Fantastic episode!
The newly-revealed relationship with Teri, the "Tony" persona, the internalized transphobia, they all add nuance and complexity to Donny's character, showing how his low self-worth and unmet needs for acceptance and affection have allowed Martha to bulldoze his boundaries, with gradually escalating transgressions leading up to her sexual assault on him.
This show has a grip on me. During the first episode I already knew the story is true, but afterwards I discovered that the main character is portrayed by the real person, the man who lived the story. Watching this second episode, knowing Donny “is actually Donny”… This is undeniably a unique form of art I've never seen before.
Martha shows signs of manic behavior, all consistent with bipolar disorder: the grandiose lies, the giddiness, the pressured speech, the persistent sexually inappropriate remarks, the disorganized home etc.
This episode is not airing on Disney+ in the U.S. and Canada because they've demed it inappropriate to depict child birth. The other episode removed 1 season made sense cause they were using a derogatory word, but this is ridiculous. It's a good episode and kids don't need to be sheltered from this.
I feel like I live this episode everyday with my strong-willed son.
this episode would not exist if there werent any sensitive men in this world!
malakai and amerie pls be endgame im begging
I’m not even going to lie. At this point I’m interested in Missy and Spider’s relationship the most. I love the enemies-to-lovers dynamic and their chemistry and banter is great! There’s just nothing cuter than a boy who hates the whole world going soft for one girl and trying to be a better person for her. In any case, a lot of the other couples are simply not giving me anything right now, so I’m kinda living off of their crumbs.
The only other couple with potential at the moment are Ant and Harper; they have such ‘black cat x golden retriever’ energy and it’s absolutely adorable! I ship them so much <3
More everybody, and less Amerie, please. She is so annoying.
It is hard to pick but I think this is my favorite Bluey episode. Its hard to say goodbye to good friends but it is important to focus on the good times you had with them and then it all sort of works out.
Gotta appreciate that they all floss in the tooth related episode :D
Cash is honestly such a complete sweetheart, and I hate that Darren would doubt him like this and that he wasn’t supporting him in this moment. All Cash did was try to do the right thing…
I dunno, I just really feel like Cash loves Darren so much more than the other way around, and Cash does deserve to be fully loved too. I don’t like that Cash always has to proof himself…
P.S. I know Ant isn’t always the smartest boy out there, but he’s actually so adorable. I can’t help but love him after that scene with Harper:heart:
cash please tell me that smile means what i think it means
I’ve caught glimpses of some Bluey but this is the first I saw in full and with full attention as my niece asked me to watch with her, and while what I saw before was good, this really showed me what the appeal of this show is. It’s a totally earnest look at the perseverance of the human spirit through the lens of young children, where everything is the biggest deal ever and the biggest challenge. Their bodies and brains aren’t fully developed yet. Everything they conquer is an accomplishment. It says without beating you over the head, ‘isn’t it amazing?’ And that’s just really sweet and kind to look at kids, especially younger ones, that way. This could stand alone as its own short, and the music really tied it all together.
The walking leaf bit was so sweet. My son loved it.
That was so fucking cute.
Cash is cleary Asexual i wish Darren would understand that
what a terrible friend harper is. AWFUL person.
The guy, who plays Cash, is really good. He can perfectly give back the feelings of the character with every facial expression.
god i wish i was amerie
"Are you saying to be ashamed of our bodies? a naked body has been appreciated for centuries as a piece of art" Sure, we're not talking about art are we? If your memory is of a goldfish and you need a refresher: we're talking about the shitty pictures of your private parts you send to someone and how not to regret it later. This is not about the Birth of Venus. Why are the writers playing it as if it's the moment to show off their fake wokeness? Like,,, come on, everyone in that SLT class, especially the girls, should know that the teacher was talking about the dangers of your nude appearing in the hand of someone you wouldn't want your nudes to be. How it can ruin lives and not just while still in high school.
I don’t like the gen z stuff tbh like yes it’s written by gen z but the way they’re acting is over the top like no one says that irl only online
Overhyped episode. Nothing new was said. This is like one of those reality reunion episode. I'm not a fan of the format.
This is all insanely upsetting. A lot of this is new to me. I didn’t know about half of these shows. The whole thing is well done with the interviews and how everything flows.
One thing that bothers me is that they decided to censor the words shit, dick and cumshot. Why? It’s fucking HBO and you’re angry. You have a story to tell. Don’t censor any of it. Especially when the whole thing went into some extreme detail and these are the words you censor? It doesn’t make sense.
Holy shit. What an absolutely shitty thing to do to a person and his family. I feel sorry for Drake and his father. His father sounded like such a good person. Huge respect for drake coming forward and telling his story, I can only imagine how hard it was.
Horrible to see, very interesting.
I’m so damn proud of Wille for finally calling out his useless, disgusting parents.
However, it was really difficult to see Simon choose that exact moment to break Wille’s heart further by ending it between them. I understand things aren’t really working out with their relationship, and I truly feel like neither of them is at fault for that, but Simon definitely needed to just be there for Wille right now and discuss their break-up at a different time.
It’s just frustrating because I know Simon can be really soft and gentle and sweet sometimes, but he can also act really selfishly. I honestly just think Wilhelm has always loved Simon more than the other way around and it often shows in their actions…
P.S. I kind of hate myself for loving Sara and August as a couple, but I do. I should wish them nothing but heartache and loneliness after what they did, but I somehow still get sucked in because of August’s complete and utter devotion to her. He seems to love and adore her so much, I just can’t help but want them together.
I can’t believe nobody has bitch-slapped that slimy arsehole Vincent yet. I mean, just LOOK at that face, LOOK at that haircut: doesn’t he just scream “punch me”?
Girl please stop lying !!! today felt bit slow
