If rock is not your choice of music, skip this movie... but if you grew up in the 80s, you should appreciate the music, fun and experience portrayed in this movie.
This movie rocked!
This movie is weird. It's not great but it's not as bad as the rep suggests. It's kind of nuts. Like...crazy. As in, in the first five minutes we almost see boobs and....the back of Will Smith's sack? How weird was that?! Plus I don't even know where to begin with how this movie "has fun" with the race issue. Odd choices.
Watched this for We Hate Movies. really hoping they shed some light on the weird amount of near nudity in the first five.
I loved the cast but the film is a bit of a jumble for me. I understand the approach and why it was made to appeal to Gen Y, but it all felt a bit cliche and try-hard. Strangely throughout the film I saw glipses of An American Tale - Fivel Goes West and Life. Don't even get me started on the mechanical tarantula.
Why the hate?
Is the source material so sacred that everybody is pissed because this is too American or something?
I liked it. There are remakes of Japanese movies that are much worse.
It isn't that bad, on a premises of completely forgetting the original manga/anime and instead thinking of this as an american spin-off.
The cinematography was very pleasant.
Story a bit shallow, maybe because we're so used to western pictures. This was turned from something very dark and profound to a want-to-be smart romance supernatural story.
It is although worth a watch.
In this adaptation, Light screams like a girl. That's all I can say.
Loved it!
Starting from the blurry scenes in the beginning when Lucifer was drunk to the scene where he finally shows his true self to Linda. Even the scene with Maze and Trixie was nicely played out. Sure Maze looked scarier than THE DEVIL but what the hell, it was still good. The story is finally moving on… towards what one would expect after reading the title.
Watching all the bad writing in most of the previous episodes finally paid up!
Hope they won’t ruin it with the next one…
Amazing episode! totally unexpected twist at the end!!! love this show!
Loved that angry Lucifer, seriously. A very interesting episode this one.
When Uriel appeared wearing a trench
coat and Lucifer said something along the lines of "trench coats are less of brooding angels" and more like "pedophile chic", I immediately thoughtI about Cas and immediately thought of Cas. Couldn't help but laugh my a** off!
Girls night out, boys night out... This was one of the funniest episodes of the show, so far! Douche-cam!
Mother and children, hmm. "The bag or life, does anyone choose life?
Lynch is just great here
Good to see you Mr. Sweeney!
Poor Maia. Almost everybody wants to make her the bad girl.
this episode features a cameo from Stan Lee.
This show is a good additional to the Marvel universe. Peggy is just the best. Fun comic book style action set in the "golden years". Old cool spy stuff.
I like how it uses characters and plot points from the movies, but doesn't indulge in them. (Vita Rays, Vanko, Jarvis).
It is a little odd to set it before the start of the one-shot. Now I'm just waiting for that to happen. Soon I hope, I'm sick of all the dudes mansplaining Peggy. I know that's how it was but still.
I also hope they spin off the Betty Carver show. Captain America sounds dashing in it.
"You're supposed to be blond."
"That's what everyone keeps telling me!"
I admit it -- I lol'ed.
It was great seeing that Chloe's family is also dysfunctional, and Lucifer also feeling like he could relate to the victim's son's feelings.
The best part was Maze and Trixie's scenes together... now that is a friendship I really want to happen :D Also Linda and Maze :D
i was a bit worried when Lucca and Colin were in the car - thank god he was sensible and pulled over!!!!!!!!!! lol
Lucca: "Why do you need funds for that?"
Felix: "Why do you need funds for that dress?"
Lucca: "Because I don't wanna end up in that jacket"
Tormund better be alive. I haven't been shipping him and Brienne for nothing...
The Good Wife left me wanting more, and to my surprise they delivered.
After 10 superb episodes I keep wanting more from them, they took the best from The Good Wife and made The Good Fight with a lot more at stake and keeping you at the edge of your seat. A familiar feel but a more exhilarating pace, one that The Good Wife did not have which makes it different and honestly keeps you hooked. I loved The Good Wife and they ended it on a high note in my opinion, with this they deliver a new story with more punch. The introduction of the new characters with multiple story lines just keeps you wanting more.
This must not be missed - The Good Fight - stop reading a go watch it, can't wait for Season 2!
F*ck you Kresteva! (Bravo Matthew Perry)
This show gets better and better.
The difference between this show and TGW is that in the latter personal storylines were just as good as day-to-day cases and here cases are just brilliant but I find personal arcs to be way weaker. However I just loved this episode because it features a great, great meta case, fewer scenes of this Rindell case, the usual moral grey zones from the firm the Kings are so good at, and Tascioni !!! And I think that Echo-like device always listening may hint where they are going just a hunch!
oh well that escalated quickly

Maybe, it didn't go as well as it could've been, but the story itself is quite refreshing. Besides, Daniel Radcliffe hasn't made me think of Harry Potter even for a moment, and that means a lot!
My feelings about Serena are so drastically contradictory. On the one hand, I love her. She's a strong, smart, confident woman and I cheer when she stands up for herself. On the other hand, she's helping promote these horrible ideals and standards that belittle women and keep them oppressed (herself included) Girl, what are you doing?
Also, people do such horrible, monstrous things in the name of God and religion. And not only in fiction, but in reality too. Such savages. And such hypocrites. Making up any sort of excuses to justify all their wrongdoings and suit their own needs and interests.
But I loved that Canada is depicted as the place where people are rational and kind, in opposition to the crazies that have control of the US. I wonder if the writers did that on purpose or if it's like that in the book . Maybe the author of the book had some kind of premonition LOL
You know that feeling when you see a new movie and you feel you have seen everything before?!?
Well...The Secret Life of Pets gives me that feeling in spades. It's not that it looks or sounds bad, it's not that characters aren't funny, but everything feels so damn uninspired...
The voices are the worst offender. Everything sounds the same, and you get the feeling the voice actors were very bored when doing this movie.
The animation gets a pass as it's not bad, but there's a whole lot of movies out there at the moment that does things better.
The story isn't all that good, but at least it wasn't all that boring. I actually laughed out loud at a couple of gags. The thing is...I've seen most of the gags in other movies.
I can't really recommend this one, but if you have someone around you that wants to see it, you won't die from watching it...
