Nice to watch a comedy that doesn't have to simply resort to foul language, idiocy and crudeness to try to get laughs. I thought it actually had some really funny moments and the wife and I enjoyed it.
Rewatched this movie not too long ago the comedy still holds up. This movie is definitely gold.
When the spin off is better than the original.
It’s always exciting to see a talented actor on screen such as Matthias, and he takes control of his character well, who is very talented at opening vaults and has a funny quirky personality that you will like in an instant. His crew are an odd bunch trailing behind the star of the show.
It’s probably better than Army of the Dead if memory serves me right. And those cgi of the vault mechanics were imagined really well, some talented people have worked on this part.
Now that was very fun and funny and loved matthias character and gives so much more meaning to his character for the sequel that i feel wasn’t has good as this, by far better than army of dead.
I enjoy Tom Hanks movies as well as fun robot movies like Short Circuit. This one nails quite a few things and does so w emotion w a good heaping of levity when needed.
Very enjoyable. 8.4
Another great movie with limited cast. Only he can pull these off. Recommend highly.
I liked it a lot but it's painfully slow and too long for an introduction.
Too much social commentary, not enough horror (or suspense). Easily the least impressive Peele production.
copy past from the danish movie with the same name, shit on them
I'm starting to understand why it's important to have good actors.
I have a feeling this movie (and all Purge movies) will one day be pointed to as having predicted the future of the USA.
Super Fun and a glimpse into the America Trump and his supporters want.
This was John Cena's best movie. one of the comedies of 2021!
It was great seeing my cousin Travis Love on the big screen once again! I laughed so hard!:joy:
Funnier than I thought it would be. Just don't take it too seriously.
I enjoyed the trilogy, the second was my favourite and the first half of the 3rd film.
It had its ups and downs, but overall enjoyable to watch.
Certainly something different to have a story in 3 films, which were released about a month apart. I also enjoyed that they had a twist which wasn’t revealed until almost half way through the finale.
My main gripe is the parts in modern day, didn’t match up to standards with the rest, it was more childish and satire and I wasn’t sure if they remembered who the target audience was. I felt like I was watching something completely different and not connected to the rest.
Overall, I’d still recommend watching.
My ratings for each of the trilogy:
1) 1994 - 7
2) 1978 - 8
3) 1966 - 1st half 8 - 2nd half 7
Another in a growing list of low budget, poorly acted, made-for-tv productions using the Bruce Willis “brand” to attract viewers who then discover Willis’ role is minimal and his performance is completely lack lustre.
The worst of the franchise. I hope the next one is the last.
People that are comparing this to John Wick need to go back and watch John Wick. This doesn't even come close.
A story you have seen before, but with a career best turn from Hart and a witty, emotional script, this is still worth a watch.
This movie is god awful. The storyline is just terrible. It's a complete bore. And it's a shame that they waste such a good cast. The final act is just plain bizarre. The entire movie I kept thinking that I would rather be watching Rear Window, or even Disturbia.
We have seen this story again and again at different movies but it is OK. The action is good. Enjoyable.
It started off good, but it fell flat at the end. I was hoping the ending would be a little more cleaver, but it was boring and predictable.
You would think after they found out about the police tapping their phones, they would get burner phones or something.
this movie makes breach looks like a good film.... at least is not pretentious like this garbage.... WTF is happening?Who are allowing bad stuff like this to happen to begin with?
Despite all the good critics that I read I didn't like it. Is touching and at times funny, yes, but at the end was just a stupid love story with some fantasy ending for me.
I know it’s practically the beginning of the year. But I’m gonna call it, movie of the year. Nic Cages roll of his career. Don’t miss it. 10/10
:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
This has major Rogue One vibes blended with Firefly, Star Trek, and a good solid dose of Bebop. Very enjoyable, and I can’t wait to see if we get anything else in this universe.
I’m so sick of getting excited by watching the trailer and then being disgusted by the actual movie
One of the funnier movies of the year
Pretty joyful and entertaining , mostly because of Vince Vaughn , his scenes were hilarious
A bloody good time
