The story behind this movie is interesting. It was going to be a VOD but got bought Freestyle Releasing a week before release and they decided to do a theatrical release. Got delayed from last fall to this summer. Not sure why, this movie wasn't a clear box office hit, but maybe it had to do with the success of the shallows, another shark movie staring a female.
As for the movie I thought it was ok. I thought the beginning was slow and I never really cared for any of the other characters besides Mandy Moore's. Once they got into the water things got a little more interesting. The twist was smart. I thought she was hallucinating hearing her sister. When she found her I thought "This is stupid, there's no way shes alive" Then the ascend to the top, I guess flares keep sharks away. When they are on the boat and they cut back to her still in the cage I was a little surprised, they got me. Pretty good twist.
Best episode this season so far. The first half was super intense. I hope we see Nikki and Mr. Wrench again. I instantly recognized the bowling alley as none other than the one in The Big Lebowski. Loved the scene between her and "God" shot the same way as when the dude meets the stranger. Can't wait for next weeks to see what Varga is going to do when he finds out about Emmit.
This episode reminded me a lot of Atlanta. Not many shows can pull off having an episode on characters we don't know but this show can.
Surprising good movie. Very interesting concept and Aaron Taylor-Johnson was great. How did the sniper shoot John Cena, he cant see him.
There's not a lot of laughs and its very cliche. At least you get to see Amy Schumer's tit but it still wasn't that good.
Was a lot of fun. The first fight scene was great. Soundtrack wasn't as strong as the first IMO. A lot of beautiful shots with bright colors. Yondu's death was sad. Ego was a decent villain. Didn't quite understand why he was destroying the universe. Already looking forward to the next one but we have infinity war first.
EDIT: Watching again for Infinity War and it is still great. Beautiful and funny and still surprising emotional.
Brandy, you're a fine girl...
Great to see Martha back. I wonder how the Henry storyline goes. Maybe they let him go to school because they don't want him involved in what they do. Gaberial said Paige should of never be involved.
This movie was before it's time with the amount of protest on college campuses now a days. Just not really that funny.
This raises some interesting questions about privacy and human behavior. Its a little scary that we are not to far away from something like this in real life. I can't help but think of how fake everyone acts when they know they are on camera. People are who they really are when no one is watching and if you take that away then no one is real or unique. I understand if you have nothing to hid then who cares if someone watches but its always in the back of people's minds that you private life isn't really private.
Emma Watson was great and believable character and Tom Hanks plays a great "villain" wish he would do some more "evil" roles. Ellar Coltrane is pretty awful, I know he was the boy in Boyhood who we saw grow up but hes not a very good actor. John Boyega was not in this movie enough and wish his character was explored more. Would of been interesting to see how someone who invented this technology deals with himself and the repercussions of his invention.
Very fun movie. Simple concept, gun deal goes bad and everyone has a gun and they start shooting at each other. It was unintentionally (or maybe intentional) funny some of the situations the people get into. Short runtime made it an easy watch. Brie Larson is a babe.
Great first episode setting up the rest of the season. Noah Hawley is a great director. He has a lot of great shots. Very unique storytelling and interesting music. I really like seeing ewan mcgregor play two roles. I think ray could be a real fun character. I'm interested in varga and how his organization will slowly take over stussy. Great to see Carrie coon doing another phenomenal show, I love her in the leftovers. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is awesome as usual and that ass...
This is such an unexpected offbeat weird and perfect episode. This is one of those episodes that will be talked about for a long time.
That blizzard scene was intense. There is a supernatural event going on in this episode.
Hmm... That ice scrapper looks awfully familiar.
"Keep your friends close but your enemies toaster" lmao never get sick of hearing new rickyisms
Its exactly what I expected from a reboot. Nice call backs to the original series but still different enough to make it its own thing. Could of used more zord fighting but there is always the next movie. Bryan Cranston is good as Zordon, its cool he was able to come back after he was two monsters in the show. We get to see the real green ranger next movie.
A woman in politics is like a donkey doing calculus. Hilary Clintion hates freedom
First time we meet Artemis and Carmen. She still has a dick.
its funny seeing mac bang a chick when we know hes gay
When Kevin was sleeping with Vs mom I cracked up. Fucking Casper. Lol
