I was really hoping to see how Cisco and Winn would interact as they're both goodhearted nerds. Maybe during next years crossover :)
I see I have to explain a three part crossover of 4 shows here aswell! The crossover starts with the Flash episode. They have always mentioned and you can even check the titles of the episodes. Beside that it was still an amazing episode!!
"I'll settle all your scores!" - Does that what I think it means? Sounds very much like a Ghost Rider solo series tease. I don't think I could handle that much epicness.
Do we have an explanation as to why a photographer suddenly has the martial arts skills to take on an ex navy seal? Yeah didn't think so. This James storyline is annoying and making us have to sit through more of his awful acting.
This Cadmus storyline is a bit all over the place too and Cyborg Superman with the appearance of uhh.. Not superman? Why have the name?
Oh Alex and Maggie. This slow burn is killing me but is being handled SO well! So far completely realistic also the writing and acting are both spot on.
Again this was a very cool episode! But one thing wasn't realistic: WHY DID KARA NOT PUT THE MASK OFF AND BURN EVERYONE TO ESCAPE WITH Mon-El????
I understand Maggie's actions, but man, seeing Alex like that just broke my heart :( Her coming out story has been developed very well, great acting by Chyler. Still wish she was bi, but oh well.
Hope Kara rescues Mon-El ASAP.
James... just no, it's clear the writers are trying their best to strip the character away of everything that makes him Jimmy Olsen. I mean, he even mentions his camera, when he hasn't taken a single pic in ages. And his vigilante persona, what is that? Dig's helmet + Zoom's voice + Oliver/Laurel's motorcycle. At least he seems to have some original parafernalia. Shouldn't have worked against Parasite, though. I'd hope this doesn't last long, but I guess it will.
Alex coming out was heart felt. James thinking everyone needs him as a hero is annoying though. "This is who I am.", no dude you're supposed to just be a skinny camera man with freckles.
Fuck man. Way too real. The Alex storyline has hit the nail on the head consistently and is a totally realistic portrayal of this kind of life event. No matter how much it hurts I'm glad they went for realism over cliché. Also bravo Chyler! Loved the scenes with her and Kara this week.
The creature of the week was an interesting concept but was just an okay execution.
Mon-El, not sure how I feel about that. I like that he wasn't insta hero and developed later but also feel like we're gonna see him as a villain maybe. Especially now Cadmus has him.
And calling back to a previous comment I made. James, just no. I struggle with his character all the time as his acting level is nowhere near on par with his castmates. This storyline is just awful and he is ridiculous. Can't believe we lost Cat and got to keep him.
There's nothing I've ever needed more than Alex's storyline.
Chyler's performance could not be more real; she's done so much justice to Alex Danvers and made her character so legitimate.
Alex's discovery of her sexuality, her coming out, her entire experience is so, so close to my own (and likely many gay women) that I can't thank the writers enough for giving this to us. I definitely could not stop the tears when Kara told Alex she wasn't alone in it. This could not be more important at a time where it feels like minorities are continuously disregarded and mistreated. My heart is so full after this episode.
Alex' coming out was so pure/real and important fml. Yes straight ppl this is how you develop a gay character. That storyline is real as fuck IT HAPPENS IN THE FUCKING REAL LIFE so get over the "the writers just want to please the gays or can the writers stop writing stories that have nothing to do with their sexual preference?". We need/deserve this rep. And finally, i'm so glad the writers pulled this off i'm really looking forward to see maggie falling for alex ahhhhh fuck
Killer Frost is so cool! she has some great powers, that combined with Caitlin's brain and her knowledge on speedsters' biochemistry it makes for a formidable villain. Of course I don't want our dear Cait to go fully evil, but I hope we get to see her still struggling trying to control her powers/evil side.
"My name is Barry Allen and I hope to be the fastest man alive. To the outside world I'm no longer an ordinary forensic scientist, but secretly, with the help of my friends whose lives I screwed up, I feel bad and argue a lot. After quiting my job and helping Caitlin Snow, I ran back to Star Labs, only to find things weren't as I screwed them. I brought new Flashes to my world, and I'm the only one slow enough to let them. I am Screwed"
When I need a guilty pleasure to watch, this is it. However it's sad that MacGyver is considered a success but better new shows like Exorcist, Timeless, No Tomorrow and Frequency aren't.
So, they're trying to turn captain Barnes into "The Judge"? because I'd be okay with that. I mean, that storyline sort of fits with his character.
So pissed about what happened to Isabella..
Barnes carried weight of this episode on his shoulders. I liked it.
One month hiatus? For fucks sake. Why? I'm guessing Doctor Strange will influence the upcoming story line quite a bit (same as Winter Soldier in S1) and they're just giving us time to watch it. But still. One fucking month.
But at least we saw Johnny fucking Blaze. So that's cool.
That scene where the prisoners run scared and lock themselves back up when they see ghost rider... priceless.
What an episode. This season is way better than the previous one and the Wild West episodes are the best, probably because I just love the old West. Jonah Hex is amazing as always, and what to say about Sara, she's just so badass that no one should mess with her. Now she used a whip. A freaking whip. Is there something she hasn't used? I loved that bar fight. And Turnbull, he was amazingly portrayed. I loved it. It was a bit weird that they found dwarf star alloy in there, but at least Ray will have his suit back. At least he will stop whinning now. three episodes were just too many. I'm enjoying too much the relationship between Ray and Nate. When he said "I think my horse is broken" I just fell off the chair.
and that last bit, "our friends in 2016 need our help". I'm so freaking exited for the crossover. I can't wait. Only one week left for this super team-up!!!
So glad Ray found some dwarf star. Three episodes of whaaa! I don't have a suit was too much.
"Our friends in 2016? They need our help."
Oh, man. I'm so freaking excited for this crossover. We just have to wait one more week!
I can't believe that I almost stopped watching this show halfway through season 1. I absolutely adore it now. Season 2 has been amazing so far.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: it wouldn't be an episode of Legends of Tomorrow without a bar fight. Sara fucking shit up with a whip was fantastic. I rewinded that moment like 12 times when I was watching the episode.
"This isn't my first rodeo." - Sara Lance at her second rodeo
I love her so freaking much. She could punch me in the face and I'd probably thank her.
Nate's suit is so dope!
The first Wild West episode was great (definitely one of the highlights of an otherwise uneven and messy season) and I had high hopes for this one. It didn't disappoint. It was hilarious, it was action-packed, it was just incredibly fun. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Goddamit, that cheap old trick ending the episode with a gunshot and the surprised faces of two characters fighting.
I hate myself for watching a show where Dolph Lundgren actually raises the bar on the acting front. I feel like I need to be drinking along with Quentin Lance.
That final twist felt a lot like the ending of 3x05, when we learn that Roy supposedly killed Sara. Except, well, for the fact that I don't buy this for a single second
No fucking way... there's no way he's actually Prometheus. Stop fucking with us
"My name is Quentin Lance. After five years drinking just whisky, I started a job with only one goal: to prevent Oliver Queen from killing my daughters. Today, I fight that war in two fronts. By day, I oversleep and work as deputy mayor. But by night, I am someone else. I am something else. I am Prometheus"
Mick and Sarah have been carrying the show for awile now. Looks like they are giving him the monumental task of making whats him name interesting. TBH it's probably what he needed from the start, an odd couple or foil pairing.
Usually "visit the slave era" episodes of TV shows are a trainwreck. This was actually one of the better episodes.
Every episode of this show is pretty messy, but this was a big step forward. For the first time they actually focused on the time period they were on, and used it as a cornerstone of the storytelling
