HOW CAN THEY CUT THAT? I know it’s such a simple thing, but it’s another staple fallen by the wayside. They need to revert back to the old format next season. This is ridiculous.
I admit that Loosey can be a bit intense and often on the edge of taking herself way too seriously, but I don’t disagree with her here. Mistress’ teacher look was basic, and Luxx’s was even worse. Honestly, both of them haven’t been overly impressive all season. I would feel slighted too.
Even despite a VERY lackluster lip sync, Loosey deserved to be in the finale. Ross’ shoe critique was quite a stretch. Talk about splitting hairs unnecessarily, when there were other obvious missteps for this challenge. All-in-all disappointing. I’m not surprised when viewers believe this show has a preset agenda.
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Wish’:
Gaston officially has a rival for the sexiest Disney villain.
My first major thought is how I don’t understand the disdain this film has been getting. This was a solid Disney story. A touching standalone fairytale, with great characters, gorgeous animation, and those signature Disney tunes. Yeah, there were a lot of Easter eggs. I loved ‘em. This is clearly a love letter to Disney history, to the man himself, and I was moved by it.
“Knowing What I Know Now” is a certified bop. And I was giving ALL the snaps when the queen joined in.
Carolyn is everything. She is most definitely making this season interesting.
It was a fairly predictable season, but fun to watch regardless. Even though I honestly found the final lip sync to be somewhat underwhelming, those two deserved those spots based on class alone, and I do believe the right queen won.
Carolyn is everything. Such a unique personality, and she comes across as super authentic and a breath of fresh air for a show where we’ve seen so many personalities. Really, really rooting for her.
Probably the best episode of the entire season. It was often a frustrating ride, but this was a fitting end to the show (except you killed the character I was rooting for the most). Bittersweet and hopeful. I just wish there was a little more Hannah.
I am SO.. so very sick of Althea and her stupid :pound_symbol:%&@! tapes. It’s beyond overdone. She could be such an interesting character if she stopped dwelling on such nonsense. It does NOTHING for the story. Ugh.
I’m not sure how I feel about the plan for this season. I love the charity element, and that these organizations are getting some visibility. But — with no eliminations — there are zero stakes each episode as a viewer.
And there doesn’t seem to be any criticisms coming from the judges either. The love fest is nice and all… and these queens have certainly earned their praise… but we still need some CRITIQUE… and I only foresee the concentrated love fest continuing.
My qualms aside… this is an EXCEPTIONAL cast. I can’t help but look forward to what they’ll bring to the stage each week. I think I have to look at this season as a celebration of this show’s legacy rather than a competition.
When I do vote, it won’t be from watching that performance challenge. Am I the only who can never understand what they’re saying? And the decision to have a lip sync for the win was probably based on the fact that the show wasn’t ready to lose Q or Plane Jane… which would have likely been the case.
Yam Yam’s big personality came across, to me, as “showy” and forced. I was not enamored by it like everyone else. And I don’t believe he was as strategic as everybody perceived him to be. He clearly wanted Carolyn out for a while, but failed at convincing anyone else. So I’m not thrilled with the winner. (Although it beats last season.)
I was really rooting for Carolyn, but happy she reached the end. We, as an audience, were lucky to have watched her play. Such a unique and genuine contestant.
I could barely understand any of the queens’ lyrics in that challenge. I thought the whole number fell flat in general.
Also, I’m all for positivity, but does anyone feel like the judges are holding back constructive criticism? That they’re being a little too complementary like the last All Stars? Looking on the bright side of a queen’s flawed looks is a beautiful thing, but lite-critiquing does not an entertaining reality competition show make.
The amount of secrets is getting exhausting. At this point, Jen and Judy have no reason but to be completely open with each other. Jen holding back the pregnancy news to her was absurd, and annoying.
I absolutely adore Michelle Visage, and I don’t think Drag Race would ever be the same without her and her honest, constructive critiques. She is one of the best judges I’ve ever seen on a reality competition show.
With that said, this episode also proves to us the powerful presence of RuPaul. Her absence took a lot out of this episode.
My heart. I can’t remember the last time I became this emotional from a TV show. Straight up ugly-cried. That was rough. RIP Il-Nam.
Stellar episode. Slowing it down, but ramping up these characters and the stakes.

One of my biggest television pet peeves is when a character can explain a situation a trillion times better than they actually do - and they don’t. When they can very easily defend their actions, successfully and succinctly - and they don’t.
That was Hughie here. Frustrating to no end. Starlight doesn’t deserve you.

I did NOT expect to get emotional watching this show. But here we are lol. It was all actually really sweet.
