A really bad show. They have fooled me alright. Subpar plot with worse actors. Main actress has one expression she uses the entire time. So many subplots were introduced and were never resolved. Acting was really bad from almost everyone involved. The last episode I couldn't even finish. I wanted to write a very long review, picking apart every aspect of this show, but it really isn't worth my time. I would skip this one people and try and find something else to watch.
Terrible show with unlikable characters. Stupid plot, atrocious writing with even worse acting. The plot holes are deeper than the Challenger Deep.
And don’t make me talk about the cinematography, editing and sets.
Harlan Coben adapted on British TV is something I will avoid from now on. The plot is overly complex to look smart and oh so mysterious when in fact it is full of plot holes, characters acting beyond common sense, etc. Acting is so so, this is overlong......Try the first episode at your own risk, but if you don;t like it that much, don;t waste any more time like we did. Definitely not worth it
And ABC just cancelled after five episodes.
To be honest, I expected this after the first episode. Watched it because of Katey and I do like it. But I understand that it gets no traction with viewers. It isn't a clear cut drama because of all the comedy elements. It is also not funny enough to be a comedy. And it shouldn't be with a topic like that. So it tries too much to pull in viewers from different angles. Maybe if they had focused on the dramatic aspects it could have survived. Acting wasn't bad, I liked seeing Katey again.
Let's see if they at least manage some kind of ending.
I really think some people don't understand the history behind the "history" that are watching at all. Many people 'see', but not 'observe'.
This series have a lot of connotations, such politics and social, from a showdown with a dictator; unto to release of real feelings. Almost all characters have a full evolution of her personality... even Naga hahaha.
At first I agree looks like a little child's series, but think is a masterpiece in all respects. I recommend this series to all public, seen or not any other series of the Avatar's universe.
PS. James Cameron's 'Avatar' not included. xD
Super hilarious right until the end and refreshing cinematography :sparkles: i enjoyed every second of the show
Please don't be cancelled please don't be cancelled please don't be cancelled...
Seeing the cast, I'm asking myself which of the parents was the unfaithful one, since they clearly don't have the same parents.
Couldn't they at least have the same ethnicity (Don't really care which).
All this time and i still can't get over this cancelling. .-.
After 4 seasons, I think many people could watch themselves reflect in Devi's life, a person with intense emotions, kinda crazy, growing, finding herself, embracing her culture, creating strong relationships with her mom and family. Such a funny show.
One of those shows that doesn’t quite sure what it wants to be, but pretends it does so that you’re tricked into believing that there’s a point to the plot. So you keep waiting and waiting, through one disappointing episode to the next, until you realise you found the perfect show to ignore and just play at the background for some sort of sensory stimulation while you do other interesting things, just so you somehow finish it and gets off your “continue playing” list on Netflix.
I want expecting much when it came up as a suggestion in my prime lists.
if you're a homophob, not for you.
if you're not into girl power, strong women, not for you.
if you're racist, not going to be for you.
if you like fantasy, crossed with "crime" solving, military-ish with superwomen? you're in luck.
it's surprisingly engaging. charmed with a while lot more kick-assery going on.
Great show -- if all the episodes were released at once, I wouldn't sleep ;-)
I feel like my reactions to and enjoyment of this show is the adult equivalent of how 13 year-old me felt about The Vampire Diaries... and I don't mind.
Not alot to say about this one, don't expect too much. Just watch this when you're home tired from work/school and don't want to use your brain.
It's an ok show.
For my taste, it was too much like a parody sometimes. Lots of clichés and stereotypes, lots of over the top (quite frankly not very good) acting, lots of dumb jokes.
In this same quick, comedic style, Younger is a much better show. And fashion wise, I'd stick with The Bold Type, or even the timeless Devil Wears Prada.
The potential was there, but the execution was sloppy. I hope they get better writers if it gets picked up for a second season.
If I had to describe this show in one sentence I would call it a terribly bad narcissistic Walter O'Brien ego-trip.
Enjoyable fantasy. Liked THE SHANNARA CHRONICLES ? You'll like this one too. Hope amazon can do as good a job with thier tolkien adventure/comedy/drama.
Nothing tastes as good as salty dude bro tears, honestly watching all these men have a tantrum makes this even better.
As a nineties kid I never watched HeMan, and honestly it’s too dated for me to enjoy at this point, so I am coming in fresh here. But this is amazing animation, and incredible voice talent.
The story is compelling and enjoyable, with twists and wonderful female empowerment. This is modern animation at its finest and I am very invested in the future of this program.
I hope to see queer representation also as was done with She-Ra.
Episodes random order is such a bad idea 6 /10
Overall it was a good show. I liked the way he utilized wit and fast talking to get out of random situations. The action and story were good and kept the show moving forward.
My main complaint is about the ending. Of all streaming networks, why doesn't Netflix actually end a series with an actual ending? The way they cancel shows this one may end up with a cliffhanger that never gets finished which would be a big disappointment. They could have easily finished up this part of the story in a different way to put a cap on the 1st season.
How did they get these actors I don't understand. It's bad. Career killer bad.
Like someone said somewhere; "right concept.wrong network". The premise is nice, the pilot was nice, but right now the show if filled with useless and boring sub-plots and empty characters doing "I have seen this stuff 20 times on tv" moments. Grant Wilson is the only one who doesn't annoy me in this show.
I will see the season finale for the main plot and just that. the rest it´s like i´m watching Disney channel.
Neat concept but too many cliches to list. It’s like they used AI to write a sitcom script as it checks all the boxes.
It’s not my cup of tea and I don’t plan to I watch the rest after a couple of episodes. it’s cute at times, but there are too many annoying supporting cast characters that bug me.
Goodbye! While the final season was all over the place especially after the multiple breaks … it is now understandable why it happened that way: sudden cancellation when they have planned for it longer … not easy to suddenly cut it short.
Hopefully we'll see another spin-off of the original franchise and see character cameos to connect the worlds/series.
Again, thank you Legacies actors and staff! It has been a very fun ride!
I found this to be a fun lighthearted reinterpretation of chinese stories they do alot of homages to kungfu movies which is great definitely a safe way to get the family into kungfu films or shows
This is a very long show, so it might take a while to finish, but it's definitely worth it. This show has come to a close in 2015, but it still has relevant topics to be discussed by our generation.
This coming-of-age drama is extremely watchable, with a good balance of humour and heart. The casting is great. Will probably appeal more to teens and women than adult men. Only complaint is that Ben Gross is an anti-Semitic portrayal in the first season that doesn't upend the tropes it's playing on but instead reinforces them; this is consciously dialed back in the second season and beyond.
