This is it folks, this is peak television. What we have here is one of the most gut wrenching and masterfully crafted episodes ever brought to screen. Absolutely fucking phenomenal with career best performances from Murray Bartlett and Nick Oferman. Holy shit this will stick with me.
I just LOVE how so many people are butthurt by this episode. Just goes to show how much this is still needed in our world. This was a masterpiece in storytelling.
The only thing I didn't like about this episode was that Bill died, meaning we didn't get to see him interact with Ellie, which was a wonderful part of the original game.
Aside from that, this episode is near faultless. It's the most original thing the show has done so far, by taking a side character from the game and fleshing out his backstory. It's deep, it's emotional, and it's a joy to watch.
Anyone complaining about wokeness and forced LGBT content has no clue what they're talking about. Bill and Frank were always a couple, even in the game. It's just that we didn't meet Frank in the game because he was already gone. Literally the only part of any of this episode that is not faithful to the source material is the fact that Bill died before Joel and Ellie got there.
10, 10, 10, 10's across the board.
Free guy is every gamers / nerds wet dream! The jokes, the scenes it's so familiar and the acting is amazing. Also a few bonuses but I won't spoiler them for you. Go see it, you won't be disappointed!!
What a great movie! It wasn't a good movie, it was a great movie.

"Directed by Jonathan Frakes". Guest stars aren't always in front of the camera :)
Also, Charlize Theron <3
Up next, Natalie Portman? Besides the episode itself, guest stars are becoming something to look forward in "The Orville".
This show has turned up to be quite a pleasant surprise, it's undeniably very "Star Trek" at heart. It feels odd to admit that, as a Star Trek fan, I'm actually enjoying this more than "Star Trek: Discovery".
A harrowing episode with excellent writing and directing that makes for a very accurate portrayal of what goes on in those first few hours after a loved one dies.
Additional note: There is no background music anywhere in this entire episode.
The whole season was a solid 6/10. But finale was rushed and mediocre at best, A solid 3/10. I don't mind Harrison killing Dexter. But their encounter and conversation was so off and bizarre. The only character that was properly utilized was Angela.
P. S. : I can understand Dexter's willingness to die for his son. But I couldn't see the need for harrison to kill Dexter. Just my personal opinion.
I have no idea what drunken person described Knights of the Zodiac to the screenwriters.
One of the best episodes I have ever seen in any TV show. Chilling.
If you haven't watched Star Trek (original and next generation) and Babylon 5, then you just haven't watched real space sci-fi yet. B5 is the best space series up to now. You just want more...
This must be the best episodes of TV Noone wants to watch, it really slowly and thoroughly punches you in the gut. It's really unexpected that a fantasy show about super heroes and monsters made one of the most realistic portrayals of death. Willow and especially Anya really are the ones that completely kill me. Hannigan and Caulfield really outdid themselves, how they never even got nominated for some big awards is beyond me.
Amazzzziinnnggg animated/real movie! I love the fact that Disney & Warner Bros animators teamed up and did an outstanding job!
Fuck, this was a bit of a letdown. I was so hyped. The book was so good. The trailer seemed good. They just cut out too many moments and too many people. It felt so fake, especially Nora and Zahra's characters, and how they reacted to things was just awkward.
Everything was way too rushed.
It had its good moments but damn, I'm dissapointed.
One of my favorites. Cast was awesome. General Hummel played by Ed Harris was excellent. Sean Connery was badass.
Not as immaculately crafted as Ryan Murphy's true-story series like ACS or Feud, and sometimes rough around the edges (contrived melodramatic plot turns, a few instances of performances, etc.) but it may be his most full-hearted series yet, which counts for a lot. The LGBTQ+ (especially trans) representation in front of and behind the camera is really felt, as it invests a lot of standard story beats with authenticity and insight, making them feel new in the moments again. What can run the risk of going into misery if told through outsider eyes becomes more about living in a harsh world with joy and love instead.
Another prime example of how a cleverly edited trailer with a big name attached can mislead you.
Probably the longest 104 minutes of my life.
This movie has everything, good actors, good direction, a good soundtrack... I've seen it so many times and still have fun watching it! I have never said this but... thank you Mr. Bay! :P
Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a technical marvel, a handcrafted spectacle, arguably the peak of traditional animation. It's also a superb piece of film-making.
The story and script is fantastic and timeless, and can be enjoyed by both kids and adults... And I don't mean that in the same way you'd describe modern Pixar and Dreamworks films, essentially childrens flicks with a few dirty jokes... I mean each of these characters have their own story to tell. Children can relate to Roger Rabbit, a simple, carefree goofball, thrown in the thick of a murder investigation as the prime suspect. Adults though will relate to Eddie Valiant, a detective past his prime, beat down by the demons of his past. Their stories will keep you hooked from start to finish.
To this day, the biggest blockbuster family films continue to attempt to replicate this films success. As long as they're driven by box office goals though, they'll never succeed. This swansong to animation and childhood is one of the few films that boast true soul, from its characters, cast and crew.
Watched through this show a few years ago. Absolutely brilliant in its first 4 seasons but it fell away in the final season. One of the best Sci-fi shows
I'm confused...is this love triangle necessary?? Isn't this a family show? I'm not even a prude and find this message completely unnecessary. Who does that? Who breaks up a marriage on the day of a wedding. From the beginning she's juggling these two guys and when they stop fighting for her she gets jealous and breaks them up.
Since when is having no morals ok? Ridiculous.
Season finale. I hope they renew it. As Kelly says it is not only technology that has to advance, people also
A great ending to the first season of the surprise show of the year (well, for me, at least).
Messing around with the Prime Directive was always fun in Star Trek and, as expected, it was fun in The Orville, too. Though this episode does borrow a lot from a few specific Star Trek episodes, I don't see it as something bad or as some sort of cop-out, but as a tribute done right. The Orville is like a covers album of Star Trek, but one done with care, love and respect. Long gone is the satire show everyone was expecting ("Family Guy in space", as I thought of it myself, at the beginning of the season). What we got, instead, was something that easily fits the Star Trek lore. The Orville will never be part of Star Trek (though I'm still waiting/praying for Patrick Stewart to show up as Jean-Luc Picard in some weird quasi-crossover), but as I watch each episode I actually keep forgetting that this is not Star Trek. Thats "mission accomplished" in my book.
Well done, Seth! Looking forward to the second season, it cannot come soon enough!
It made sense to have tuvok lose his fight against the collective because of his security clearance but isn’t Vulcans supposed to have strong minds?? Either way I enjoy a good game of strategy between Janeway and the borg queen. Was tired of all the kazon and viidians of the earlier seasons
I watched it and 20 hours later I'm still wondering...
Why?
This new queer movie was quietly released this past week and I think it’s absolutely worth a watch! Gary (Zachary Quinto) is a divorced gay man facing the end of his life who has finally decided to try to live a gay life. He hires Cameron (Lucas Gage) for a “massage” and things quickly go WAY off the rails as Cameron tries to thrust Gary into gay hookup culture. As absolutely madcap as this gets (an accidental death, the dark web, and an Ambien-riddled neighbor), the cast stays very small and focused, and ultimately culminates in a surprisingly emotional ending.
Lucas Gage is hilarious as an overt gay “guide” to Quinto’s straight man - watching their relationship develop is one of the biggest joys of this movie. Well, that, and Judith Light as a drug-addled neighbor who just needed to borrow some flour. She’s a gem.
Big improvement over the first two episodes. Still doesn't have the pacing, or the humor, of the movies, but now at least it's getting there.
