Waste more than half of the episode to recap what L has done, then waste the other half with a montage of Kira killing more and getting more approvals - just so that the last 30 secs could end in a cliffhanger with new characters? Umm... ookay.
I still don't like Misa, but I definitely don't dislike her as much as I did at the beginning. Since a few episodes, she's proven to be quite useful, and things are getting interesting now that she kinda reunited with Rem. I hope she and Light can regain their Second Kira and Kira memories at one point in the anime - though knowing Light, I'm sure he thought of a way to be able to have access to the Death Note and Ryuk again. Ryuk... I'm missing him, he's the best character for me. :'c
Man, that bonding scene was so nice... I would've liked if Light actually became to like L during the time working with him, but judging from that psychopath look and monologue of his after L died, I guess he didn't take a liking to L at all... Though it's "understandable", since Light is Kira.
The part I didn't understand, however, was when Rem killed Watari. Like... why? Did he suspect that L (I mean the person awaiting execution) would write Misa's name there, or what? There was no point for Rem to kill Watari and L, since even if they 100% make sure that writing in the notebook is the way for Kira to kill, they still won't know for certain who is (the current) Kira. Sooo... It was kinda an unnecessary move for Rem, imo.
Though I watched it for the second time now, it still surprised me how Takumi raised his voice and stood up for himself when Gii "wanted" them to stop meeting. So proud. On the other hand, I never understood characters with a sudden change of behaviour who're not willing to tell their friends or loved ones the cause of their change - Gii simply chose to be cold and ignorant towards them.
WTF was the first half of the episode?! I thought these surreal and cringey parts were over with the beginning of the series...
[Okay, so apparently I wrote a comment earlier after my first watch, so I'm just gonna paste my reaction from my second time watching this episode:
This may be the first episode where an incredibly big nonsense happens. I get that because Yuan Ru is Yuan Zong's sister, the trainees "have to" obey to her, but don't they have humanity (or just common sense) in them to realize Hsia Yao doesn't want to be treated medically - especially not tied to a gym equipment, surrounded by others, and "treated" by a probably (99%) shady conman dressed as a doctor?
Also, Hsia Yao, you had enough rude and childish moments with Yuan Zong, and I could forgive you for all of them. But boi, opening someone else's message on their phone is not cool. Even when they're as close to you as YZ. If you don't get a permission from them, you don't go through someone else's stuff. End of discussion.]
Can we appreciate the confident vibes of the enemy team's twins who are not only actual identical twins but are good at volleyball and are willing to do a little fanservice here and there? :laughing:
Aaand Misa went back almost to square one. How can she believe that Light will love her only if she acts like a slave to him? Girl, even then he won't.
But at least Ryuk is back! :3
I don't like it at all that in these last few episodes their relationship is basically Yuan Zong trying to please Hsia Yao and quietly bear with his childish behaviour, all the while HS is acting like a jealous teenage girl without realizing his feelings.
This show started out really good: both of the men had their principles and masculinity while they grew closer and closer to each other. And now here we are: they did basically everything (and by this I mean YZ did everything for HS), yet HS can't realize YZ's feelings for him - nor his own feelings for YZ. Come on, your mom doesn't even know how do you look anymore because you're literally living in the house of your ""friend""!
Yuan Zong was literally up all night to play the game from the beginning for Hsia Yao, and after HY realizes this, he deletes the game? Poor YZ... (SPOILER for the next episode!) Well, at least HY buys him a jacket.
I wouldn't be surprised if Yuan Zong would've gone deaf for a few minutes after Hsia Yao's never-ending screamings... xD
I don't usualy mention this, but I really like the BGM in this series. It's so original, and that intro definitely burned into my mind with that explosion (both in the clip and the song's start), haha.
OMG, I loved how petty Yuan Zong was standing in front of Da Yu to block his view of Hsia Yao at the training. xD
At the end there's nothing wrong with Yuan Zong's left ear. And I believe when I watched these episodes for the first time, in the next episode it was pretty hard not to notice his chewed ears...

So Hsia Yao needs to stand outside for an hour because he's the brother-in-law of Yuan Zong (well, nope, but ok) to prove that YZ doesn't treat anyone differently? Instructor Shi has a f*cked up logic...
Then YZ (Yuan Ru) gave the order to HY to shower separately from the others, and when he wanted to obey, I. Shi accuses him of tainting YZ's impartial image... Wut?
I would've been extremely concerned about my P standing up if I was YZ in that showering scene that close to HY. xD I think he's already softening up to HY, and not because of his sister but himself and his own feelings which are developing more and more from one episode to another.
When did Hsia Yao get Yuan Zong's number? I thought he found him annoying...

