Awesome binge-watching through the all seasons.
This last season focus on Goren is very cool and remember a lot the relation of Tony and the psychiatrist int The Sopranos.
And Goren and Eames in the last scene, the future of the two remains in our imagination.loading replies
@rodrigoma Def great binge watch of every episode. I thought the same thing about Goren and the psychiatrist, it reminded me a lot of Tony and Dr. Melfi.

A bit confusing, so far. Who's pulling the strings? And I'm waiting for Sutherland's trademarked "Damnit".

Why does Buffy not get paid by the Watchers Council?
loading replies
@rodrigoma Yeah, she quit the Council in season 3. Then in episode 5x12 (Checkpoint), the Council turn up and start playing the heavy with the Scoobies. Talking 'bout if you pass all of these ridiculous tests we will tell you about Glory, if not we'll make your lives hell. Then, by the end of the episode, Buffy says eff that, you need me more....this is how it's actually gonna be. She goes off on one of her Boss speeches and then she's back on the books with Giles reinstated as her Watcher.
This episode just exist to spoiled you about The Sopranos, so with you never watched and want to watch Sopranos, be warned.

@rodrigoma Thanks for the heads up. I literally just started watching it

@mogwaylaven There will always be people who haven't seen something no matter how long it's been, and there are always good reasons for that. Obviously, if you go into a Sopranos forum or twitter thread or something, it's on you if you get spoiled, but people shouldn't just expect spoilers for something else in a completely different, unrelated show. I would expect Marvel to be a little more understanding of their audience. Clearly Wong was watching it for the first time, and therefore clearly so will many other people be doing the same. It's kind of a dick move.
Really enjoyed the show. The after-credits scene could set up an interesting season two.

@strazrouber I'm always grateful when trakt comments let me know there is an after credits scene. I just turned it off after the ep! Thank you!

@itswilder These lights were obviously Cylons. xD
Why is everybody complaining? It’s an awesome show. If you want to see some aliens, watch the countless shows about alien invasions - there are many.
But this one…is different. And that’s good. It’s about the people, not about the aliens.loading replies
@levim79 I thought the same, I'm really enjoying this show.

@levim79 What a joy it was to read this!
People complaining because they want to see aliens, shootings, explosions, etc., and it bothers them to see a series that tells the human side, that tells the drama that would be from the less supposedly "heroic" side, even though they have countless series and movies to watch over and over again the same thing.
The 2nd half of this episode felt rushed. They should have added 1 more episode or maybe another 30 minutes to this one to finish some things off.

@itsikg No reunion the older cast members weren't used as well and i feel they should of ended this season off with dexter appearing in the car saying to his son "now what?" .

@xander75 What about Batista? I was expecting a reunion...
Recently, I read this interview with Kevin Feige where he said that the Academy Awards have a bias against Marvel movies.
If you ever wonder why that is, look no further than the first 20 minutes of this episode.
You get this long 10 minute scene between Pugh and Steinfeld which hits a lot of important emotional beats for the plot, and the writing is actually not too bad.
Sure you have Pugh doing that awful Russian accent again, and Hailee Steinfeld’s making weird faces as if she’s Kate McKinnon in an SNL skit, but that’s besides the point.
Look specifically at how they shoot it.
Besides the bland looking apartment, you cannot shoot such an important and lengthy scene doing nothing besides shots and reverse shots and then expect to get an Oscar (or in this case Emmy) for it.
It is literally the laziest and most uninspired way to approach a scene like that.
So, what do they do to mask the poor filmmaking and weak story choices (because let’s face it, Marvel has once again put out something with a messy and unfocussed plot)?
Just take a quick look at some of the other comments, and you’ll get the idea.
It’s like they’re dangling a ball in front of a cat, and it’s kinda embarrassing to see how effective that is.loading replies
@jordyepp you are not wrong, accent, bad acting, shooting irritated me too.

You think you're not racist but you really didn't even watch it and commented anyway. You called several friends, told them to get on here and review it as a "1", maybe even went so far as to make a couple fake accounts to push the "1" above the "10". That's how pathetic your actions are and still somehow can't see how racist all these actions make you.
Another words, you're pathetic, insecure and probably live in a trailer park. Sit down

Are you kidding me with that final scene? The rom-com run, sealing things between Roy Kent and AFC Richmond?!
Love it, just love it.
Music, scenes paired to lyrics, the injury, the four of them standing there as the camera pulls back... perfect! On another note: not sure how to feel if the Bantr subplot leads to where it seems to be leading..

Interesting twist, or further back story to the iconic character…..was great bringing Kal-El’s mothers consciousness into the mix, added more unexpected history.
Only have one question, did I miss them say a short distance shockwave? as Morgan Edge’s assistant, Leslie Larr, seemed to be unaffected
loading replies
@petetorrev well, only the people who's consciousness changed recently by the machine are reverted back. So that could mean two things, 1) it's too long ago for her or 2) she's Kryptonion. I didn't pay attention for the second one, so don't know.
Enjoyably in depth look at Klingon culture. While the show has gone into it before, this episode really sets the template and kicks off a story arc for Worf that will continue across this series and DS9.
Tony Todd is amazing, as always. I also feel like we get to see a little of the real Picard slip through when he smirks at the old woman's line "he was too fat". Normally he has to stay very reserved but doesn't need to here.
Worf gets to shout the captain down, too. Don't see that often. The only slightly confusing thing is the discommendation ending: it's not explained, and I don't see how it differs from the verdict Worf would have received anyway.
loading replies
@lefthandedguitarist There is a difference between executing him and the discommendation.
If the Council would have upheld the accusation against Mogh, Worf had been executed. But that wouldn't have proven it. He still could have denied said accusations and there would have always been a shred of doubt left with some inside the Klingon Empire. By accepting the discommendation, he practically excepts his fathers involvement in the Khitomer massacre as fact by taking the blame. Now he is the son of traitor, exiled, shunned and disgraced without doubt. This has much more value for the Council.

So... complete speculation here... say the Sol of Kepler 22b is the uploaded consciousness of the Atheist (Campion the Creator)... maybe? Just maybe...
This would make Mother "the virgin mother" and her unborn child "the messiah"? If we roll with this saviour narrative... Father would be "the surrogate father", and Campion jr and the other children would be "disciples"?
