Our little ghostbusters may not be well prepared for the task this season seems to bring upon them.
Oh dear Q; these are always my least favourite. 6 is a kind score. You'd think Q would have pushed them homewards a bit quicker.. why wouldn't Janeway even ask??
Q episodes are usually pretty good. This isn't one of the strongest ones though.
Yeah agree with other comments. This show is just phoning it in now. No action no drama. Just long drawn out scenes. What happened to the energy of the first few seasons?
I'm not feeling any chemistry whatsoever between the captain and her first officer, which is disappointing. Michael (it will take some time getting used to that silly name) is too rebellious and emotionally volatile for my liking. Maybe I'm just too attached to TNG... It is only the first episode, after all, the show needs to breathe and find its own pace, so we can get in tune with it. Still unsure about then "new" Klingons, though. Time will tell if the redesign will prove its worth or if we'll just shrug and get used to it.
Regardless, it was a solid start, I admit I was expecting worse, in light of the recent movies.
First episode was funny and entertaining, like a (slightly) more serious episode of "American Dad" (but in space!), it showed potential. But I could barely get a laugh out of this second one, the story was so uninteresting and rushed, only the ending made me chuckle. It felt like a step back. Anyway, I'm still curious to see how things will develop in the next few episodes.
Every episode the differences between books and tv show are getting bigger and bigger. Ok, I know some differences (not all of them) are because of show's budget but I hate to see them.
I almost get to sleep.
Welp, I have a new favorite episode of Twin Peaks.
Much like the people disappearing in this episode, so is my attention span.
It´s been so long since I last watched it I´d forgotten how good this show was from the beginning. There were already some really good stories, some I even consider to be among the best of the complete run of the show.
The more I watch The Americans, the more afraid I become of Keri Russell.
So, who liked that Liv? RAWR!!
Also, two "Veronica Mars" regulars making a special appearance in the same episode, what a nostalgic treat!
Also also, Oasis, Muse and Pearl Jam? Even the soundtrack for this particular episode was a treat!
totally love this episode! great to see that there is still in individual inside the borg
Colm Meaney and John C Reilly are not the same person. Yeah, I just learned that. Mind blown.
Such a real topic, terrorism is something history as much as modern times deals with, struggles with and is failing to resolve.
has some profound things to say about the human condition. unfortunately prefers to preach more than an after-school special
Most people praise the visuals, but I still find them so tacky and irritating, and they just look so cheap :s
I doubt I'm going to bother with additional episodes... wasn't very engaging for it's extended runtime and it got quite laughable towards the end (couldn't it be more staged?).
Geeze Teddy just can't catch a break can he?
For the most part this season was great. I just can't get fully on board with the whole blood sucking ninja cult thing and the zombie children. I would have preferred if they had just kept the season revolving more around the Punisher. I really love his character and how he makes Matt question his own morals and the way he deals with things.
By the rules established in this episode, couldn't the sane Lazarus just commit suicide or destroy his ship? Wouldn't that be preferable to the plan he came up with?
conflicted twist towards a dire outcome. the kill gets done whle they're still around. all the more paige will hate 'em and then the real damage goes beyond repair
Absolutely incredible, one of the most heartbreaking moments in the Breaking Bad universe. Never in a million years I'd have expected something like this - always thought Howard was the safest character.
Nacho's death was sort of easy to process since there was so much vindication and control about it, but this was the polar opposite - Howard gets ridiculed, only to then get offed basically for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
When Lalo looked at the cockroach, I instantly knew he'd look for Jimmy, just never expected it being so soon. Visual storytelling at its finest.
With this episode, I realized I also changed my perspective on Saul's future as Gene - where I used to feel sort of sorry for him after seeing how he thrives in his heyday, it more and more seems like where things were headed all along. Best character development on TV as always, and masterful storytellers all around.
Brilliant sound design, although a little unbelievable that those characters would have been so quiet all those times lol