That ending was 12/10 visually pleasing.
I reeeally love the clothes from this series. Hsia Yao's shirts are always on point, but Yuan Ru's tops and dresses are beautiful too!
Haha, she says she'll stay with him even is he's deformed after an acidic accident, even if he's in a vegetative state after a car accident... but immediately has something to do when Hsia Yao lies he has premature ejaculation. That's true love, right there!
Why does that teacher say Xiao Yu Hao has to attend volleyball trainings and even threatens him to do so or else he'll fail from Physics? What does this all have to do with her class? What does she gain with it? [Edit after watching Ep. 3: Okay, apparently she's the coach, but she's never attending the trainings. Still shady TBH.] Just simply send He Cheng En away so he won't disturb her class anymore - don't obligate a student to participate in an activity he doesn't want to take part of.
I had (have) problems with my knees too, but I assure anyone that from a jump they won't hurt like hell that you need to put hot packs on them. Even when mine hurt by simple walking, I didn't limp. Just couldn't climb stairs that fast, but the pain was bearable if I didn't run. (Qiu Zi Xuan surprisingly doesn't even flinch when he walks on the stairs or has to run to rescue Yu Hao, but a one-time jump gives him excruciating pain...)
I don't really approve of the nature of Shingyoji and Misu's dog-and-owner-like relationship, but I can't blame Naito Taiki's character 'cuz damn, Baba Ryouma has a hell of an addictive gaze.
So far the storyline is half childish, half cringey. It just doesn't make any sense (especially Yuan Zong's behaviour from the start), plus it's really slow.
Why don't they go on the steel in the game? Walk on the 2 rods in the middle, hit the glasses on both sides, and that's it!

Eric and Rahim are so adorable! I hope Eric chooses him because although I feel bad for Adam because of his d*ck dad, he still bullied/bullies Eric, and there's no need for a toxic relationship in this show (or anywhere).
The Otis-Ola-Maeve trio is similar too, but I think Otis and everyone can tell that Maeve isn't saying these nicknames ("d*ckhead") seriously, and she's not bullying anyone. And although Ola is more... "normal", I guess, and I like her patience to take things slow, we all know that Otis and Maeve are the ones whose souls belong together, soo...
The first half of the episode was slow and boring for me, I only kept watching to give a chance to the series because I've heard a lot of good about it. And boy, was I not disappointed!
I personally loved the doll, I wonder how much (time and money) could've it taken to create it as well as the room with the hundreds of beds and the optical illusion room.
My favourites so far the old man (001) - who couldn't love him after seeing that he was the first one to continue the game with a wicked smile in the middle of dead bodies? :laughing: -, the North Korean girl (so beautiful! And loved her cheekiness!) and the Indian(?) guy for being a badass and helping out the main protagonist. :muscle:
Yaaas, I'm so glad Otis sees Adam as I do! I honestly don't understand why do people support him over Rahim. Rahim was sweet from the first moment and didn't have a single bad word towards Eric (or anyone else). Maybe Eric feels "special"(?) because the bully started to have feelings for him, but I 100% agree with Otis - Eric hid this fact and their sneak-outs because deep down he, too, knows that Adam is not a good person.
And how glad I am that he realized this and chose Rahim!
I saw that coming from Ola when she accidentally leaned a little close to Lily in the previous episode (or 2 episodes ago?). Though the way she handled things with Otis and Lily... eh, really not the best thing to do. Spontaneousness might have its advantages, but in this episode Ola showed us its downsides. Think before you act.
Jessica is the perfect example why some guys think of girls/women the way they do. She had "special" conversations both with Mark and Barnett, then she was surprised that after she made up her mind and chose the latter, she fell between two stools and got angry when Barnett played the same card on her as she did on Mark. :clap: The devoted guy got dumped by a woman who isn't even worthy of him (by what I saw, at least). Then when she's dumped, she goes back to the devoted guy.
And dudes keep falling for Jessicas.
On a funnier note... Is Rory every guy's best friend or relationship coach or what? xD I wanna see him spitting that wisdom to girls too, not just the guys!
Felice's friend tying her hair up too when only she (Felice) was asked to do so was sooo considerate and cute of her!! :hearts: This little detail is so important in series, it shows how they not only continue with the main plot(s), but they also care about the "smaller" topics that were discussed too.

The glances and interactions between the boys are amazing. I especially liked the scene in the gym when Wille "changed his mind" (not that he ever disliked what happened between him and Simon); his pacing and gaze were brilliant. I have no idea how does the actor do that, but he can sell it so well that his character is genuinely into Simon.
He's also super good with acting natural, like that pretend-annoyed "uuurghh" when his bro was asking about his crush or that above mentioned little nervous pacing before and while talking to Simon about staying with him. :blush:
Loving the humane details in the show like daring to choose actors with not-so-flawless skin/teeth/whatever. However I really didn't like the random plottwist at the very end. It's just too much drama now, cut the characters some slack...
This looks like a suuuper unhealthy relationship.
Wait, how is the police guy back to being number 29 with the circle when he switched that mask to be the square boss? And if he's switching masks, how come no one notices that one disappears one day and the other disappears the other day (and this going back and forth)?
I hope that placing the cross on (most likely) his brother's casket was for trying to save him, not for paying respects or something. [Edit after seeing the beginning of the next episode: nvm, I misunderstood it.]
So basically everyone either ends up heartbroken or dead. Cool story.