Also, kudos to James Marsden for signing up for something like this. If I wasn’t already a fan…
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Talk to Me’:
It peaked with that brutal scene, when the game took a violent turn (I straight-up gasped), which was fairly early on, and the rest of the film never really reached that level of shock again.
Was it just me, or was the audio pretty awful? So many conversations were unclear. I couldn’t understand how the mom died. She took too many pills, on accident, and then clawed at the door? How does that work?
I really liked the concept of the hand (albeit somewhat confusing). And I think it’s interesting to see it used as some sort of party game. But when characters are dumb enough to revel in something so awful, it’s difficult to care about their fate. I wasn’t fully invested in them.
I’m not ready. Not even a little.
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Halloween Kills’:
If I had to hear “evil dies tonight” or one of the many other melodramatic one-liners again, I was going to scream. This film tried wayyy too hard — and it failed, miserably. Awful writing. I believe this is the worst contribution to the franchise and, considering a few of them, that’s saying a lot.
Intro and score aside, this didn’t feel like a Halloween film by any means. The theater was constantly laughing — and not in a good way. Michael Myers took on characteristics and acted in ways that were very unlike him. For example, our classic Michael was always super stealth. Barely ever seen. That was what was creepy about him. Frankly, we saw way too much of him here.
I hated how “deep” they tried to take this incredibly-jumbled plot. Insinuating that Michael was ultimately out to turn the town against each other, bringing out their evil. No. That’s not Michael. It’s quite a stretch. And the side plot of the escaped patient was random and ridiculous.
Bonus Thought: I’m honestly not at all a fan of this timeline. I think their biggest mistake was taking the connection away that Michael and Laurie were siblings. It provided motive and stakes and the family element that was always a part of the mythology.
Why does it feel like this season has very little to do with the first two?
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Evil Dead Rise’:
This was standard. Fairly typical horror fare. That was my initial thought when leaving the theater. It wasn’t bad by any means. But it also doesn’t do much that’s new. I didn’t hate it.
I kinda wish the Evil Dead mythology was a little clearer. There doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason as to who gets possessed and why. I was expecting the aunt to turn after getting injured multiple times. I’m not entirely sure how the woman at the end gets possessed and is then able to mosey on down to the lake with her friends. I thought she’d find the book and bring it with her. Did Beth beat the evil after throwing them into the shredder? How about the other possessed folk still in the hallway? I dunno… my OCD brain needs more rules as to how this all works.
There were definitely a solid number of creepy visuals (many spoiled in the trailer, unfortunately… what else is new). And that was quite possibly the most blood I’ve ever seen on film. But the mom provided the best moments. She was creepy AF.
Wow. Just when I thought it was getting a little too predictable, it went there. That was dark.
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Circle’:
Was there supposed be some deep meaning at the end? Did I miss something? Pretty sure I didn’t. And all the anticipation was directed towards the conclusion. Disappointing.
It was a simple, yet intriguing premise, so I didn’t hate it. But there was so much more potential to have been reached. I thought there’d be some big twist with the guy who never spoke or killed anyone. That would’ve been cool. But nope.
I was often confused by the logic of some of their decisions. There were AWFUL people in that room who stayed around far too long.
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Spirited Away’:
I can appreciate the imagination and whimsy infused into this film, but it just wasn’t my cup o’ tea. And I reeeally wanted to like it.
I sincerely cannot understand the high rating. There is simply not a cohesive storyline here. It was kinda all over the place. So much was random, nothing was really explained, and it was often difficult keeping my attention — especially with the long runtime.
It feels like they tried really hard to tug on the heartstrings, but there was such an emotional disconnect for me. I was not invested into these characters at all, sadly.
I love that contestants are in the opening credits again.
Annnnnnnd even more questions. Great.
Also, nothing in this episode made any sense. The randomness of this series is infinite. And I believe that every revelation, every plot progression, will continue to be random. Because, after two whole seasons, NOTHING is connecting. Nothing.
Dear creators and writers, if there’s another season, please give your audience some effing payoff for once. It’s getting ridiculous.
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Possessor Uncut’:
I struggled giving this a lower score because it’s such an intriguing concept and the beginning was super strong. The acting was great and the visuals were on point.
I struggled giving this a higher score because I feel like the ball was dropped a bit at the end. I was left scratching my head more than I wanted to. I love me a smart film that doesn’t have to spell everything out for its audience, but I don’t love feeling unnecessarily dumbfounded.
No matter what the hell just happened, this woman clearly shouldn’t be working anymore.
Boyd not telling people about what he discovered is infuriating.
