Alec Baldwin as Mr Collins from Pride & Prejudice.
Mona was like the best girl he dated, she put up with so much and was actually interested in all the fossil stuff
I'm convinced none of you know what 'filler' actually means, this episode was a banger, not the best episode but a certified banger still. Got context for Lady Ochiba, more romance between Blackthorne & Mariko (their chemistry is actually very strong), more behind the scenes politics with the council and a great set up for 'Crimson Sky'. Another great episode!
I'm guessing rainow:rainbow: color (with the music).
Only color that whould have made perfect sense.
*Quotes*
Niles: Sylvia, they're on their honeymoon. Your daughter is not here, why are you?
Sylvia Fine: I smell bacon!
Niles: Well, it must be coming from next door.
Sylvia Fine: Well, I don't know them.
Niles: I had so much to drink at the reception. I had the strangest nightmare that Santa Claus was trying to have his way with me.
C.C. Babcock: [Enter a hungover CC in a red housecoat with white trim] Oh my God. We didn't, did we?
Niles: Well, I'm not sure. Say ho ho ho.
C.C. Babcock: No one can ever know that this might possibly have happened.
Niles: Well, it ain't going on my resume.
Sylvia Fine: Well of course, I can't talk if my mouth is full.
Niles: I'll make the omelets.
C.C. Babcock: I'll make the pancakes.
*Goofs*
After Maxwell rips the bottom of Fran's nightgown off, the bottom of the shortened skirt has a visible stitched hemline.
Omg when she swallowed… I was like what kind of Disney/Pixar movie is this :sweat_smile::sweat_smile:
I'm not crying. You're crying. runs away sobbing
Issac's stag part was absolutely hilarious. Definitely one of the more funny episodes.
“If you look and see nothing… you must simply look harder.” I love Kiku’s bits of wisdom
The only thing I'm not liking about this show, is how many episodes we have left till the end, this story has been nothing but Epic
The best part of this episode was Isaac learning that dinosaurs do exist and being obsessed with them the whole time. Brandon Scott Jones really nailed Isaac's first bewilderment then wonder and excitement. Also, it was funny when Isaac complained that no one came to check on him after he fell two stories
Rest in peace, Lance Reddick.
This was such an excellent episode!
It was most definitely a deep and expansive foundational narrative for the whole saga. The nuances, the meaning, spiritual significance, and subtleties I fear of certain acts of this episode are lost to the viewer.
I would imagine the significance would only reveal itself to those that have read Clavell's book prior to watching this amazingly crafted miniseries.
My hope is more of Clavell's Asian Saga is made with the same detail and love that Shōgun is clearly made and acted.
My further wish is this beautifully crafted series challenges others to put their heart and soul into future movies/series that rivals the quality we have in this miniseries. While at the same time putting the sword to the trash we've had to endure as quality entertainment enthusiasts seeking our next love, and yet being disappointed time and time again.
Oh, to watch the love of your life walk towards you across a field of grass, while the sun is rising and the birds are singing. Knowing how much they love you, and finally being able to tell them that you love them too.
"Wait. Who's Maggie? The big one?" Brilliant.
Just back from seeing Elvis and honestly if Austin Butler wants to walk, talk and dress like him for the rest of his life he can. That film was AMAZING and I know I’ll be thinking about it for weeks. Can we have the bluray now so I can do rewatch after rewatch? :sparkles:
Absolutely superb. The hours Austin Butler must have spent studying Elvis to get every mannerism and nuance spot on does not bear thinking about.
Oscar winning performance for me
I feel like this is exactly what people mean when they say they want an original live-action princess movie instead of all the remakes!
The movie seemed to combine the vibes of a classical fairy tale with heavy doses of the adventure, fantasy and horror genre, while also adding a modern, feminist twist. And I gotta say, the end result was actually pretty cool.
P.S. Am I the only one who kind of wants a dragon sidekick now?
Sad for the female dragon, her lineage has ended. I hope she finds a male in Elodi's country and reproduces again.
AAAAAAHHHHH omg they’re so cute I can’t wait to see their relationship evolve
The opening scene would've been hilarious with a better punchline.
Murray Bartlett was clearly going for an Australian version of John Cleese.
Overall, below average banal satire.
Boring and annoying is my take of this first episode. Doubt I will see the rest.
Niles: [dragging C.C. into the parlour] Come, come.
C.C. Babcock: Niles, what could be so damn important?
[he points to Leslie and Fran]
Fran, Leslie: [perfect unison] Hi!
C.C. Babcock: Good God, it's multiplying!
Wow, I haven't laughed so hard at this show since last season. Oh wait…
Niles bumped the phone in Maxwell's office off the hook before leaving with Cece? That's odd. (It's also back in place when seen later from another camera angle.)
That Lion King reference was super topical, considering the film had been out less than three months when this episode aired.
I also like the microphone on Brighton's desk. Wonder what it's for… or maybe it's a radio, like the one my dad got me a while back.
Am I the only one who thinks comedy/sitcoms were better in general when they didn´t grew on trees?
Up to today "The Nanny" still is one of my all time favs. Although you knew from the start of the show were it would lead, and although they were using about every possible cliché, the characters grew on me and I not only watched for the good comedy it was but to see how the story and the characters evolved.
Today, whenever I happen to find an episode running, and it is still running somewhere, I can´t resist to watch.
Stop waisting your life not doing cocaïne, LMAO.
Incredible action sequences. Puts Indiana Jones to shame. Must see in theaters. Maybe twice.
Would have been better if Helena wasn't an annoying douche bag for the 1st hour
“Who’s Mrs. Robinson?”, lol.
"you ate the porridge because you didn't want to die"
Also surprised to see the aftermath of a death of an infant actually addressed
