I kinda wish Adora saved Catra through friendship and less She-ra magic. But this was pretty cute too.
SCORE: 7/10
I'm convinced that Glimmer has a concussion from a recent knock to the head. That girl is bugging OUT omg! Girlfriend needs to listen to her friends and stop being so controlling. Geez.
There were so many examples of this show exceeding the bounds of a kids show but this episode was an absolute masterpiece in it's writing, narration, and content. I still love how even the silly startings of certain episodes can turn so serious by the end.
Glimmer is getting more and more annoying... I think Adora is right in this argument and I'm so sorry for her!
catra would sell you scorpia for a single cornchip and scorpia would apologize for costing you a cornchip and get you a new one
Madame Razzle is such an iconic character! I love seeing her again
LOOOOOVEE the Scorpia/Adora dynamic, something I didn't know I needed
I didn't know it was going in that direction but I'm excited to see what's next
That episode was one of my favourite since the beginning of the show
Catra needs for validation and revenge is interesting and I need to know what's going to happen next!!!
Welcome to the Catra Show, guest-starring She-Ra. It's a little silly how easily Catra wins all the time.
scorpia i am begging you to wrap me up in a blanket and rock me soothingly while you tell me i'm safe scorpia please-
"Not even She-Ra can take out an army of Horde soldiers on her own." Did you see episode 2, Bow?
"Hey Adora." — Catra
Lol, Catra's delivery
"The princesses are united. This is how it's supposed to be." Okay, now I'm disappointed
Now that we're at the season finale, the lack of substance and cohesion is rearing its ugly head. 1. There's a lot of telling done in this show, and it never helps make this world feel more alive. 2. Plus, the mindless in this episode is so mindless because what are they fighting for ideologically? and what's at stake? 3. Characters also like to say, "we can't do this!" without bothering with an explanation and I'm just left confused. 4. There's also the Rebellion and the Horde. What is the Horde's ideology, and what do they want? What's the Rebellion's ideology? All these issues built up and have finally become clear to me in this episode.
Surprisingly, this episode left me bored because it's all plot and not a lot of fun character interactions like the rest of the season. Plus, deus ex machina save the day so everything just feels so unearned. And these usually aren't a problem if I knew what was at stake and cared about their victory. Like, what happens if they lose? I don't know.
SCORE: 5/10
The scene at the end, where Adora wakes up, and Glimmer stretches out her hand to reassure her ("right here, Adora") nearly broke my heart. While I didn't really care for the episode that much in general, touches like that are why I'm still watching even if I'm not completely on board.
Grimmer is an interesting character and who are these graduates of 511 Kinderheim?
I felt bad for Robert, he died drinking cheap whiskey.
Lone wolf!
It will be exciting to see Johan as more than 2nd Hitler.
I've heard a lot of great things about this show and the first episode is very promising.
The premise is set in Germany and I believe the majority of our interactions with the main character will take place in the hospital though I'll likely be wrong. The story has already established what kind of person Dr Tenma is and I'm excited to see where his journey will progress throughout the next 74 episodes. An interesting concept I find intriguing is whether all human lives are equal or not. This has already created conflict within our main character's beliefs and morals and I'm excited to see what more he has to bring.
Overall great start
Had no idea she was a guy, did I miss the part where they mentioned that before or is this the first time it’s come up?
Kinda an emotional episode, or it would be emotional if it wasn’t the second episode, this feels like it should have been a mid season thing
I love how everything is so simple. You can figure out their emotions.
I think they didn't skip the essential from the manga, but sometimes it's a really awful episode to watch. For an art anime, hell, for any kind of anime, it looks really awful, in composition, and lack of detail shots. But the story's charm, nevertheless, still comes out; and the art scenes are finely put. So I'm hopeful.
What an epic Sad episode,i really liked that one specially that skating scene, the soundtrack was awesome and full of memories and emotions
also about the ending scene was also good..
For real that's epic
thanks for who done this one
btw wasn't that light from Death note?
Decim seems to be questioning his decisions more... he thought it was so easy to decide who was good and who was bad. Maybe so did we. This episode continues to challenge us in our assumptions... how does the adversity one has experienced factor into our decisions?
really enjoyed the mass effect style graphics and backdrop in this one
kind of a generic plot twist though
a big portion of this episode is just a sex scene
which I wouldn't care about if this was a normal length story
but the fact that time is important with a show like this
just kind of felt like it hogs up too much of the episode
"In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good."
"I never would have given you to them. Not for anything. Don't cry. You're perfect."
This episode has some incredible quotes.
That Ekko vs Jinx scene is quite something.
that fight between ekko and jinx was incredible. the whole situation reminds ekko of the times they used to play as kids. Jinx then stops and this wide smile spreads across her face. She remembers the same thing. SHIT
The animation in this show is amazing but the one thing that actually blew my mind was the shot of Jayce writing with a fountain pen. The slight bend of the tip showed me the incredible attention of detail they put into this. The other thing is the slight shifting of the eyes when characters are looking at each other. Just like in real life when we switch from looking at one eye to the other. In a previous episode when someone climbed down a ladder, he didn't just glide down, you could see the gravity pulling down on him every rung he went down. Everything has a weight. Compare this to The Clone Wars where they just look like weightless stick figures. I'll be rewatching this show again cause I feel if I picked up on that, how much will I have missed?
Loving the dynamic between Vi and Caitlyn. Great characters to pair up both very different backgrounds on the same track for different reasons. A familiar and welcome trope.
Wow wow wow. What an episode. That title and what it relates to are just so well crafted. After two episodes of setting the scene this was the last place I expected it to lead. I am SUPER invested.
I've got zero knowledge of League so glad that's not a requirement. Decent opening episode, solid world building without awkward exposition. Love the art style and music. Definitely interested to where it will go.
This season finale reminded me of Friends' The One Where They All Turn 30.
Such was a good episode - perfectly tied together with a nod to the pilot - would have made a great series finale.
