homie, they got walton FUCKING goggins up in this bitch
Such a cute movie. Went with a group of friends and we all came out emotional. It's a movie that is both funny and sweet with depictions of real life for many of us.
Stupid movie with terrific aero scenes in the jets.
Should have been called "Top Gun: Maverick 'N' Rooster" - talk about bleeding a situation to death!!
Where have I seen this "special mission" before? Oh yeah, Star Wars when they were trying to blow up the planet - flying between walls and avoiding guns - remember? Or how about The Dam Busters from way back in the 1955 - pretty close to that one too.
Completely predicable - and here's a newsflash... ever heard of Drones or missiles to do the job?
Very generous 5.5/10
I have watched it twice and I did enjoy it better the second time around.
The first episode is quite puzzling and ponderous, but they do get better: reaching a crescendo at episode nine, before quickly falling off a cliff for the tenth. Episode eleven is just a weird waste of time and completely unnecessary.
It looks good and has some recognisable names in minor roles.
You may benefit from having read the comics first.
I never noticed owt gay about it; so I don't understand any of the hoo-ha.
Yeah I think I'll be dropping out of A.P. BIO.
I'm really enjoying this series and overall this was a good episode but how the hell did Aimee manage to get Tommy Jeppard (big man) into the back of her truck and up to the room in that building? He's about four times the size of her.
Shitty show that is supposed to be comic but instead is annoyingly boring. This shit happens when you try to copy Silicon Valley tv series and your creative team gets everything wrong. After watching the whole season, I must admit that I was in the wrong and I shall retract what I said about it. It is a fine tv series, not as good as Silicon Valley but very watchable.
this is so great, i dont get the hate. i was only going go test the pilot and ended up seeing it all in a row . funny, witty, smart!
This is great and all... but, when do we actually get to play Mythic Quest? :crossed_swords::crown:
Go watch Haywire instead.
You won't get a lesbian love scene but you'll get more believable action, a better story, and a better cast.
Olga Kurylenko isn't the problem here. The wafer thin script and transparent plot is.
5/10
A hitman sent to kill Santa, on paper this idea sounds like something that could be so good. Especially if you've seen the Christmas episodes of American Dad which is exactly what I was thinking of with this movie. Sadly up until the last 20 minutes nothing happens, it's all pretty boring and the finale is pretty rubbish. I had high hopes but was left feeling like this movie had missed everything that should of been great.
The first few episodes start off a bit shakey and a lot of the characters initially start off a bit dense and/or one dimensional. I would urge you to give it another go and get through a couple of episodes. After that, this show proves it is entirely worthy of the score and praise it gets.
I’M NOT CRYING, YOU ARE
This ranks high in my "Worst Films I've Ever Seen" list. Sadly, it reflects the average quality of Netflix's comedy offerings. I wonder if its target audience find it amusing. About the only positive thing that I can say about it, is that it has a good cast, and many cameos.
I went to see this at the London Film Festival and was so excited to see a genre of film that I'm not normally a fan of. I went in sceptical but open minded due to Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead already having a large fanbase because of their other works. I was not disappointed and came out thoroughly satisfied with the plot, character development and the relationship between the 2 leads. The plot was very different and was unlike anything I've watched before. 5 minutes into the film and I already could not wait to see where the story headed. It gave nothing away as to how it would end and you were left guessing up until the last few minutes of the film. Admittedly, I went purely to see Jamie Dornan (guilty) but enjoyed Anthony Mackie's performance. He is the main lead, with Jamie being the secondary. The relationship between both their characters ranged from good humoured banter, to frustration and compassion with many other things thrown in between. Very excited to watch this again and to hopefully see other things I didn't notice first time around
Good show, but they really need to lose "The American" he's really not entertaining.
Three episodes aired and already there is lots of discussion. People hate it, people love it. Remember TNG ? ;-)
i got a major problem with the premise: so they modify our genetics to be able to survive titan because we cant survive on Earth, right? so why don´t change us so we could.... just live on earth? ^^
Oscar Isaac dance sequence is a must watch
Starts off pretty bad then all of a sudden you've been awake for 20 hours and binge watched the entire thing.
Persevere through those initial few bad episodes and you're in for a right treat.
The movie is told by the excellence in editing, photography, score (by Hans Zimmer) and visual/practical effects.
From the moment which the viewer notices that it is a non-linear narrative told in 3 (or more) points of view, the film becomes visceral, thrilling and captivating. It gives the sense of failure and weight on those soldiers' shoulders during the many days that they suffered from German's soldiers (which only appeared 2 seconds in the whole movie) . You feel the human sacrifice, courage and fear that was on that beach, with all of the people waiting to their death or salvation. You experience and live the patriotism of the civilians which adventure themselves to the sea to rescue their own.
Dunkirk is a singular masterpiece that recreates one of the miraculous periods of World War II.
This is a smart, funny and very entertaining movie with a killer soundtrack. The soundtrack has a little bit of everything and is choreographed perfectly into the action. Ansel Elgort is great and so are Kevin Spacey and Jon Hamm.
EDIT: Saw it again and it is still just as great.
No matter who you're or how you feel, after watching this show you'll be a different person. It'll touch you in the most profound way and change you. This a brilliant and amazing piece of art that will change the lives of various people for the better. Thank you so much Selena Gomez, Mandy Teefey and everyone involved helping to create this beautiful project.
Not allowed to do a review yet but I'll say this:
This is how you do a superhero movie.
This is how you do a war movie.
And the best comment of the night: "It was amazing, it made me believe I could become Wonder Woman." -6yo girl
If Stephen King and Steven Spielberg had a baby, this is EXACTLY what it would look it.
"This show has ended." Way to rub it in, trakt.
The hook for this show isn't the financial misdoings, but in the same vein as House of Cards, this is a show about wielding power and leverage. The fun is in watching the characters finding angles on each other and exploiting them.
Hopefully the fun continues. The acting is good, the characters are compelling and the financial industry is a good enough back drop to provide interesting storylines.
Another one of those shows that starts off pretty meh then finds it's footing and takes a significant turn for the better.
Gave up half way through season 1, gave it another chance, and now I can't wait for each new episode!
