Dr strange giving up the stone wrecked it for me
While the show did elicit a few chuckles, it was an overall disappointment. I think he lingered far too long on just about every part of the routine.
What a unique and uplifting show. The production quality of the music was unlike anything I've seen in any anime. The story was great, and it made me very happy to watch this. We follow two girls who decide to make music together after a chance meeting on a bridge and their rise to unite all of mankind.
The story is intriguing and it's well laid out. However, the main character Thorifinn is slowly reduced to an annoying side character with little value, and other characters are of more interest. The ending was really weak, and my rating is between 6 and 7.
The thing about a good anime, or any story for that matter, is that there has to be a good compelling reason to get into it, a good reason to keep watching it, and a good ending to tie it altogether.
Berserk was interesting enough to get into, and had high ratings to make me curious to watch it. There was no discernible plot until later, which was basically Griffith wanting to conquer the world and be king. This was his dream goal. There was some very loose ties to the necklace that he was wearing, the King's Egg, and this main plot. Most of the episodes existed outside of the main story, it seemed, with interesting fights and their conquests. The final episodes felt very rushed and detached from what the show had been building towards. It's was as if the team had suddenly been told "oops, hey you were supposed to have time, but ... well, finish it now" and it really shows.
I had to really struggle getting through the last episodes which became super dark, where the rest of the show wasn't. The shift in story and direction made me feel like it was a totally different show. It's not the show I got into, and as a result, the ending was a total mismatch from what I had expected and not at all satisfying.
There were some good quotes to think about, and the idea of fulfilling dreams in general. But it totally fell flat on its face on the end. I'm not sure why people overlook this in the other reviews, but I can't. There are many anime that will give you a good story as well as a coherent ending, this isn't one of them.
This anime really touched me. The story, the music, the art, it has it all.
The thing about this show is that it's my favorite. Sure, I have other amazing anime's on my list, like Stein's;gate. But this is a show that's brilliant in so many ways. How can you really compare two master pieces that are so different ? I can't say Hajime no Ippo is miles better, but I can say I wasn't on the edge of my seat in suspense in any other show. They grow characters nicely and their quirks transfer well, and the writers build on them. If you're not careful, you'll miss some jokes because of the deep character build-ups. It's a bit goofy at times, and it lightens the mood, and then it gets very intense. It's a nice emotional rollercoaster done very well.
I think you should watch this show
For having so many troops that were part of the swarm, they sure didn't have many boots on the ground when the team went to rescue them on the planet ... despite it being their "base". Suspend all your beliefs, and it's still not that great of a movie.
movie was good until the end. the main guy's character turned out bad
Strong first season. Second season is a joke. feels like it's just a bunch of super heroes holed up in apartments. How fun is that ?
The city needs to be protected with big walls from cranks but the rebels have jack shit and are fine? There were so many things wrong in the movie that it's not even funny. If you're able to look past that it's entertaining although super cliche.
The first thing wrong was the train chasing scene. It's infesting how the train could stop exactly where newt etc were. It's in fact unbelievable; which is not good.
The Trish character is so stupid it makes this show painful to watch at this point
I'm not going to beat around the bush. This episode was badass. More common philosophy and a good joke on the characters
Probably a great movie if you are ten years old. A lot of corny jokes and cliche situations. IOW it's really all been done before so if you're ten you haven't seen this type of movie it may do it for you. Also a situation where gravity was defied which had nothing to do with super powers (the bus scene was just silly). It has its moments for sure but everything is just over the top. Clearly for the younger crowd.
Rob Lowe! Didn't expect to see him as blue man
I thought for sure there would be more than one season. It's a pretty badass show. They could have gone a bit further I think because after the first few episodes, it slowed down.
A story based on law but but on justice. At least they could have made strong arguments, but they didn't even do that.
If we had invented something, and could be held responsible for people abusing the product, then how would that encourage progress? To say guns are an exception is a simple case of special pleading fallacy.
Just stop with time traveling already
If my nose was bleeding, I would wipe it. Just say'n
Produced by Ron Howard? Really? I loved the books although I'm not caught up. I felt that the movie was weak and corny, not at all the intense story that King was weaving. Not that I expected it to follow my imagination in the book, but I had expected a movie that was more tight. Matthew did a fantastic job in True Detective but even he felt unimaginative in his acting.
Not bad but the ending sucked and brought it way down
The show was too slow paced for my liking and the main plot was pretty shaky too. I don't get why it's heralded to be that great. That said, they pulled off the ending pretty well.
These episodes are useless for me who's only watching one of the shows. Just makes me want to abandon it and stop watching since I have no idea what's going on. Also, even not counting that perspective ... the Schutzstaffel and nazi's ? c'mon. the whole concept was weak
this show is so boring and cliché. SAO and re-zero spinoff but without doing anything real to make it interesting. After a number of episodes dedicated to Ichirou running around being cute with his various women companions, I gave up. It had small element of uniqueness which maybe will be used later, I don't know. I can't take it anymore.
Can someone please tell me Snart will stop appearing as a character? I hate this guy, and it's the only character I dislike
OK, flash from E2. In this episode, you're going to have to squint real good when you take Velocity 9. Can you do that?
many good episodes, but this isn't one of them. the trickster is such a childish character. way too simplistic. and come on, the whole blackmailing the superhero with the lives of innocents? ugh. This made me question what I'm doing watching the show.
Not sure why this movie has 75%
Animation leaves a lot to be desired. Plot is super cliché and there's way too many issues with little things. For example, how the hell did the storks know the sparrow's name is Richard? The parents were dead when they found him ... as an egg! Lots of things like that (and my 11 year-old spotted this one).
Highest rating if for nothing else than the wooden cube skitch. It was so freaking cool.
