edit:
One more thing, this show reminds me of Z Nation tv show, an Asylum production (so heavily B-class production).
The thing is, Z Nation might have had low budget and was campy but at least it was funny and it build an interesting world.
Obliterated is an action-comedy show and it does both of the genres poorly. I don't think I laughed once throughout all eight episodes.
If only there were SOME things in this show that they got right, but even the drug use is portrayed poorly - guy eats a guacamole bowl of LSD and shrooms and is not only perfectly lucid for HOURS but also when it hits he has one specific hallucination? Give me a break, even wikipedia entries for drugs would get you closer to truth than this show's screenwriters lol.
There's a lot of tits and dick in this show, so there's that ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Not funny enough to be a comedy, not flashy enough to be an action comedy, not dramatic enough to be anything else.
Lack of a general direction seems to really hurt this movie, it wants to be everything and ends up being nothing of value. Shame, one hell of a cast tho.
This show should've ended seasons ago. If not for James Spader I would have stopped watching too and this episode? WOW at the political bullshit the writers are trying to push down our collective throats.
I get that FBI lady got got by the Triplets but who and why got Ray lol? Does not make sense, if it's revenge for the heist then why no scene for Stan/Judy? Everyone else is accounted for, the park scene does not do anything for closure - it only confuses the viewer.
This might be an experiment but a failed one it seems.
Definitely one of the worst if not THE worst episode of this show. Poorly written, hamfisted propaganda that had me rolling my eyes and loudly responding to what was happening on the screen. Good god, who the hell approved this trash of an episode?!
Hope this does not get cancelled, love seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the screen, especially playing Negan <3
Iris is the dumbest and most unlikable character in the entire show, even more so with every next episode. How could this get so bad is beyond me.
This is a poorly written shit-show and the only saving grace is Lance Reddick.
The main protagonist is supposed to be likeable, because she has a purpose, is "one of the good guys" while Umbrella is universally bad. Thing is, this character is unlikable in almost every scene and the choices... well, lol. I'd go with Umbrella if all my information about RE universe came from this show alone ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Worst DC animation I've seen so far, even on the technical level. If you look at the mouth animation for longer than a second you'll notice just how horrifically bad it really is.
I was wondering when will the Reginald "Spark Jar Releasing While Nukes Are Flying" Hargreeves scene come around and I was not disappointed (slaughtering the Majestic-12 peeps) :D
Ewan McGregor is mesmerizing as always - with an interesting plot such as this it's a wonderful watch!
Interesting premise, great cast, awful execution.
To put it bluntly - it is a waste of time.
Majority of the first episode got me hooked. Second ep got me slightly bored but I am not one to abandon started TV Shows so I'll see ot through.
I feel like I saw a different movie than other commenters. For me, this one was exceptionally fresh, except for the whole "haunted house" premise. The characters did not do follow the usual "what's that noise? I better check it out because I'm dumb" routine, all three lead actors were SUPERB playing their respective characters and the plot was more than believable (until the supernatural that is).
Definitely a fresh take and, boy oh boy, the house was amazingly well done, interior-wise.
Allison is the worst character, just wow, undefendable.
Decent episode but I have no idea how characters in the show AND people watching it stand Maggie's character. Not only is the acting "not so great" to put it mildly, thr character is a bona fide psychopath. Negan is a labradoodle compared to her lol.
Halfway done with this season, slogged through the absolute shitshow of an episode (ep12) and I HOPE they finished the season in a good way. Although from what I've already seen so far... not very likely.
Day of the Dead was mostly a claustrophobic drama with the backdrop being a zombie apocalypse.
This show seems to be a retelling of the original film and while it is getting there, at least story-wise, this is a completely different beast, sharing only the name and "story" with its predecessor.
After five episodes I do not think:
- it will be renewed
- it will get any better
If you want a "lighter" experience than The Walking Dead then Asylum's Z Nation is your best bet - it's original, campy and surprisingly well-written.
I thought this will be a dumpster fire but it actually works quite well :D You literally have to see it to believe it, Canal+ did it again!
Highly recommend to watch at least 3 episodes before you call it quits - you might get hooked!
Polish TV shows are godawful, however, the ones produced by C+ are decently written and the casting is rarely the "usual suspects" of Polish mediasphere.
I find two things interesting about this episode.
First one is that in some scenes John's P90 has a flash hider attached and in others a suppressor. Which means he either has a suppresor in a pocket somewhere and he changed it around (to suit the situation) ooooooor it's a goof :D
Second one is the shield. When interacting with the "bandits" Lucius beats them all up, some lose teeth or break their arms. When Kolya interrogates Lucius he suddenly is easily grabbed and submerged in the water.
If the shield only "protects" the wearer then how come Lucius was able to inflict such damage "accidentally" on the phony bandits?
If not then why did he not overpower Kolya's men?
Bizarre.
"When was the last time you had a time off?"
Elizabeth seemed puzzled and did not answer, despite her having basically several months off work after coming back to Earth :D
It was like a week, maybe two, since they got back to Atlantis? Rofl
Loved seeing this much of O'Neill on the screen, I miss the guy.
Also, he's looking way better than in the short time he was on-screen in SG-1 Season 9 :)
Damn you, Cam Mitchell! :D
MY TURTLES! :D Carson is a sweetheart.
Good things: Kong and the whole storyline, fights in general
Bad things: Every human storyline is a stretch, music is a weird mesh of synth music and 80s pop songs, someone wanted to be Guardians of the Galaxy without Guardians at all.
It's a nice film to watch late Sunday evening, just before bed, nothing else.
Skull Island is still undefeated as MVP of the Monsterverse (Monarch is out there as well).
The only redeeming quality of this film is Penelope Cruz cursing like a sailor :D The rest is the usual Woody Allen trash.
Wowza, the former Qtesh partner has a bad case of Orangefaceitis :x
Also, Vala holding the handcuffs key in her mouth after going out of the car was a BIZARRE choice. I understand the need to explain how she freed herself, but I am currently re-watching this episode on a Blu-ray and I had to pause to analyze what it is that I'm seeing. Looked like she had a huge drooling scene lol, can't imagine how this looked in SD lol.
Malikai returns! Window of Opportunity is a helluva drug.
Mitchell speaking Chinese is chef's kiss :D
